Alexander’s POV
“Where is Chase hiding?.” I asked as I leaned back into my seat.
The room was darker and quiet except for Tyler who was quietly sobbing and the wind whistling outside. The atmosphere was very tense as the brothers shared looks.
I sighed and relaxed in my seat as I picked up my drink again. “It seems the rules were not fully embedded in your heads.” I said as I poured my drink on Tyler’s bleeding hand causing him to cry out in agony.
“Please Stop!.” Tim screamed as he looked at his brother in pity. “We didn’t know who the question was directed to that’s why we didn’t respond.” He cried.
“Oppsies” I chuckled. “Forgive me.” I said as i curtsied. “So tell me where Chase is hiding”. I looked between both of them and flashed a smile at Tim. “Tim!”.
The brothers looked between each other before Tim began speaking. “We don’t know for sure, but it is likely that he’s not ‘hiding’ any where per se. He could probably be at his father’s house for all we know”. He said.
“A point for Tim!.” I celebrated and the boys joined in. “But why do you give him up so easily, were you not partners?”. I ask as I rubbed my chin.
“Partners”. He scoffed. “We couldn’t be partners with that moron. He was merely a means to an end.” He said smugly.
Phew!, At least I wasn’t the only one that sees Chase as a big moron.
What a relief!.
“So your business is finished with him I assume?.” I inquired, leaning closer.
He hesitated for a second before saying quietly. “No.”
“Hmm”. I twirled my drink in my hand. “You have unfinished business with a man, yet you give up his location so quickly. I find that strange”.
“It’s either you’re both stupid or you’re lying.” Mitch added.
“We’re not stupid.” Tim blurted out and glared at Mitch. “We’re not certain of his precise location and we already said that, but regardless of wherever he may be or whether we be with him or not, it is certain that our business will be completed.”
“I believe you Tim.” I said with a sinister chuckle. “But what I need to know is what unfinished business you have with Chase, how is he a means to an end and how does chase being free benefit you.”
The room was entirely silent now. Only the heavy breaths from the brothers and the low grunts emu-rating from Tyler could be heard.
“I believe you understand that this question is directed to you.” I cocked my brows at Tim.
“Speak up!.” Mitch grabbed his jaw and forced his mouth open.
He simply struggled and maintained silence.
“Tyler”. I picked up my knife and turned to the younger one who was still in pain. “Why don’t you advice your brother to speak up, to save him from such terror.” I said as I tapped his finger with my tap.
He screamed out in response and the brothers shared a look but still they maintained silence.
“I will not ask again Tim.” I said coldly.
“Fuck you!.” He screamed out and spat on my face.
“Very well then.” I sighed and wiped my face with a towel. “Hold his head!”. I said to Mitch who nodded in response and grabbed his head.
“Pablo which of these do you think would do?.” I gestured to the knives on the table as I raised an brow at Pablo.
He dropped his glass on the table and strolled to my corner. “Hmm, let’s see”. He rubbed his hands on his chin then picked up a knife and touched the edges. “I have an Idea!.” He blurted out with a glint in his eyes.
“I’m all ears Pablo.” I chuckled and relaxed into my seat.
“Why don’t you use the same knife that you used on his brother so we can experiment.” He said and clapped his hands like he was certain we would discover something great.
“Experiment?.” I cocked a brow at him and Mitch just sighed and rolled his eyes as he continued holding Tim’s head tightly.
“Yes. We could compare the color or thickness of their bloods on the knife.” He put his hands on his waist with a sick smile on his face. The man was even more crazy than I thought.
“You know we don’t necessarily have to use the same knife to do that ‘experiment’, because we could just draw blood from both of them and compare.” I explained.
“You can’t blame an idiot for thinking that way.” Mitch laughed and mocked Pablo.
“Oh shut up.” He hissed before turning back to me. “Well we could also check to see whose skin is thicker and easier to cut through by experimenting with the same knife.”
“You’re aware I’m not giving them the same treatment.” I said as I tilted my head.
“Yes, well you could just do the same thing now. We have all night.” Pablo giggled.
“Oh fuck you both.” Mitch cursed and released Tim’s head.
“Why’d you let him go?.” Pablo inquired.
“Maybe you should try holding onto a head as strong as his, while I argue in the corner about what knife we should use.” He scoffed and stretched his hands. “Nobody cares about the knife, not even the young man”.
“Do you care about the knife?!.” He turned to Tim and asked. “Yeah, I do. I can’t wait to see which knife would be cutting through my skin.” He replied sarcastically.
“You see!” Mitch said with a wave of his hands.
“The knife has to be the perfect one else the art wouldn’t be exceptional.” Pablo said, ignoring Mitch.
“Yes, Pablo has a point.” I said to Mitch. He just sighed and got comfortable on a seat as he chunked a glass of drink. “Very well then.” He sighed again.
“So will you use the knife?.” Pablo asked as he picked it up again.
“The knife in question is too blunt to carry out the purpose!.” Mitch said as he poured himself another glass.
“Now that’s the fun!”. I sprang up with a twisted grin. “We’re using the knife. But you did not necessarily have to bring up all those points.” I said to Pablo with a chuckle.
“Now hold him.” I waved the knife at Pablo.
“Gladly.” He broke into a sinister chuckle as he strolled towards Tim. “Behave.” He whispered to Tim, earning a grunt from Tim. Pablo grabbed his head and held on to it tightly as Tim tried to struggle free.
“What business do you have with Chase and how does it concern my family.” I asked in a low tone as I stood above him. “Will you speak now or should I make you?”.
“Go to hell!.” He blurted out.
“As you wish but you shall join me.” I said with a smile as I gave a nod to Pablo.
He held him tightly and Tim began screaming for mercy as I drew nearer to him with the knife. I put the knife inside his mouth, allowing him to taste his brother’s blood while I dragged the knife from the edge of his lips, cutting his cheek, giving him a wider smile.
His screams of terror and his brother’s screams of pity in contrast to the excited laughter coming from my men filled the halls.
The knife was so blunt that it took a while to cut off the edge. I became bored of it so I stopped and Pablo released him but the look of agony and terror in his eyes was satisfying, making it all worthwhile.
“You’re sick people!”. Tyler spat out as he stared at us in horror.
“Oh come on, don’t take it to heart. It’s just a game.” I laughed and grabbed his jaw, forcing the knife into his mouth so he could taste his brother.
I walked back to my seat and dropped the knife on the table, Tim’s screaming had increased to wails, his whole body was shaking and pools of tears filled his eyes.
I looked away from him and picked up my phone to find that it was almost 3Am. I sighed as i unlocked my phone to check the footage of our room again. I watched my wife sleeping peacefully and a small smile crept on my face as it seemed that she was finally at peace and nothing troubled her.
Suddenly she began tossing and turning with a frown etched on her face. It seemed she was struggling to get someone off her. I guess I knew well what she was dreaming of.
That sick bastard!.
The news of Chase’s escape had began hunting her even in her dreams and I couldn’t do anything to help her. My heart broke as I watched her suffer until she bolted up with wide eyes.
“You love her that much.” Tyler said with a smirk.
“What did you say?”. I sprang up and towered over him with a cold glare. I was in no mood to play games anymore after what I had just witnessed.
“I can see it in your eyes.” He said as he tilted his head to meet my eyes. “But I wonder if you cared just as much for our cousin!.” His nose flared as he looked at me with disgust.
“Your cousin?”. I asked as my brows furrowed in confusion.
“Yes, I wonder if you ever truly loved Daisy.”
