With The Maids

Adams’ POV
“She will be fine,” the pack doctor said after observing her for a while.
He mixed a greenish substance with a white powder and passed it into her mouth with the help of a spoon.
“This should reduce the effects of the shock. What happened to her though, my king?”
“She fell and hit her head while we were together. I couldn’t get to her in time.”
I couldn’t bear to tell him what happened yet. Since rumors were already going about the castle that I was a woman hitter, keeping it in the mansion was the best thing for now.
He nodded and bowed, his head almost grazing the floor. “I’ll take my leave now, my King.”
I nodded as he walked out of the room, his huge leather bag trailing behind him. It was new and very expensive. Only extremely rich werewolves used that type of bag, and it got me curious. Just how much money was he making from the pack’s hospital? Was he hoarding the money for himself? Wasn’t he supposed to remit it into the pack’s trust fund?
I felt Ted growl inside me, picturing the doctor as a new target. Only when I stopped thinking about him did he become calm.
“Ronan,”
“My king.” He leaned off the wall, a few steps away from the bed Lilith slept on and strode towards me. He had been extremely quiet and kept to himself since what happened earlier.
“Keep an eye on the doctor. I don’t trust him.”
“Yes my king,” he replied, his voice lower than the gentle rolling of waves, his eyes fixed on Lilith’s motionless figure.
I could tell from a quick glance of his face that he still blamed himself for all that happened. “You should stop worrying about her, you didn’t do anything.”
He didn’t reply, rather he stared.
“Before you start on the doctor, I need to make an example of two maids who wouldn’t mind their business. Others would learn from them.”
He looked away from Lilith on the bed and stared at me. “Name them.” His voice was low yet dangerous, it housed a hint of rage beneath it.
“Lydia and Aria, the kitchen maids. Bring them to me. I’ll be in the underground room.
“As you will, my king,” he replied, waking towards the door.
“Ronan,” I called him and he halted. “You don’t have to be so formal with me.”
He nodded and went out, closing the door gently behind him.
I moved closer to the bed and kissed Lilith lightly on the lips. She turned and faced the other side of the bed, snoring softly.
Her breathing had become stable, and her skin was no longer as white as snow. I looked at her sleeping body and Ted danced inside me, fueling my body with dangerous desires.
I sprang away from the bed as soon as possible, to avoid stories that touch the heart. I was willing to wait till she was ready and not break her trust.
Ted craved her so badly, he was on the verge of coming out. I ran out of the room and shut the door, destroying the lock in the process of locking it.
I moved to the underground room and waited in the darkness for Ronan and the maids. I had hardly waited for two minutes when the door burst open and two chubby girls fell to the floor before me.
Their presence disgusted me, so much so, I couldn’t even stare at them. Ronan stood above them, his lips curved into a scary frown.
“There they are, my King, as you requested.”
They scrambled to their knees quickly, rubbing their palms together, mumbling inaudible words.
I stood up and walked towards them, anger boiling within me. Ted floated above the surface, waiting for the right time to come out.
“Do you know why you are here?” I asked them.
“N…no, my king, we don’t,” they stammered.
The reply annoyed me so much, I didn’t realize I sent a jaw-shifting slap their way. They fell at the same time and tried to stand up but fell again.
“I’ll ask you one more time. Do you know why you are here?”
They trembled and stared at each other before nodding again. Tears streamed out of their eyes like water from a waterfall.
“We know, my king.”
“Good.”
“How dare you call me a woman hitter before my subjects? I asked, facing Lydia. She was dark and had a huge pimple on the side of her nose.
Her eyes were red, and her cheek had swollen due to the slap I landed on her cheek.
Aria trembled on the spot before I got to her.
“And you,” I said, pointing to her. “I guess I am so evil. How about I show you what evil looks like?”
I looked at Ronan and told him to leave the room, closing the door behind him, leaving it unlocked.
“No, my king, no… no… no,” they screamed, knowing that they were in trouble.
What made me violent all of a sudden remained a mystery to me. Was it because of my wolf’s feral nature?
I closed my eyes and switched places with Ted, letting him take over. My bones twisted and made cracking noises as Ted fully came out to play. He sat back on the chair, watching the girls shake in fear.
“I didn’t mean to say those words, she made me say them,” Aria pleaded, putting the blame on Lydia.
Although scared to death for her life, Lydia was furious. “Why would you say something like that? Did I force the words into your mouth?”
“Silence!” Ted growled, tired of watching them argue. He stood up and walked towards them, his claws extended outwards.
The girls trembled and cried, peeing their bodies in the process as urine ran down their legs, wetting the floor.
He grabbed Lydia by the neck and raised her up, in between his claws. “The next time you speak out for fun, I’ll make sure to cut out your tongue,” he threatened.
“Y… yes my king,” she pleaded, chocking under his grip.
He tightened his grip on her neck and I began to fear. “Ted, you should stop now… please,” I pleaded, but he was now attracted to the scent of her blood which came out of a little bruise caused by his claws.
“Ted!” I screamed and she fell from his hands. I sighed, relieved. Only when I felt a certain wetness on his palm did I look down to check on the maid.
Did he injure her badly? Was she fine? My face met hers. But it wasn’t on the floor with her body, it was in my hands, blood dripping from beneath it.
