Her panick attack

Kylie got up from the cold floor suppressing the painful yelp and dragged herself to the bedroom upstairs. Sebastian’s sudden mood change seemed very odd to her. Why did he become so angry at the mention of Kalvin’s name?
Kylie waited for a long time before she dozed off. When she woke up the next morning, Sebastian wasn’t back yet. She dialed his number several times but no one responded to the calls. She finally gave up and thought about going to the company. He must be there since it’s Monday. While getting out of bed, she realized the pain in her tailbone was still there. Ignoring the pain she got dressed and put on a pair of flat ankle boots to avoid the pain in her waist increasing from high heels.
As soon as she reached Smith Corp, she took the exclusive elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. She nearly bumped into Paul while getting out of the lift. Paul’s face was tired.
“Paul, is Sebastian in his office?” she finally asked him after dwelling for a while.
“Yes, but his mood is terrible today. He has been barking orders and yelling at every one since the morning. All the executives are shaking and sweating because of his bad mood. Can you please do something about this?” Paul nearly pleaded. Kylie took a long breath before nodding to him.
“Let me check on him,” saying that she pushed open the door of the CEO’s office. Sebastian was busy reading some documents on his table.
“Paul, have you got all the reports of the last six months? Put them here and bring me the accounts report,” Sebastian asked when he heard the noise of the door opening without raising his head to see Kylie.
“Sebastian, can we talk?” Kylie said as she awkwardly walked to his table. Sebastian froze and raised his head to finally meet her gaze. His eyes were red as if he hadn’t slept last night. Without replying to her, Sebastian concentrated on the documents in his hands.
“Sebastian, at least tell me what I did wrong. Why are you behaving like a stranger? And you are pressuring everyone because of something I did. They are all worried because of your mood,” Kylie said with a soft voice. Sebastian scoffed without sparing her a glance.
“If they can’t handle their work then they should resign instead of whining at you. And you, are seeing all the men in my company to know what was going on their head?” Sebastian said with a look of suspicion.
“Are you crazy Sebastian Smith? It was Paul who told me that everyone was exhausted otherwise why would I care about your employees? What do you take me for?” Kylie couldn’t help but yelled at him.
“I take you for what you are, a fucking slut,” Sebastian was raging in anger. His words were like a bucket of iced water for Kylie. She couldn’t believe what he said to him.
“Grabbing a few drinks with my friends made a slut? Then what about sleeping with you?” she asked with a broken voice, tears started forming at the corner of her eyes.
“I paid you to sleep with me, just like what people do with their sluts. Who knew if you only grabbed drinks or had slept with your so-called friend? And what did he give you this time? A car or something more expensive?” Sebastian walked closer to Kylie with his accusing looks. The next moment there was a loud sound of a slap. Kylie slapped him on his face.
“I thought you changed after all those years. But you are still the same, a scumbag. And let me tell you the last time Sebastian Smith, I have never let anyone touch me other than you let alone slept with anyone,” saying that she left his room with long stride. Sebastian frowned watching her uncomfortable steps.
Kylie went straight to her cabin and slammed the door shut. She was shaking in anger. She threw her bag on the couch and slumped on the swivel chair. Grabbing her head with both of her hands she tried to calm herself but her body was shaking heavily. This was a sign of her panic attack, she quickly searched the drawers of her table in search of her medicine. Just then the adjoining door of her cabin clicked open and Sebastian walked inside.
“Why did you run away? Couldn’t accept your reality?” he said in a mocking voice. His eyes were still radiating anger and distrust for her. Kylie tried to ignore his words and continued searching for her medicine. Did she forget to refill her medicine after shifting to the new office? Kylie tried to remember but then she felt a pull on her arm.
“Why are you ignoring me now? Wasn’t it you who wanted to talk to me a while back?” Sebastian pulled her hard making her stand up from the chair. Her body was shaking uncontrollably. Kylie tried to say something but she felt it hard to form any word. The world around me was becoming dizzy. Sebastian frowned feeling the continuous tremor of her body.
“What’s wrong with you? Why are you shaking like this? Are you feeling cold?” Sebastian asked, his voice laced with concern. Kylie couldn’t reply to his questions instead few drops of tears fell from her big eyes before she fainted in his arms.
“Kylie, talk to me. Kylie, what’s wrong with you?” Sebastian panicked. He faintly slapped her face a few times but she was unmoving. He picked her up and started running to the elevator. Outside of her cabin, he met Paul who was shocked to see an unconscious Kylie.
“Paul, call the driver to get my car and call to hospital to get the doctors ready,” he ordered and rushed forward. Paul also ran behind him. While they were in the elevator Paul made several calls to arrange the car and doctors. Everyone present in the lobby was surprised to see their cold-hearted boss running like a maniac with a fainted Kylie in his hands.
Soon they reached the nearby Smith family hospital. As soon as the car stopped a group of doctors came rushing with a stretcher. Sebastian placed Kylie on the stretcher and ran along with the doctors to the emergency room. He was stopped by the doctors outside of the emergency room and asked to wait there.
A few minutes later a nurse walked out with a form in her hand. She went straight to Sebastian.
“Mr. Smith, what is your relationship with the patient? Where is her family?” the nurse asked, she was a middle-aged woman who seemed to be experienced in her work.
“She’s my wife, I am her family. How’s she doing? What happened to her?” Sebastian asked frantically.
“We don’t know yet what happened to her. The doctors are checking on her. Can you give me her symptoms before she fainted?” the nurse asked. Sebastian nodded and started explaining everything he saw.
“She was shivering heavily, it seemed like she had trouble breathing and talking. Also, I think she had pain on her tailbone,” he said running his hand on his hair. The nurse noted every detail and went inside leaving Sebastian there. At that moment all his resentment for her seemed to vanish like foggs in sunlight. It was that moment when he realized how important she was to him. He couldn’t live without her.
After what felt like an eternity a doctor came out of the emergency room. Sebastian went to him hastily.
“Doctor, how’s my wife?” he asked.
“Mr. Smith, I think your wife was suffering from depression,, and that led her to a panic attack and shock. Why didn’t you give her medicine on time? Then it wouldn’t be so serious. Luckily you brought her here on time, if you were late by a few minutes, then she could be in a permanent coma by now,” said the doctor. Sebastian felt the ground under his feet was swept away by someone.
“I didn’t know she was suffering from depression or if she had any medicine,” he said honestly looking down in embarrassment. She was his wife and still, he didn’t know she took medicine for depression. Why hadn’t he ever noticed any sign of depression on her face.
Was he really that indifferent to her or was it her who hid everything from him? Everything about their marriage felt like lies to him at that moment. Was she really the Kylie he knew four years ago? Was it he who caused her panic attack today? If he hadn’t questioned her or accused her then may be she would still be fine. Sebastian felt regret and remorse. He then turned to the doctor.
“Doctor can I meet my wife?” he asked.
“She is still unconscious, she should wake up within an hour. Then you can meet her,” the doctor said respectfully and left.
