“Also, since The Scholar has lived for over a thousand years, why didn’t the people from Enchant Realm look for him earlier? Why now?” Billy continued to ask.
“The exact reason is unclear to me, but I suspect it has something to do with the current situation in the sixth-tier star domain,” The Shadow Judge paused before continuing.
“What situation?” Billy pressed.
“Enchant Realm and the other three top-tier forces recently predicted that this star domain might face a great catastrophe, so they are preparing in advance,” The Shadow Judge responded.
“What catastrophe?” Azure Dragon asked.
“I don’t know; perhaps only those four forces are aware,” The Shadow Judge shook his head.
“Aren’t you supposed to know everything about this sixth-tier star domain? Are you hiding something from us?” Stout interjected.
The Shadow Judge’s mouth twitched slightly, “I really don’t know!”
“What does this have to do with The Scholar? Why are the people from Enchant Realm looking for him now?” Casey asked again.
He could tell from the other’s expression and eyes that he truly didn’t know.
“Since you are here to find The Scholar, you should know who he is, right?” The Shadow Judge countered.
“We only know he was from Blade and Sword Sect back in the day, nothing more,” Casey shook his head. “Tell us what you know.”
“I don’t know much either; he is…” The Shadow Judge shook his head slightly.
“Have you already told the people from Enchant Realm about The Scholar’s whereabouts?” Billy interrupted him.
“Worried that you might leak The Scholar’s location to others, they want to eliminate you?” Billy continued.
“You are half right. They indeed want to kill me to keep me silent about The Scholar’s whereabouts,” The Shadow Judge nodded and added.
“But I only have a rough idea of his location.”
“What do you mean?” Billy asked.
“I only know he might be in Crimson Cloud City,” The Shadow Judge responded. “But I’m only sixty to seventy percent sure, and I don’t know his exact location within Crimson Cloud City.”
“Have you already told the people from Enchant Realm about this?” Billy frowned slightly.
“Yes,” The Shadow Judge nodded.
“Is Crimson Cloud City far from Radiant City? Is there a teleportation channel?” Billy continued to ask.
“There is no teleportation channel,” The Shadow Judge shook his head. “It’s not very far from Radiant City; it takes about half a day by a sixth-tier starship.”
“Take us to Crimson Cloud City immediately!” Billy said in a deep voice.
“To Crimson Cloud City?” The Shadow Judge was stunned for a moment.
“Sir, if you are planning to find The Scholar, I think you should reconsider carefully,” he continued.
“Enchant Realm is determined to find him this time. With your cultivation level, if you encounter them, I’m afraid…”
“Don’t waste time, let’s go!” Billy interrupted him.
“Sir…” The Shadow Judge tried to speak again.
“Enough talk, let’s move!” Casey said in a deep voice.
“Alright then,” The Shadow Judge didn’t insist further.
Although he was extremely reluctant, he knew he had no choice unless he didn’t want to live anymore.
Half an hour later, under the guidance of The Shadow Judge, the group boarded a starship heading to Crimson Cloud City.
“What exactly is this catastrophe you mentioned earlier?” On the starship, Casey looked at The Shadow Judge and asked. “Why are the people from Enchant Realm looking for The Scholar now?”
“I really don’t know the specifics,” The Shadow Judge shook his head. “I can only speculate based on some information I’ve gathered.”
“Let’s hear it,” Billy said.
“I don’t know what the catastrophe is exactly,” The Shadow Judge began. “The people from Enchant Realm are likely searching for The Scholar now because they recently learned of its existence.”
“And according to my speculation, the Domain Lord’s Mansion from a thousand years ago might know how to avert it or prevent it from happening.”
“The Domain Lord’s Mansion from a thousand years ago?” Azure Dragon asked. “What does that have to do with The Scholar? Wasn’t he from Blade and Sword Sect?”
“The Scholar was a renowned figure throughout the sixth-tier star domain back then,” The Shadow Judge responded.
“He had a legendary relationship with the Lady of Heaven from the Domain Lord’s Mansion, so the people from Enchant Realm speculate that he might know how to avert the catastrophe.”
“The Lady of Heaven from the Domain Lord’s Mansion?” Azure Dragon was slightly taken aback. “A thousand years ago, was the domain lord of this star domain a woman?”
“You didn’t know?” The Shadow Judge asked in return.
“Boss, could it be her?” Azure Dragon turned to look at Billy.
Everyone knew who he meant by ‘her,’ referring to the woman they encountered in that other world.
“Most likely,” Billy nodded.
In fact, he had suspected this ever since he learned about Radiant City’s history from Maisy Cooper a few days ago.
At that time, he thought that woman was very likely the domain lord of Radiant Star Domain from a thousand years ago.
“What was The Scholar’s position in Blade and Sword Sect?” White Tiger looked at The Shadow Judge. “Was he the Sect Master?”
“No,” The Shadow Judge shook his head and added. “But his status in Blade and Sword Sect was no less than that of their Sect Master.”
“According to ancient books, The Scholar was considered the most talented martial artist in Blade and Sword Sect’s history. He was also the best candidate for Sect Master back then.”
“But he was solely focused on martial arts and had no interest in managing the sect, so he gave up the position to his junior brother.”
“What kind of legend did he have with the Lady of Heaven?” Stout asked. “Were they lovers?”
“There were indeed such rumors, but no one knows if they were true,” The Shadow Judge responded. “But one thing is certain: their relationship was definitely not ordinary.”
“You might as well have said nothing!” Stout smacked his lips.
“I have a question!” Felicia asked.
“If The Scholar was such a martial arts genius, wouldn’t his strength be terrifying after a thousand years? Aren’t the people from Enchant Realm afraid of going to their deaths?”
“No,” The Shadow Judge shook his head.
“Why not?” Felicia pressed.
“There are two reasons,” The Shadow Judge responded.
“First, a thousand years ago, there was internal strife in the Domain Lord’s Mansion. The conflict spread from there to Radiant City and even affected the entire sixth-tier star domain.”
“The Lady of Heaven perished in that war. Although The Scholar survived, he was severely injured, affecting his fundamental strength and greatly reducing his martial arts prowess with little chance for improvement.”
“Second, even if he hadn’t been injured a thousand years ago, his cultivation couldn’t have improved indefinitely!”
“Because of the law of heaven and earth?” Casey asked.
“Yes,” The Shadow Judge nodded. “The martial arts ceiling in a mid-tier star domain is half-step Supreme Ancestry Realm!”
“Half-step Supreme Ancestry Realm?” Judge was stunned.
“Wasn’t it said that there were genuine Supreme Ancestry Realm experts in the Domain Lord’s Mansion back then?”
