CHAPTER 67
BACKLASH
“This can not happen to me, never!” Jessica shouted as she hung up the call with her secretary, she called her to reveal the lastest news that was trending on entertainments that morning and it sure was not good for Jessica.
Not after all she had done to make sure, she got the position of the lead role of that particular movie only for a mere upcoming wanna be actress like Isabella to be given the role.
She had actually gone herself to bluefins entertainment company after her secretary had written to them severally but had not received any reply from them and had met up with Ralph just because she wanted to be the female lead if the movie.
But Ralph had told he that his boss had strictly requested that a top actress from another city was what he wanted and because Jessica didn’t know who the owner was she had given up on it only to find out that that same role was given to no other but her mist hated rival.
She was sure the news had something to do with Vincent because bluefins entertainment was always strict with their selections and would never had made someone as low as Isabella a lead actress.
Especially when they had the opportunity of handing her the lead role instead and this made even more angry to know that Vincent was willing to go all way for that good for nothing Isabella.
Bluefins entertainment company as everyone knows had a very thick wall and all their decision are usually made by their boss whom no one knows his real identify and Jessica was sure that Vincent must had used his influence with the owner to get Isabella the role.
She sat there in her room thinking about the next action to take but it was almost impossible to take the role from Isabella because she still didn’t know the boss.
“I certainly will not let this slide!” Jessica asserted as picked up her phone to take a call, it was from her friend whom she had earlier boasted about getting a lead role with bluefins and she knew why she was calling.
“Hey Jess,” her friend Emilia greeted in a friendly tone, she was sure from Jessica’s silence that she must have heard the news and already knew why she was calling.
“Hi, Emilia,” Jessica replied her tone slightly friendly as she tried to hide her frustration, “You won’t believe what I just saw on entertainment news,” her friend Emilia announced angrily.
Though she knew Jessica was always so boastful about herself, she also knew that she was talented and they both had mutual understanding and had been close friends for a long time.
And when she saw the news, she thought it wise to inform Jessica about it especially because she did not like Isabella because she believed she was the one who was forcing her way into Vincent’s life.
“Yes I did and I’m so pissed!” Jessica confirmed her voice filled with pain and hurt, she could not believe that she had actually lost her place to someone as low as Isabella.
And if she was being honest, she was not just pissed about this whole thing but has been deeply angry since the first day she knew about Isabella’s existence.
She had never had to compete with anyone over anything and the fact that her competitor was nothing to measure up with was actually most annoying part of it.
Because she still could not fathom why Vincent would choose someone like Isabella over her and now that he had drawn the battle line she was going to make sure he regrets ever looking at Isabella.
“Yeah, you are right because i was also pissed to see that the role was given to that low class girl instead and we both know that she doesn’t deserve anything good not after all she has done!” Emilia noted.
But all this just made Jessica more furious, she had done everything possible to make sure Vincent gets back with her but it seems that there is something about Isabella that she just could not quite understand.
Because all through the whole time she had forced herself into Vincent life he had never made any exemption for her not even once and now all he does was make so many exemptions for Isabella.
“But what are you going to do about it? ” Emilia questioned breaking off Jessica’s thought, she knew her friend was not a weakling and would not let a lowlife like Isabella push her down.
“I do not know for now Emilia, though I know I deserve the lead role more than her, I do not think there is anything else that I can do about it now especially after she had been announced publicly for the role,”Jessica replied.
“So are you saying, you are just going to sit and watch some little girl take over what is yours?” Emilia asked Jessica blatantly. “Hell no!” Jessica asserted angrily as she instantly began to think about her next move.
“Now, that’s the Jess I know.” Emilia confirmed happily, she was sure her friend would never allow some like Isabella go unpunished not after attempting to steal her man and now her career.
“I am sure she going to regret ever touching what belongs to you after you are done with her!” Emilia confirmed with a hard laugh as she could not wait to see what Jessica was going to do to Isabella.
“Yes you are right, I am going to make sure she trembles whenever she hears my name!” Jessica asserted as she joined Emilia to her hard laughter.
Immediately she hung up the call, Jessica swung into action as she called one of her men and ordered him to carry out her next action, she was going to make sure Vincent regrets his action for helping Isabella.
“I want that published in all the entertainment media and blog’s now!” She ordered as she hung up the call, she was going to announce her being pregnant with Vincent’s child all over the media.
She had even sent a fake sonogram along side with a sultry photos of her and Vincent together, she was very sure that with the circulation of the news around the country she would definitely have the attention of Vincent back into her life.
