The man knelt on the ground, writhing in pain as he pleaded, “Doctor, I hope you can truly cure my wife! We’ve been married for ten years-she was only twenty when we got together. We’ve endured so much hardship, finally establishing ourselves in this city and building our own home. Who knew we’d encounter something like this? If anything happens to her, I can’t forgive myself! Please, Doctor, if you can heal her, I beg you, do it! If you can’t, and there’s not a 100% guarantee, I hope you won’t make her suffer any longer. She’s endured too much in her life; I really don’t want her to suffer anymore.”
The man’s heartfelt plea moved everyone present. These elderly men couldn’t help but sigh. He was clearly a man of deep emotions and strong principles. When he first approached Seth, he had the same tearful expression.
Kayden remained unmoved, coldly stating, “Don’t worry, I’m 100% sure I can cure her.”
With that, Kayden turned back and began inserting the needles.
One by one, he carefully placed each needle into the woman’s body. In no time, Kayden had inserted thirteen needles-each in a different location and acupuncture point. According to traditional acupuncture principles, these points shouldn’t be punctured simultaneously, yet Kayden proceeded regardless.
As he inserted the final needle, Seth couldn’t hold back his astonishment. “What kind of technique is this? I’ve studied numerous acupuncture methods and points, and I’ve never seen such an unusual technique. Are you sure you’re not just messing around?”
Before Kayden could respond, Lewis murmured to himself, “Exorcist Thirteen Needles!”
Upon hearing Lewis speak, everyone turned their shocked gazes towards him. Mr. Gorden, unfamiliar with traditional medicine, didn’t understand what it was, but Seth recognized it immediately.
Seth widened his eyes and repeated, “What did you say? Mr. Henderson, these are the Exorcist Thirteen Needles? The acupuncture method for treating evil diseases, lost for centuries?”
Lewis relaxed his expression and nodded, “Yes, that’s right. The Exorcist Thirteen Needles! I may not understand traditional medicine, but I’ve heard of this technique!”
Everyone was stunned by the name, as many were unaware of such a method.
The Exorcist Thirteen Needles, as the name suggests, is an acupuncture technique specifically for treating evil diseases. Thirteen needles are inserted into different acupuncture points; once the technique is completed, it can effectively resolve the issue. However, due to its eerie nature and the fact that it was passed down through a single lineage, this method had long vanished from the world.
“Cough, cough, cough!” Just as everyone was processing the shock, the woman began to cough. Astonishingly, her complexion brightened slightly, and she stopped biting her lips. More importantly, she gradually relaxed into a peaceful sleep.
“What’s happening?” Everyone leaned in to watch, and the woman slowly opened her eyes.
She was awake-truly awake!
But after a moment of staring, her eyes rolled back and closed again. Kayden reached into his pocket and placed a pill into her mouth. Then he turned to the man with glasses. “Take her home and let her rest for two days.”
The man nodded hesitantly and then turned his gaze to Seth, clearly placing his trust in Seth.
Seth stepped closer to the woman and checked her pulse again. His brow furrowed deeply. The woman demeanor shifted as if a surge of energy flowed through her. Her pulse had fully recovered, and her previously lifeless state was now revitalized.
Seth was taken aback but maintained his composure. Admitting Kayden’s prowess now would undermine his own reputation-he couldn’t do that.
He shook his head slightly and said, “Take her home first.”
Soon after, the man and his wife left the Henderson family estate, supporting the now fully recovered woman.
Lewis bowed respectfully, clasping his hands together. “Dr. Scott truly is extraordinary. First, you used the Revitalization Nine Needles, a technique lost for thousands of years, to save my daughter-in-law. Now, you’ve employed the Exorcist Thirteen Needles, another lost technique, right before our eyes. This is truly surprising. If you need anything in the future, don’t hesitate to call on me. I am at your full disposal!”
Lewis’s promise was something many had longed for.
Even Alex and Seth nodded in agreement. They exchanged glances, now convinced of Kayden’s abilities. Lewis had made his intentions clear-he believed in the young man’s skills.
In reality, Seth and Alex were quite envious of Kayden. At least he had earned Lewis’s absolute trust.
Lewis wasn’t foolish; he could see that this young man was far more capable than the two old men who relied solely on their reputations. The mere use of the Exorcist Thirteen Needles was enough to prove that Kayden was no ordinary person.
Lewis had kept the Henderson family strong for decades, and now it was clear why.
Sariah nodded in agreement, “I told you we shouldn’t doubt Dr. Scott.”
Kayden didn’t mince words. Picking up on Lewis’s praise, he immediately responded, “I do have a favor to ask of you, Mr. Henderson.”
Upon hearing this, Lewis hesitated for a moment. He knew Kayden would likely ask for money, but he hadn’t expected Kayden to reveal his hand so quickly. Nevertheless, it was only natural.
With a joyful smile, Lewis clapped his hands together and said, “I know what you want, Dr. Scott.”
“You know?” Kayden was confused.
Soon, a middle-aged man in his fifties approached, holding a bank card. He handed the card to Lewis and said, “Sir, here’s one hundred million dollars.”
Mr. Gorden and Seth widened their eyes. One hundred million dollars was an enormous sum-something these two had never seen before in their lifetimes. They instantly felt envious.
Lewis nodded, accepting the bank card. He then handed it to Kayden, speaking earnestly, “Dr. Scott, this is to express my gratitude. Thank you for saving our daughter-in-law! This bank card contains one hundred million dollars. I believe this money should adequately convey my thanks.”
