Chapter 145: Half of the Ten Minutes Were Spent Chatting.

Karis shot a piercing glare at Georgia. She did all this not out of concern for Georgia, but because she firmly believed that Damian, the hero in her heart, shouldn’t associate with someone like Georgia.
Little did she know, Georgia had no desire to be entangled with Damian at all.
Cheetah and rest of the people were taken aback by Karis’ words. They even doubted if they had misheard. Was this really a request from Miss Ford herself? In the hearts of her countless admirers, Karis Ford was the goddess, like a rose that grew on the cliff of the mountain, gorgeous yet untouchable.
But now here she was, ingratiating herself with Damian, leaving everyone in disbelief. Had Miss Ford lost her senses?
Cheetah had once secretly admired Karis, but he knew all too well the insurmountable gap between them.
Now, Karis’ actions threw him into deep disappointment. Still, he had to stifle his anger, keeping it buried deep inside; after all, Damian was not someone to provoke lightly. A single misstep could have him killed in Damian’s fury. It’s a matter far from trivial.
“Georgia, you think you can challenge me? Let me tell you, you will never be my match. We don’t need to do much; a simple command, a flick of a finger, and you could vanish into dust,” said Karis triumphantly, her voice dripping with arrogance.
Georgia lapsed into silence. At this moment she cared nothing else but wished only that the disgusting brute would keep his distance. And Karis’ sudden appearance seemed like a timely rescue for her.
Damian studied Karis again. His gaze roamed over from her hourglass figure to her stunningly gorgeous face. Faced with such a breathtakingly beautiful woman, he had no reason to refuse.
Rather than forcing someone else, choosing a willing partner was a far more appealing option, and this was a decision he would readily embrace.
Thus, he stepped closer to Karis. His hands traced her body, caressing and even kneading it. Karis stood there, neither retreating nor resisting. She appeared very compliant.
Seeing her obedience, Damian nodded in satisfaction and asked, “Are you truly willing?”
“Of course, it’s an honor to spend time with you.” Karis nodded her head in response.
Undeniably, there was a streak of madness in Karis. In her eyes, only someone as formidable as Damian could be called a true hero. And she saw herself as a beauty, believing only such a true hero was worthy of her.
Damian let out a satisfied laugh, then said, “I appreciate a straightforward girl like you. In that case, come with me.”
With that, he took Karis by the hand and led her toward the door.
Cheetah hurried to stop and call out, “Damian, you can’t do this! She’s from the Ford family. If Mr. Gerry Ford finds out, he’ll hold all of us accountable!”
“Why should I care? They paid me to take that woman’s life, and I’ll do it later. As for Miss Ford, she came to me willingly, and they have no reason to blame me for that.”
He paused as if it suddenly struck on him something. A cold glint flickered in his eyes. “Don’t try to scare me with that old man. If he dares cross me, I’ll wipe out their entire family!” he added.
Knowing well that Damian was ruthless and impossible to persuade, Cheetah turned his aim to Karis. “Miss Ford, you promised me you wouldn’t act recklessly, didn’t you? How could you…”
Karis, however, remained unfazed. “Shh, let’s just keep this between us. I assure you, as long as you keep the secret, no one will ever find out.”
With that, she firmly grasped Damian’s arm and put on a demure and obedient posture.
“Keep an eye on that woman. I’ll be back in half an hour,” Damian commanded.
Then he led Karis out of the small room.
They stepped into a small tile-roofed house. Karis felt a rush of anticipation as she gazed at Damian’s broad back. Oh, she’s gonna have the best day in her life with this rugged man.
Gosh, it felt like a dream. It ignited an unprecedented wave of nervousness and anxiety within Karis. Though in the eyes of others she had always been aloof like rose, yet nobody knew that she’s actually fervent when it came to sex.
About ten minutes later, Damian and Karis walked out of the small tile-roofed house in tandem.
Damian wore a satisfied grin, walking while adjusting his belt. His confidence could be heard from the thud of his feet. As for Karis, her cheeks were flushed, glowing radiantly, like a rose that had just quenched its thirst with morning dew.
As they came back to the small room, both Cheetah and Kent revealed a surprised look. “You’re finished already?”
Damian darted Cheetah a sharp glare and reprimanded, “Are you blind?!”
Cheetah almost blurted out to question Damian why he was back so soon. He had said it would be half an hour, right? But Cheetah held his tongue for fear of provoking Damian.
Blushing, Karis threw Damian a shy glance. “Well, I’ll be heading out now. We can find time to talk later after you kill her.”
With that, she turned and strode out of the warehouse without another word to Georgia.
Karis had never expected Damian to be the kind of man who looked robust but was utterly impotent; he hadn’t even managed to wait until he truly entered her and just went soft. He looked like he could fuck good, but the result was just the opposite. To be honest, she felt deeply disappointed in Damian.
She had imagined it would be an exhilarating experience, yet now it had turned into a major letdown.
They had even spent five minutes chatting just to preserve some of his dignity.
For Karis, the ten minutes felt like a profound insult.
After Karis left, Cheetah asked with a look of puzzlement, “Damian, did you two really do it?”
An annoyed expression crossed Damian’s face as he snapped back, “What? You doubt me?”
Cheetah quickly waved his hands and explained, “No, no, how dare I doubt you! It’s just I feel…”
Damian’s anger flared at his words. His face twisted into a fierce expression, radiating a menacing intent. Sensing the tension, Cheetah hastily admitted his mistake, “I was just joking! I know your strength and your ability.”
Damian let out a dismissive grunt but said nothing more. He set his eyes back on Georgia again as he commanded, “Time’s up. Let’s get to it!”
“It’s truly baffling that they paid me one hundred million for such a simple task. Or it’s just because the Ford family has money to burn?” he murmured to himself.
In reality, dealing with someone like Georgia didn’t require Damian to step in personally; Cheetah could handle it alone. To Damian, this one hundred million came too easily for him, and it could hardly earn him a sense of satisfaction.
“No, no!” Georgia screamed in despair as Damian advanced toward her. Tears cascaded down her cheeks, gushing like a spring.
In the face of such imminent danger, it felt as though she had no choice but to cry.
She could sense the suffocating presence of death closing in. Death was truly right before her!
In that moment of utter hopelessness, she bit her lip and cried out, “Kayden, Kayden!”
