“Mr. Kimmons, what’s wrong?” Judge asked.
“There’s a smell of blood in the manor!” Casey responded.
“Let’s go in and take a look. Everyone, be careful!” Billy also sensed the strong murderous aura emanating from the manor.
In the next moment, everyone flew to the sky above the manor.
Before they could see the situation in the courtyard below, a medium-sized spatial cage descended upon them, with barriers formed by condensed Chi power on all sides.
Billy frowned slightly, gripping his wild blade and slashing out a beam of blade light.
With a loud explosion, the spatial cage shattered instantly and disappeared.
“Hmm?!”
A surprised voice came from within the manor.
“Wait here, White Feather, keep an eye on everyone!” Billy said before quickly descending into the courtyard.
Upon reaching the ground, he scanned the surroundings. Everywhere he looked, there were severed limbs and rivers of blood; not a single person was left alive among the hundreds.
As he was about to walk towards one of the buildings, the space around him twisted, and a strong force tried to confine him in place.
Suddenly, a long spear pierced through the air at lightning speed, tearing open a dark crack in the void.
“Get lost!” Billy frowned slightly and slashed out with his blade again.
The blade light crushed the spear instantly, then collided heavily with the opponent’s defensive aura.
The man spewed a mouthful of blood and was sent flying hundreds of meters away, crashing to the ground with no strength left to fight.
The man was only at the eighth-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm. The fact that he survived was clearly because Billy had shown mercy.
“How… how is this possible?!” The man lay on the ground, his face filled with disbelief.
“You dare court death!” Just as Billy was about to approach the man, an elderly voice rang out.
As soon as the voice fell, three powerful waves of energy surged forward, causing the void to churn violently.
Judging from their aura, none of them were weak. The strongest was at the second-rank Entering Ancestry Realm, while the other two were at the first-rank Entering Ancestry Realm.
“Fools!” Billy replied coldly to their attack.
Without hesitation, he gripped his blade and executed the Phantom Blade Technique, tearing through the void.
The blade light ripped through their attack, slicing through both the second-rank Entering Ancestry Realm expert and one of the first-rank Entering Ancestry Realm experts, leaving their bodies split in two on the ground.
With Billy’s current strength, executing a Heavenly Fury Slash to kill a second-rank Entering Ancestry Realm expert was no longer a difficult task.
“Hmm?!” Seeing his two companions’ corpses, the remaining first-rank Entering Ancestry Realm expert’s pupils shrank to pinpoints.
He had already assessed Billy’s cultivation level and found it to be only mid-level Breaking Emptiness Realm. Yet Billy had killed his two companions with a single slash-terrifying indeed.
“Retreat!”
Without further thought, the man shouted and quickly fled backward.
As his voice fell, seven or eight figures emerged from different directions in the courtyard and followed him.
“Boss, should we chase them?” Casey and others descended from mid-air.
“No need!” Billy shook his head. “Search around and see if there are any survivors!”
“Got it!” The group nodded and quickly dispersed to search the area.
About three to five minutes later, Casey’s voice came from one of the buildings: “Boss, there’s a survivor here!”
Soon after, he dragged a severely injured man to the plaza and threw him on the ground.
“Spare… spare me…” The man knelt before Billy. “Please… don’t kill me…”
“Who were those people?” Billy interrupted him.
“I… I don’t know who they were…” The man struggled to speak. “About fifteen minutes ago, they suddenly broke into the manor. They started killing without saying a word…”
“What about The Shadow Judge? Isn’t he here?” Casey asked.
“The Sect Master… he wasn’t their match either…” The man pointed to a collapsed building on the left. “The Sect Master is under there; he’s probably dead by now…”
“I’ll check it out!” Azure Dragon said and quickly walked over.
“They didn’t say anything at all?” Billy continued questioning the man.
“At first, they said nothing and started killing as soon as they entered!” The man replied. “But after the Sect Master came out, it seemed like they were forcing him to reveal something. I was too far away to hear clearly…”
“Have you heard of someone called The Scholar?” Casey asked.
“The Scholar?” The man shook his head. “Never heard of him!”
“Boss, this old guy seems to be still alive!” Azure Dragon shouted at that moment.
“Let me see!” Hearing Azure Dragon’s words, Billy walked over quickly.
When he arrived, he saw an emaciated old man lying in a pile of rubble. His waist and right leg were pierced by wooden fragments, and blood was flowing everywhere. Additionally, there was a bowl-sized blood hole in his left shoulder blade, and blood was gushing from his mouth. He was unconscious and extremely weak, with one foot already in the grave.
“Boss, should we save him?” Stout asked.
“I’ll do it!” Billy said as he took out several silver needles and inserted them into various acupoints on The Shadow Judge’s body.
After a while, once all nine needles were in place, The Shadow Judge’s bleeding stopped. Billy then placed his hand on The Shadow Judge’s chest and channeled Chi power into him.
About half an hour later, The Shadow Judge coughed up a clot of blood and slowly regained consciousness.
“Who… who are you?” After adjusting to the light slightly, The Shadow Judge looked at Billy and asked.
“Take this pill; it will help with your injuries,” Billy said without answering his question and handed him a healing pill.
“Th-thank you…” The Shadow Judge took the pill and swallowed it in one gulp.
After another quarter of an hour or so, aside from still being somewhat weak, he had mostly recovered.
“Thank you for saving my life!” The Shadow Judge stood up and bowed deeply to Billy.
“Do you know who attacked you?” Billy asked.
“People from Enchant Realm!” The Shadow Judge replied.
“Enchant Realm?” Billy was puzzled. “Why?”
“They were looking for someone!” The Shadow Judge responded. “I don’t know where they heard that I might know something about this person’s whereabouts in the entire sixth-tier star domain.”
“Who are they looking for?” Azure Dragon asked.
“A man who has lived for a thousand years!” The Shadow Judge said.
“A thousand years?” Azure Dragon’s mouth twitched slightly. “You don’t mean they’re looking for someone called The Scholar, do you?”
“Hmm?!” Hearing Azure Dragon’s words, The Shadow Judge was stunned. “How do you know about The Scholar? Are you also here for him?”
“Really?” Azure Dragon’s mouth twitched again. What a coincidence!
“Why are people from Enchant Realm looking for The Scholar?” Billy frowned slightly and asked.
