“Greedy Wolf, the rest is up to you. For now, keep the news of the Ford family’s downfall under wraps! As for their businesses, continue operations without drawing suspicion,” Kayden instructed coldly.
Greedy Wolf instinctively asked, “What about Ernest?”
Kayden glanced at Ernest and replied, “Considering his contributions to Nine Dragons’ Souls, we’ll remove his position and lock him up for now. We’ll deal with everything else later.”
With that, Kayden strode out of the Ford Villa without looking back.
As he reached the entrance, Leonel called out, “Wait!”
Kayden turned to him and asked, “What is it?”
“I… have a good friend in the Razor Kings. I told him what happened, hoping he would help me get revenge. I… didn’t know you were so powerful. Before I die, can I ask you to spare him? Don’t worry. He’ll be loyal to you from now on and will provide whatever you need,” Leonel stammered, realizing he had been foolish to confide in his friend during such a crisis.
Even someone as powerful as Uncle Ernest had to kneel before Kayden, let alone The Razor Kings!
Kayden said nothing and simply smiled slightly before turning away. His back was a death sentence. The Ford family had been placed on the extermination list.
Soon, screams echoed throughout the Ford Villa. The once-dominant Ford family, able to crush opponents with a mere glance, had transformed into a hell on earth.
To Kayden, no one could touch Georgia. Anyone who dared would face one fate-death!
The Fords had acted tyrannically for too long, abusing their power and ruthlessly eliminating those who crossed them. Just one recent example was a young couple who came to Hiphia for business and struck it rich. When they clashed with a company under the Ford family, the Fords murdered them outright.
Moreover, they used their influence to bury the incident completely. The Ford family’s transgressions were numerous. They acted like emperors, unchecked and ruthless.
After today, there would be no more Ford family. They would become a thing of the past.
In truth, Kayden’s motivation for eliminating the Ford family was solely for Georgia!
Georgia was everything to him! This woman meant the world to him!
After returning from the abandoned warehouse, Karis did not go home. Instead, she arranged to meet a friend.
Having drunk heavily the night before, she couldn’t remember what had happened, only that she woke up that morning with a splitting headache. So she decided to stay out and go home at night.
Karis walked home feeling increasingly gloomy. The events at the warehouse were distressing. She never imagined Damian would prove so useless. At such a critical moment, he had let her down, leaving her with a huge regret. She thought he could have had sex with her all night.
She thought Georgia was probably dead by now. That woman had dared to meddle with her family’s affairs. She was so unlucky.
Soon, Karis arrived at her home, but something felt off. The house was pitch black, not a soul in sight. It was a moonless night, and the wind howled, making the scene eerie.
This was strange. The lights were never off at home, and there were always guards at the entrance. It was the first time in her life she’d seen the Ford Villa so quiet. This was unbelievable!
Thinking this, Karis quickened her pace toward the house. As she stepped inside, a strong scent of blood hit her, an ominous feeling surged within her.
In no time, she flicked on the lights, and a scream pierced the silence of the Ford Villa. There were no bodies, but blood was splattered all over the main hall.
Karis didn’t need to ask what had happened. Terror gripped her heart, and tears streamed down her face.
She didn’t know how long she cried, but eventually, her gaze hardened. She had to find out who had destroyed the Ford family. She must find this person!
By the time Kayden left the Ford Villa, darkness was setting in.
As he reached the stairs, a woman’s voice called out, “Mr. Scott, please wait!”
Following the voice, he saw a girl approaching with her hands clasped at her abdomen. She had a ponytail, and wore jeans and a white shirt, radiating youthfulness. But now, her face was shy, like a girl in her first love.
“Mr. Scott, do you remember me?” Mya asked, her big eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Kayden frowned slightly, not answering the question. Instead, he asked coolly, “Do you live here?”
Mya shook her head, saying, “No, I’m here waiting for you. I knew you’d be back, so…”
“Is there something you need?” Kayden cut her off sharply, his tone devoid of warmth and tinged with hostility. His eyes also held a slight look of displeasure.
Mya was waiting for Kayden to come back with great anticipation, but she didn’t expect him to be so cold. Mya’s heart sank at his coldness. It wasn’t that she had high hopes for him, but his reaction was hard to bear.
“I…” Mya hesitated, biting her lip as if making a decision. Finally, she gathered her courage and said, “I want to treat you to dinner, to thank you for buying the house from me. If it weren’t for you, I might be unemployed by now.”
As she spoke, Mya grasped Kayden’s arm, as if afraid he would walk away.
Seeing her action, Kayden’s brow furrowed slightly, his gaze falling on her hand.
Mya noticed his look and quickly said, “I’m not that kind of woman.”
In sales, many women slept with clients to make sales, and she feared Kayden would misunderstand. She clarified, but even if he were to make a move, she wouldn’t agree-after all, Kayden was married, and she was still a virgin.
Inviting him to dinner was a sincere gesture of gratitude; selling that house meant a lot to her.
