“You-”
“I won’t disturb Lawyer Reynolds from coming back to get his things. Mr. Walters has some matters to attend to.”
Cedric ignored Sirena’s angry glare and walked straight into the elevator after speaking.
Sirena’s hands clenched tightly in anger, her body trembling uncontrollably!
Great, now everyone is laughing at her! Even Cedric is stepping all over her! Fine, let’s see how things go. There will be a day when Ulric personally welcomes her back.

In the hospital room, Eva was lying there listening to some music, feeling quite at ease.
These were CDs that Malcolm had specially found for her, which were no longer available on the market.
“Shall I give you a leg massage? Recently, with all the school matters, I’ve been feeling sore in my shoulders and back, so I went to a masseur. I thought it was good and learned a few techniques.”
Malcolm had been called by Eva, but he hadn’t told Rosalind.
He didn’t want her to overthink things!
“You, a university professor, are willing to lower yourself to give me a leg massage?” Eva raised an eyebrow and looked over.
“Look at what you’re saying. Even if I were a university president, I’m still your junior. Isn’t it right for me to take care of you? Rosalind is busy with work and has many things to do. It’s just that I have some free time today.” As he spoke, he started massaging Eva’s legs.
To be honest, his technique was quite good, with just the right amount of pressure.
For once, a slight smile appeared on Eva’s face, though her gaze remained scrutinizing.
“Trying to please me won’t do any good. I can’t control my daughter’s thoughts.”
Malcolm smiled helplessly, “You’re overthinking it. I just see her as a sister, like Tilda. I’ve stopped thinking about anything else.”
“Heh.” Eva snorted softly, as if seeing through his thoughts. “A man wouldn’t be so attentive if he didn’t have something to gain.”
Malcolm didn’t argue, just kept smiling and continued massaging.
Although Eva’s guard was still up and her words were full of probing and intentional sarcasm, at least she was willing to interact with Malcolm now.
Until Rosalind called, “Mom, I’ll be at the hospital in about half an hour. Is there anything you’d like to eat?”
“No.” Eva glanced at Malcolm. Just as she was about to say something, Malcolm quickly gestured for her not to.
After hanging up the phone, she raised an eyebrow. “Why didn’t you let me say anything? Aren’t you doing all this so my daughter knows?”
“You’re really overthinking it. I’m just here to keep you company when she doesn’t have time! If Rosalind knew, she’d distance herself from me.” Malcolm squinted his eyes and smiled. “If she orders me not to come anymore, how would I be able to keep you company?”
“Hmph, smooth talker.”
“If you say so!” Malcolm glanced at his watch. “She’s coming over, so it’s time for me to leave! Don’t tell her I was here.”
After getting a nod from Eva, he tidied up briefly and left the hospital.
As he got downstairs, he suddenly saw Rosalind getting out of a black sedan not far away.
Ulric had personally brought her.
They were talking about something, then Rosalind waved her hand and walked into the hospital.
Malcolm tugged at the corners of his mouth. He was about to look away and leave when he unexpectedly made eye contact with Ulric.
He thought… Ulric would come over to pick a fight or issue a warning after seeing him. But instead, Ulric’s gaze paused for a few seconds without giving him any attention and then he simply walked back to his car.
That invisible sense of pressure was palpable even from such a distance.
No wonder he could be the president of W Group; that kind of unintentional aura is something ordinary people can’t fake.
