Ulric’s eyes darkened.
“I’ll find a way to get my mom to accept Rosalind.”
“There’s no way! Your mom only acknowledges Sirena. Didn’t you hear her at the hospital?”
Ulric glanced towards the bedroom, “There must be a way.”
He just hadn’t thought of it yet.
Caesar was silent for a long time before lowering his voice, “Sirena just pulled me aside and made a suggestion. She wants to pretend to be with you in front of your mom, at least to stabilize her condition! I don’t want to deceive your mom, afraid that one day the truth will come out. But if you insist on not breaking up with Rosalind, this is the only way to ease the situation. Think about it.”
With that, he hung up the phone.
Ulric frowned at the phone screen.
He knew very well that convincing his mother was impossible, only a temporary measure could solve the immediate problem. But… he had a bad feeling about it.

Perhaps exhausted from Ulric’s demands, Rosalind slept deeply.
When she woke up the next day and saw the ceiling of Easthaven Bay, it took her a while to realize where she was.
She got up, washed, and then walked out of the bedroom.
Ulric was wearing white loungewear, facing away from her, typing on a computer at the dining table, seemingly discussing company matters. His thick eyebrows were slightly furrowed.
In the kitchen, breakfast was steaming hot.
Everything… how wonderful it would be if it could stay like this?
Hearing a sound, Ulric looked over, “Wait a moment, breakfast will be ready soon.”
“Okay.” Rosalind nodded, shuffled over in her slippers, “Is there anything I can help with?”
“Just wait.”
She obediently sat on the other side of the dining table, resting her face in her hands as she watched him.
Ulric was really handsome! Back in school, she often overheard female classmates talking about how good-looking he was. Even in public restrooms, she would encounter two girls arguing over him because they both had crushes on him.
She remembered clearly how those two argued fiercely, eventually betting on who Ulric would accept a love letter from.
In the end… he probably didn’t accept anyone’s letter. Because as far as Rosalind remembered, when Ulric was her deskmate, there were no other girls around him, and he was always cold and distant towards them. He carried the same aloof and noble demeanor in the company now.
Who would have thought that such an unattainable person would secretly harbor feelings for her!
Thinking back now, Rosalind still found it unbelievable, like a dream she had.
“What are you thinking about?” Ulric put away his computer after finishing his work.
“Thinking about how popular you were in middle school.”
He was taken aback, seemingly unaware of his own charm, “It wasn’t that bad. I didn’t pay much attention.”
“Don’t joke around.”
Ulric walked over with a serious expression, “I have something important to discuss with you.”
“Alright, go ahead.” Rosalind also put away her smile and looked at him, “What’s up?”
“It’s about Sirena.” Ulric had thought for a long time and decided to first see how Rosalind felt about Sirena.
Although it would be easy to keep it a secret from his mother by pretending in front of her, he didn’t want to deceive Rosalind.
At the mention of Sirena, Rosalind’s expression changed immediately, her face tensing up.
“Let me make one thing clear: she and I cannot coexist.”
