Ava and her mom didn’t leave Manila, Lorenzo happened to have an apartment in the city, so they stayed with him, waiting for Ava’s scandal to calm down.
“Mom! Mom! Mom! Come have a look!” Ava ran to her mother’s room, as her face was filled with excitement.
“What’s that dear?”
Ava brought her phone to her mother, “The news says Mr Morgan is dead. He died from a car explosion, maybe someone planted a bomb into his car.”
“Oh my, isn’t he Olivia’s sugar daddy?”
“That’s exactly my point! Don’t you think luck has been on our side? this is our chance to ruin her forever then we’ll leave Manilla.”
Hilda smiled, “I already have a plan for her.” She pulled Ava close and whispered into her ear.
“Wow! Mom, that was fast! Let’s see how she’ll unite with her dad and live a decent life.” She sneered.
******
Olivia glanced at the phone’s screen, the caller was from an unknown number, so she swiped to answer the call.
“Hello Olivia Winters,”
Olivia frowned, the voice extremely familiar. Even in her dream, she would never forget Ava’s voice, her frown grew deeper.
“What do you want?”
“Oops, I’m sorry for calling at the wrong time, I know you’re mourning for your dead sugar daddy.”
“What are you talking about?” Confusion was laced in her voice.
“Hold on, you have no idea?”
“I don’t have all the time in the world to listen to your nonsense. You either get straight to the point or I’ll hang up.”
“Don’t get so worked up. I see you have no idea, this is going to be a lot of fun.” She giggled.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in hiding and feel remorse given the fact that your lies have been exposed and everyone knows how vicious you are?”
“Ouch! That was harsh. Keep having fun. Uhhm, I saw something in Larry’s room earlier today. Your mom’s name is inside it, so I believe it hers and you would need it. It seems pretty important.”
“What’s that?” Olivia quickly asked.
“Don’t delude yourself, thinking I’ll tell you what it is, what am I? Your message girl? Oh cut it out already. You’ll come see what it is and pick it up yourself, cos I’m about to toss it into the trash bin.”
“You know, on a normal day, I wouldn’t inform you about this. I’m doing it because it was my mom that killed your mom. Sorry, if I touched a sore spot. So come pick it up before I change my mind.”
Olivia seemed to think for a while, she knew Ava would really throw away her mom’s stuff, just to show her hatred for her. As much as she was curious to know what the property was, she was ready to go get it and secure it.
“Where should I come to pick it?”
“I’ll send you an address soon. Remember, don’t dare to keep me waiting.”
With that, Ava hung up the call.
It was already getting dark, and Cherry was asleep. Olivia was quick to dress up, grabbed her phone and handbag, then left to meet Ava, at the address she sent.
It wasn’t long before the taxi she boarded halted In Front of a tall building, and informed her that they were at the address. She thanked him and came down, her eyes scanning the environment.
There was nothing unusual about the environment and people seemed to live in the building, with that Olivia made her way into the building. In the address, she was to come up to the top floor, with room number 2201.
When she arrived at a door with the room number, she knocked, but the door suddenly opened, so she walked in.
Her gaze darted around the room, she was about to send Ava a message to inform her that she was already at the place, but her voice cut her off.
“Look who we have here. A daughter who’s willing to secure her mom’s property, Tsk” she sneered, walking into the room in her six inch high heels.
“I’m here now, give the item to me already.”
Ava laughed sarcastically, grabbing a chair for herself. “You still don’t get it, do you?”
Olivia frowned, an uneasy feeling growing in the pit of her stomach.
“Earlier I presumed you didn’t know what happened to your sugar daddy, what a pity?”
Now Olivia was more confused, “What are you talking about?”
Ava faced palm, she shook her head and raised them to look at Olivia. “Why don’t you check this morning’s news. I can’t be the bearer of such news.”
Olivia nodded and took out her phone, after a while, she slipped her phone into her bag, her countenance suddenly dropping. As much as she wanted to hide her emotions in front of Ava, tears couldn’t help but slip out of her ears. Her heart ached, as if it was being twisted by an invisible hand. She needed to leave.
“Thanks for the information, can I have the item, I’ll leave after that?”
“You really think, I’ll call you to grab your mom’s item if I found one? Are you that naive or you’re just stupid?”
“Your mom is dead, your supporter is dead too, you won’t enjoy living alone. Don’t worry I’m going to make that easy for you and the bastard you’re carrying.” Ava’s face changed as her voice turned cold.
“I won’t have you spout rubbish about my baby, it was just a waste coming here!” Olivia started and made to leave when the door was suddenly shut.
“Ava what are you trying to do??” Olivia asked, her voice suddenly panicked. If she was to fight Ava, she would have an upper hand, her bulging bump and she couldn’t fight Ava, especially not with a child, the baby might get harmed.
“I’ve been playing the victim all these while, while you do the slapping all the time. Don’t you think it’s nice to get a pay back?”
Ava got up and went to a door, which seemed to be locked, she opened it, and her gaze went back to Olivia. “I’ll put you in here, let’s see how long you’ll last.”
A cold room!
“Ava no! I’m with a child!”
“To hell with you both, like I care.”
She forcefully pulled Olivia’s arm, dragging her to the room. Olivia struggled, trying to get away from her, but she seemed helpless, no matter how hard she tried.
Does being pregnant really make a woman vulnerable??
“Ava please, don’t do this! My child, it’s innocent.”
Ava played dumb to her all pleadings, her mind already made up as she dragged her into the room. “Ava nooo!!”
Bam! The door was closed and Ava quickly locked the room.
“Enjoy your stay Ollie!!”
