Chapter 590: Maximo Rules Over Niarak!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-10-8

The leaders of the six branches of the Eight Extremities School were once subordinates of Maximo.
Upon receiving news of Maximo’s troubles in Niarak, they quickly assembled there.
To show his gratitude, Maximo welcomed them from thirty miles out, traveling from the north to the south of the city.
Seeing this spectacle, the citizens did not want to cross paths with the Eight Extremities School and hurried home early, locking their doors and only daring to observe the street conditions through their windows.
By 11:00 PM, the streets of Niarak were completely empty.
The usual hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds were no more, leaving the city resembling a “ghost town.”
In the south of the city, Maximo met with the leader of the East Sea branch. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, they and their entourage started moving north.
Over seven hundred people, silent and dressed in black, followed closely behind Maximo. Their presence was powerful and menacing, like beasts ready to hunt, creating an overwhelming sense of pressure.
As Maximo passed each major intersection, a Grandmaster accompanied by five to six hundred Inner Strength experts would emerge, each radiating formidable energy.
They would nod in unison with Maximo and fall in line behind him.
More and more people joined behind Maximo.
They gathered in dense numbers, too many to see the end at a glance.
Crowds appeared from all directions, converging on Maximo like a flood, eventually forming a long procession behind him.
A total of over five thousand people gathered, swarming like locusts, darkening the sky!
Crucially, each was an Inner Strength expert, and seven were Grandmasters leading the formation.
Their unified black attire merged with the darkness of the night, while Maximo stood out in a deep red suit, exuding immense pressure.
This group was like a steel torrent, unstoppable by anything in the world.
From apartment buildings, people watched the long, orderly procession on the streets below, utterly silent, not daring to breathe.
A single Grandmaster could turn the tide of an entire region, and seeing even one was rare for the common folk, yet now seven Grandmasters had appeared!
With a hundred Semi-Grandmasters among them!
Should they choose to wreak havoc, all of Niarak would not withstand it.
How could this not instill fear?
Finally, Maximo crossed the entire city district and reached Cloudgate Mountain in the northern part of the urban area.
Atop the mountain sat the Niarak branch hall of the Eight Extremities School.
From the Loyalty Hall, one could overlook the entire Niarak district.
Now, the place was teeming with people.
Crowds stretched from the base to the summit of the mountain, standing like majestic black tigers, their authority unchallengeable.
Maximo sat boldly in the hall, his face flushed with excitement.
He had not expected that in just four hours, he would gather over six thousand people-twice as many as he had anticipated!
And each one was a skilled and valiant fighter, able at least to take on ten others!
These were no mere street thugs.
Maximo was certain that given a day, he could increase their number to ten thousand!
Such was his power!
In Niarak, he was king!
“Today’s battle will make Mr. Goff’s name resonate from north to south, and no one in Niarak will dare meet your gaze again! Mr. Goff, mighty indeed!”
Braiden, watching the impressive army, was deeply moved.
As the direct heir of the Swanson family, having taken over most of the family business, he had seen countless grand scenes over ten years. Yet, he had never witnessed such a gathering of five or six thousand warriors.
At that moment, Maximo was like an emperor, seated in the hall as if with a mere wave of his hand, he could obliterate everything, his authority indomitable.
How could this not command his profound respect?
In an era where power ruled, people were everything.
Maximo had achieved this.
In just four hours, he had gathered thousands. Who else in Niarak could claim such a feat?
Flynn was undoubtedly doomed!
With Maximo’s support, the tri-alliance was unstoppable! The Sharp’s Group could only submit to their will.
Braiden’s eyes gleamed with confidence!
What of a loss of billions in market value?
So what if Rose temporarily won a few matches?
The things I’ve lost will come back to me sooner or later. No one can take them away!
“Yes! I did this to let the whole of Niarak know how terrifying I am!”
“Letting a small fry like Flynn know the miserable fate of offending me!”
“Challenging me to a duel? How dare he!”
“He really thinks I’m a nobody who can be provoked at will? My connections are still intact, and my brothers are still with me!”
Maximo roared furiously.
“We are willing to serve Mr. Goff loyally! Mr. Goff is mighty! The Eight Extremities School is mighty!”
On Cloudgate Mountain, the voices of six thousand experts thundered like thunder, echoing through the dark night sky.
“Where’s that kid Flynn? He hasn’t run away, has he?” Maximo turned and asked his top general, Caspian.
Standing in the hall, Caspian bowed his head and said, “He is on his way here.”
Everyone was surprised.
Maximo also smiled, squinting his eyes: “He really dares to come.”
“It seems this kid has some guts.”
“If he wasn’t on the opposing side, I’d actually consider recruiting him.”
“He could have been my right-hand man, perhaps even a vice captain. What a pity.”
Flynn left Rose’s villa and walked directly towards Cloudgate Mountain.
On the deserted streets, he was alone.
Dressed casually, he moved through the blocks like a ghost.
“What’s that kid doing? Why is he still coming out? Isn’t he afraid that the Eight Extremities School will harm the innocent?”
“His target seems to be Cloudgate Mountain! I heard a young man named Flynn is challenging Mr. Goff. Could this be him?”
“Yes! I’ve seen him with Rose before. Over six thousand people are waiting for him. He’s walking into his death!”
People stood on their balconies watching Flynn, calm and composed, and were overwhelmed with shock and awe.
In their view, unless celestial beings descended from the heavens, there was no chance for Flynn to return alive!
They had just seen thousands of Inner Strength experts moving uniformly behind Maximo, shaking the buildings as they advanced.
In such a situation, no one in Niarak could contend with Maximo.
Especially not a mere son-in-law from the small Kaur family.
However, what the public did not know was that the oppressive force within Flynn was gradually being released.
By the time he reached the northern suburbs of Niarak, every living creature he passed started to disintegrate into a mist of blood.
When he reached the open area north of the city, only a few hundred meters from the foot of Cloudgate Mountain, visions of Scarlet and Rose injured appeared in Flynn’s eyes.
Scarlet was crying in fear, and Rose was severely injured and unconscious, her breath weak.
Flynn paused, his gaze turned icy as he looked at the brightly lit mountain crowded with black-clad figures like leeches.
Then, suddenly, a thunderous explosion sounded, filling the sky as if divine thunder had descended!
It was as if hundreds of bombers were roaring overhead, deeply shaking everyone’s hearts!
Around Flynn, a tremendous force overflowed, creating a fierce storm!
This terrifying force gathered together, forming an extreme tornado that shot up to the heavens, seemingly uprooting everything within ten miles!
At that moment, sand and stones flew, big trees swayed, and wild grass fluttered about, the area resembling the apocalypse!
“What’s going on? What happened at the foot of the mountain?”
At the branch hall, several leaders who were chatting happily suddenly stood up.
The entire Cloudgate Mountain shook, and even the water in the cups nearby rippled.
Just as everyone was shocked, a voice like the hammer of Thor crashed through the dark night sky:
“Maximo! Today, I, Flynn, will kill you. I ask who dares to stop me!”
Flynn walked slowly forward, each step seemingly gentle, but with each one, the heavens shattered and the galaxy overturned…
