Medusa smiled and said, “Don’t be surprised, I have always loved Amerosia’s culture since I was a child, so I’ve been learning the language.”
“Oh, I see!” Lightning exclaimed in realization. “Princess Medusa, I’ve booked a room for you at the best hotel on the East Coast, the East Coast Grand Hotel. You can go there to rest now.”
Medusa shook her head. “No need. I’m here to visit a friend.”
“Alright then,” Lightning nodded. “Princess Medusa, I’ll be responsible for your safety.”
Soon, Medusa and her entourage boarded a bulletproof car. Dozens of police cars escorted them from the airport. To ensure Medusa’s safety, Lightning personally accompanied her. He was also very curious about who Medusa’s friend could be. A princess of Oxwoods coming all this way must mean her friend is someone significant.
After about half an hour, Medusa’s convoy arrived at Cloud Mountains. Lightning’s expression changed upon seeing this because he knew that the King of the East Coast resided in Cloud Bay within Cloud Mountains. Could Medusa’s friend be the King of the East Coast? It seemed likely; who else on the East Coast could be friends with an Oxwoods princess?
Soon, Medusa’s vehicles stopped at the entrance of Cloud Bay. As they got out of the car, Lightning was convinced that Medusa was here to see the King of the East Coast.
Meanwhile, inside the villa, Esther and others heard the commotion outside.
“Harold Jefferson, what’s happening outside?” Esther asked curiously.
Harold Jefferson, now the head of security for Cloud Bay, replied, “Mrs. Shelby, many people have arrived outside, including officers from the East Coast Police Department.”
“The East Coast Police Department?” Esther was puzzled. They had never had much interaction with them and didn’t know why they were here. Regardless, since they had come, they couldn’t be turned away.
“Harold, go open the door!” Esther instructed.
“Yes!” Harold Jefferson nodded and went to open the door.
“Esther!” A figure ran inside as soon as the door opened.
Esther looked over and was shocked. “Princess Medusa, what brings you here?”
Medusa was the daughter of the Queen of Oxwoods and heir to the throne. Esther never expected her to come to the East Coast.
“Esther, who is this foreign girl?” Juliette asked curiously upon seeing Medusa.
“Juliette, this is Princess Medusa of Oxwoods,” Esther introduced. “Medusa, this is Princess Juliette of Amerosia!”
Medusa and Juliette exchanged glances, both surprised that they were both princesses.
“Hello!” After a brief moment of surprise, they shook hands.
Medusa clung to Esther’s arm and asked playfully, “Esther, where is Mr. Shelby?”
Esther turned to Juliette and said, “Juliette, go call Chris Shelby down.”
Juliette blushed and replied, “Esther, he’s taking a bath right now.”
Hearing this, Esther felt a bit awkward. She then introduced Marie and Ava to Medusa. Soon enough, everyone became acquainted and started chatting in the living room.
Curious, Esther asked Medusa, “Princess Medusa, why did you suddenly come to the East Coast?”
“My mother is visiting Amerosia,” Medusa explained. “I begged her to bring me along. And Esther, please don’t call me princess; just call me Medusa. By the way, is Mr. Shelby still not done with his bath? I came specifically to see him.”
Esther felt a twinge of jealousy upon hearing this. She hadn’t expected Chris Shelby to have such charm-first attracting an Amerosia princess and now an Oxwoods princess too. Fortunately for her peace of mind, Medusa was still young.
A moment later, Chris Shelby came downstairs after his bath. Seeing Medusa surprised him as well. “Medusa, what brings you here?”
“Mr. Shelby! I came specifically to see you!” Medusa exclaimed happily.
She was still a young girl who held fond memories of Chris Shelby saving her in Oxwoods-a unique experience for a princess raised in royalty. Since Chris Shelby left Oxwoods, she had missed him dearly and persuaded her mother to bring her along on this trip.
Esther smiled and suggested, “To welcome Medusa properly, how about we go out for dinner tonight?”
“Great idea!” Juliette and others responded enthusiastically.
Soon enough, they all went out for dinner together. Although Esther initially planned to dine at the East Coast Grand Hotel, Chris Shelby vetoed it in favor of eating at a famous street food stall on the East Coast-something he found more enjoyable than dining at a hotel.
While Chris Shelby and his group were eating and drinking at the stall, a group of local thugs sat nearby. Seeing Chris Shelby surrounded by beautiful women-Esther, Juliette, Marie, Medusa, Ava-all stunning beauties made these thugs envious.
Bang! Suddenly there was a loud noise as one thug smashed a beer bottle on the ground and stood up angrily shouting at Chris Shelby: “Damn it! We don’t even have one girlfriend while you have five or six beauties around you! How is that fair?”
Chris Shelby couldn’t be bothered to respond; he didn’t take these thugs seriously at all. As for Esther and others who had seen much bigger scenes before-they didn’t react either since Chris Shelby hadn’t spoken up.
Seeing themselves ignored infuriated the thugs even more-they were somewhat notorious in this area and weren’t used to being disregarded.
“Kiddo! You’re pretty arrogant!” one thug shouted as they approached Chris Shelby menacingly with beer bottles in hand.
Chris Shelby glanced at Harold Jefferson and said calmly: “Harold, take care of these trash.”
