Chapter 133 The Giants in the Southwest

“Have you all not noticed that Sariah is deliberately waiting for that guy? That guy is definitely not someone ordinary. Don’t judge a book by its cover.”
“I’ve noticed it too. Do you think we’re idiots? When Sariah was talking to him, she actually smiled!” Inside the vehicle, Sariah sat opposite Kayden, deliberately crossing her legs to showcase her legs.
“Dr. Scott, I’m sorry for all the trouble we made for you.”
She clearly referred to the large number of people they had brought there.
Kayden waved his hand. “No trouble at all! Though you do have quite the charm, attracting so many people wherever you go.”
Sariah chuckled and then looked disappointed. “So what? I still can’t catch your attention! Not even a glance. Can’t you spare me just one look?”
Was she mocking herself?
Never mind! The woman before Kayden was no longer the obedient Wood she was used to.
Sariah had deliberately crossed her leg to entice Kayden’s attention. Up close like this, she had revealed her most attractive feature. Surely, no man could resist paying attention!
But she had miscalculated. Kayden hadn’t glanced her way at all, as if he had no interest in her whatsoever.
This made her wonder if Kayden was even a real man.
Kayden sneered, “I don’t want to hear jokes like that again!”
Sariah’s smile faded. Then she huffed, her face showing irritation.
Then she said, “Now do you know what others are saying about us?”
“Doesn’t matter!” Kayden maintained his carefree demeanor. “A clean hand wants no washing. I don’t care what others say.”
Sariah was speechless again. He truly was a man without a sense of romance.
They fell silent instantly.
After a short while, they arrived in front of a grand mansion.
It was an old-style mansion, with wisteria vines covering the outer walls, many sections of the plaster peeling off. Several large trees extended branches over the walls from within, shading the perimeter.
As they reached the entrance, the words “The Henderson Mansion” were prominently displayed in Kayden’s line of sight.
Upon entering, a vintage building stood tall. It was a house built entirely of columns-whether wooden or concrete was unclear. The roof was tiled with glazed tiles, and the building was imposing. While typical houses for residents were only three or four meters high, this one stood over ten meters tall, clearly the residence of a former wealthy family.
This was the old Henderson family mansion, a traditional structure that had been passed down through several generations.
During the war, the Henderson family had contributed to the country, so this mansion was never seized and remained with the Hendersons. This was also why the Henderson family had thrived in Inassea over the years.
“Dr. Scott, please come in!” Sariah gestured towards the house, putting on a very polite demeanor.
Kayden was not one for formalities and strode confidently into the building.
He had never been accustomed to being courteous. To him, everyone was equal-maybe people nowadays still ranked each other, but in Kayden’s eyes, there were only the living and the dead, enemies and allies!
If anyone annoyed him, no matter how strong they were, they would just die.
Soon, they entered the main hall. On a large conference table sat three elderly men, all over sixty. Seemingly they were engaged in casual conversation.
Upon seeing Sariah and Kayden enter, all of then fixed eyes on Sariah.
An elderly man dressed in a classic suit stood up and asked, “Where is Dr. Scott?”
Sariah pointed to Kayden walking ahead and said, “Sir, this is Dr. Scott!”
The man was the head of the family-the elderly man in the classic suit was Lewis Henderson. Lewis had slanting eyes, eyebrows arched upward, and a triangular eye shape that made him look ruthless. From his appearance, it was clear he was either very good or very bad.
After Sariah spoke, everyone’s attention shifted to Kayden, they scrutinizing him from head to toe, from left to right. The young man looked malnourished, skinny, with pale skin.
“This is Dr. Scott?” one of the balding elderly men with glasses asked skeptically.
Sariah nodded, “Yes, this is the Dr. Scott I met in Hiphia.”
Their faces instantly showed disappointment. They had expected Dr. Scott to be a respected elder, not such a young man. This was truly unexpected.
Except for Lewis, everyone present was a medical practitioner. They had all seen Sariah’s illness, which had been considered a mysterious and untreatable condition. But somehow, this guy had cured her.
When word got out, they naturally came to see what kind of person could heal the mysterious disease.
They had expected an elderly man, but it turned out to be such a young guy!
“This is impossible,” one of the elderly men, dressed in white suit with gray hair and a gray beard, said incredulously. He looked to be in his seventies but had the appearance of someone in their fifties.
He emanated a scent of traditional medicine-undoubtedly, he practiced traditional healing.
Lewis laughed heartily, quickly trying to smooth things over, “As the saying goes, great talent emerges in youth. Our history in Seclela has more than once proven this.”
After speaking, he raised his hand as if to invite them to sit. “Mr. Scott, please have a seat.”
Lewis had already switched from calling Kayden Dr. Scott to Mr. Scott, indicating he didn’t quite believe Kayden was a miracle healer. Perhaps Kayden was able to heal Sariah simply because he happened to understand her condition!
Kayden didn’t dwell on this and took a seat in the chair.
As he sat, Greedy Wolf stood behind him, like a bodyguard.
Soon after sitting down, Lewis pointed to the balding elderly man and introduced him, “This is Mr. Alex Gorden, the director of Inassea Provincial Hospital!”
Kayden nodded to Mr. Gorden in greeting.
Then, Lewis turned to the elderly man in white suit and said, “This is Mr. Seth Fetch! He is the most renowned traditional medicine physician in our southwest region, and his family’s medical techniques have won numerous awards across the country.”
“Both doctors are pillars of our southwest region, having saved no less than eight hundred lives. Mr. Scott is proficient in medical arts. I specially invited both of you to discuss further.”
Lewis intentionally emphasized this last part.
