Stone Chief glared at Kayden with the fury of someone on a steroid high, his teeth clenched so tightly that they felt like they might shatter.
“What? You don’t accept it? You won’t get another chance to fight me because you’re about to die!” Kayden said coldly.
Stone Chief felt the sting of a dignity that had been crushed.
Kayden wasn’t fighting him at full health. If he were, he could easily kill Stone Chief in an instant!
How could this be possible?
Stone Chief couldn’t believe it. According to Kayden, if he were fully recovered, he would be at the Master level level-or even higher? Impossible! There couldn’t possibly be such a young Master-level expert in the world.
In Seclela, there were hardly more than ten people who had reached the Master level, each one a legend. This guy before him was barely in his twenties-how could he be a Master level warrior? Unless, unless he was a reverse-aging man.
Realization dawned on Stone Chief!
There were indeed people who aged backward, living from a hundred years to zero, only to die!
Perhaps Kayden was that reverse-aging Master level Hermit!
With his eyes wide open, he asked, “How old are you?”
Kayden paused for a moment, then replied casually, “Twenty-five!”
He spoke with a hint of pride on his face.
“Impossible!” Stone Chief shook his head in disbelief. How could he accept being defeated by a twenty-five-year-old?
He had spent fifty years in seclusion, training relentlessly, achieving the Grand level. He had emerged determined to make a name for himself, only to be easily defeated by a young man. Not only that, but it meant his fifty years of dedication had come to nothing.
Someone who had lived only half as long as his seclusion had easily defeated him. It was utterly laughable.
Stone Chief refused to accept it. He could not be humiliated like this. If word got out, he would be ridiculed by the martial and hermit communities alike.
Reputation mattered too much for someone his age. He relied on his reputation; if people knew he had lost face in Hiphia, it would be better for him to die.
“No! No! No!” He uttered three “no’s” in quick succession, gritting his teeth and gathering his strength to charge at Kayden again.
This time, he wasn’t fighting for the Ford family but for his dignity. He had to kill this arrogant man to restore his lost pride.
Kayden smirked, a cold smile on his lips. If Stone Chief was looking for death, Kayden wouldn’t mind granting him that favor. The intent to kill enveloped the Ford Villa, sending a chill through everyone present.
“Why is it so cold?” Some people noticed the temperature had dropped noticeably.
It was Kayden’s murderous aura. He had killed millions. Whenever he wished to take a life, he brought with him a palpable intent to kill.
“Stop it, you bastard!” Suddenly, in that critical moment, a fresh and divine voice rang out from outside.
The tension in the air broke as everyone’s focus shifted to the voice, and Stone Chief’s movements froze mid-attack.
A woman dressed in black gracefully entered the Ford Villa’s main hall.
She wielded a long sword and wore a black veil, obscuring her face. Yet her figure was stunning, clad in an elegant long dress that flowed as she walked, her movements light and enchanting, exuding a captivating allure.
Though her face was hidden, her figure alone signaled she was undoubtedly a great beauty.
The scene felt like a goddess descending to earth, leaving the anxious Fords wide-eyed. Everyone held their breath, silently watching what this newly arrived woman would do.
Unbeknownst to them, Stone Chief was trembling in fear. He had never expected to encounter this woman again. He thought that after fifty years, they would have forgotten about him, but here she was, as soon as he showed himself.
He timidly raised his gaze to the woman, but as soon as his eyes met hers, he quickly looked away. Her eyes were entirely black-there were no whites, just dark irises.
This was the only regret and glory on her face.
“Did you think that by hiding, Lion Portal couldn’t do anything to you? I told you, wherever you are, Lion Portal will find you. Now that you’ve shown yourself and caused trouble for my Lion Portal, are you trying to push us into the abyss?” Her divine voice rang out again, sharp and accusatory, like a high-ranking judge issuing a decree.
Suddenly, Stone Chief’s legs gave way, and he fell to the ground, stammering, “Holy Maiden, I didn’t… I wouldn’t dare!”
‘The once fearless Stone Chief was now trembling before this woman, kneeling in fear. Holy Maiden? What kind of position is this, and why does it make the Stone Chief so afraid? Is this a movie?’ The Fords were bewildered, unsure whether what they witnessed was reality or an illusion.
They thought Stone Chief could handle everything, yet he had just been easily defeated and was now kneeling before a woman.
The woman huffed lightly, scolding him, “You wouldn’t dare? You dared to steal the Shadow Realm of the Portal. What wouldn’t you dare?”
At those words, Stone Chief’s eyes widened as he pointed at Kayden, declaring, “The Shadow Realm has been destroyed! It was him! Holy Maiden, that guy destroyed the Shadow Realm!”
He pointed at Kayden with conviction.
Cutler quickly added, “That’s right; he was the one who broke it. We all witnessed it just now!”
The woman ignored Cutler, not even glancing his way, and shot a piercing look at Stone Chief. Then, in a light tone, she said, “I’ll deal with you later, you scoundrel.”
With that, she strode toward Kayden!
The Fords watched in shock. She was undoubtedly going to interrogate Kayden.
Kayden had injured Stone Chief and destroyed the Shadow Realm. This woman would seek revenge for the Shadow Realm. Seeing Stone Chief terrified and kneeling before her, it was certain that this young man would suffer consequences.
This young man was finished! He was definitely finished!
The Fords eagerly anticipated her move, hoping she would strike down Kayden in one blow and take Stone Chief away, allowing them to avoid any casualties and resolve the entire crisis.
