CHAPTER 70
I LOVE YOU
Vincent could already see the disappoinment on Hall’s face as he said that, though he knew he was wrong for not letting him know about what had happened at Jessica’s place.
“Yes she had told me about being pregnant with my child but I do not believe her lies,” Vincent explained he had never believed that Jessica was pregnant.
“Lies? I do not think so, she already has a sonogram done and she is sure the child is yours. ” Hall explained but Vincent knew what Jessica was capable of.
“Jessica is not carrying my child, I am sure of that!” Vincent declared angrily, he was sure he didn’t do anything with Jessica that night but he did not have any proof and to make matters worse he could not remember anything that had happened either.
“I really do not understand what you are saying anymore, if Jessica is not carrying your child then why would she go to the media to announce being pregnant with your child?” Hall asked immediately.
He could see from Vincent expression that he was sure about what he had said but he still could not understand why Jessica would lie about such a thing.
“Jessica is just trying to get back at me that’s all,” Vincent explained, but Hall was bot convinced about his explanation.
“If you already knew she was pregnant, why didn’t let me know about it?” Hall questioned curiously, he wanted to know why Vincent had kept it away from him.
“I didn’t think it was serious, I can always get a DNA done.” Vincent noted, “How can you be this nonchalant about Jessica when you know how dangerous she can be, this is going to cause a major problem and you know it.”Hall explained.
But Vincent had not plan for any of this to happen, he had only wanted to talk things out with Jessica and was drugged. “I do not know if I had sex with Jessica!” Vincent finally let out, his frustration reaching the peak.
“How come you are so unsure about this?” Hall asked his voice filled with concern, he had never seen Vincent in so much distraught before.
“I had gone to see Jessica after Isabella just move into my house, she had threatened to show herself to isabella and I didn’t want that happening.” Vincent said as he started to narrate all that transpired at Jessica’s place.
“I woke up naked after the drink and could not remember anything that had happened the night before and that was months ago,” Vincent continued.
“I wished you had told me this sooner,” Hall said as he looked at Vincent with both concern and disappoinment he knew Vincent was just a victim of Jessica’s game at the moment.
But he was still not happy that Vincent had hidden it way from him “I think she drugged you,” Hall noted, he knew. things would not have been this bad if Vincent had told him about this earlier.
“Oh my God! Now i knowhow she had gotten a video of us that night, I knew I had not taken any string drink to just know me off on a single shot! ” Vincent asserted.
“What a video?” Hall questioned immediately he knew that did not sound good.
“Yes Jessica had told that she had recorded a video of us having sex and I am sure she would not hesitate to release the video now that she can do this,” Vincent noted.
“This is worse than I thought, what are going to do about it?” Hall asked as he waited for his reply, but Vincent just shook his head in confusion.
“I know this is overwhelming and confusing but you need to act fast because of your career and Isabella,” Hall noted, he knew Isabella would eventually see the news and was sure she would not be happy about it.
“Oh my God, Isabella!”Vincent exclaimed immediately as he got up from his seat abruptly, it had just clicked to him that Isabella might have seen the news and may want to leave.
“I need to leave!” Vincent asserted as he took his car keys was about to head out when Hall quickly stopped him, “Where are you running off to?” He questioned he knew Vincent was going to meet Isabella but he needed him to be calm.
“I need to explain things out with Isabella,” Vincent noted immediately, “But you can do that later, we need to think about the way ut of this first!” Hall asserted, he knew Jessica was a hard competitor and they need to act fast.
“That can wait!” Vincent confirmed as he stormed out of his office and immediately headed home, he didn’t want Isabella to leave him again and would do anything to make her stay with him.
As he rushed into the house he saw Isabella in the company of Audrey and from the looks on their faces when they saw him it was obvious that Isabella must have seen the news.
“Isabella please can we talk,” Vincent quickly said as he tried to get Isabella’s attention but Audrey immediately stepped in, “I guess you must have seen the news and now you have come running back to Isabella, how more despicable can you be!” Audrey asserted with an angry tone.
She had always known that Vincent was up to no good she had thought that he had changed but she was wrong about him.
“I know you are angry right now but the news is not entirely true,” Vincent said has he tried to explain but Audrey had bo time for his lies, “You just could not wait for Isabella to give birth before going on with your love life!” Audrey blotted out angrily.
“Please Audrey just this once, I need to talk to Isabella alone,” Vincent pleaded, he understood why she was mad at him but all he cared about at that moment was how Isabella was feeling.
“No Vincent, I can not leave my friend with a scumbag like you, all you is pretend and tell lies!” Audrey Asserted as she tried to protect Isabella from Vincent, she knew Isabella would be too soft on Vincent and was prepared to protect her all the way.
“It’s fine Audrey, you do not need to raise your voice or worry about me, we all know our relationship is just temporary and he doesn’t owe me an explanation concerning his love life,” Isabella noted.
Though it hurt her to admit she had always known she wasn’t fit for Vincent, after all he was the most sought after bachelor in the country and would have access to more beautiful and outstanding ladies.
“Isabella please let me explain, what Jessica said is not true and our marriage is not temporary i only did that to make you get married to me.” But Vincent explained but Audrey quickly interrupted.
“You are just so pathetic, you think we would believe someone as popular as Jessica would lie about being pregnant in the media when she knows about the consequence,” Audrey noted as she scoffed at Vincent explanation.
“And moreover, she had proof that she was pregnant and we all know you guys had been in a relationship.” Audrey confirmed.
“We were never in a relationship, you have to believe me,” Vincent noted as he turned to isabella, he needed her to trust him and not what her best friend was saying.
“It’s fine, you do not owe me any explanation, I am only with you because I am carrying your child and after a few months out contract will be over.” Isabella confirmed.
But Vincent do not want that, he had never really wanted to have a contract marriage with Isabella, he had only done that because he knew Isabella would have not agree to keep the child without being married to him.
And he did not want to loose her or the child, he had always felt a strange bond with Isabella since their first night and even though he could not explain it then, he had always been curious about it.
“Isabella, I do owe you an explanation and an apology.” Vincent noted as he walked closer to isabella,”I know you don’t believe me but I do not have any relationship with Jessica or any other lady.” Vincent confirmed.
“But how do you explain Jessica being pregnant with your child!” Isabella asserted angrily, “She is only trying to come in between us because I choose you and not her!” Vincent acknowledged but Isabella just shook her head in disbelief.
“What do you mean?”Isabella questioned immediately as she waited for Vincent’s reply. “Isabella you are my wife and I am. not letting you go, you are all I want please believe me.” Vincent pleaded as he held onto her hands.
“I love you Isabella!” Vincent said as he stared straight into her eyes.
