Zeke’s face turned cold as he waved his sleeve. “Hmph, that’s just your WONDER using numbers to overpower us. If you have the guts, let’s settle this once and for all today.”
“That’s exactly what I intend,” Maximilian retorted without backing down.
Enraged, Zeke launched a full-force attack on his opponent.
At that moment, the Bloodhawk Brothers spoke up. “Master, calm down. Leave these three to us.”
Zeke’s eyes gleamed with cunning. Always shrewd, he wanted to test WONDER’s true strength. “Fine, but be careful.”
“Rest assured,” said one of the twins, stepping forward with an arrogant expression. “I am Blackwing Clay Parker. Which one of you from WONDER will face me?”
“I will,” Knox stepped up, seething with anger.
“Be careful,” Maximilian and Leo cautioned him before stepping aside.
They had the same idea-to gauge the Bloodhawk Brothers’ strength through Knox.
Clay looked at Knox with disdain. “Very well, let me see if WONDER’s reputation is just hot air.”
Furious, Knox shouted, “Arrogant fool, let’s see what you’re made of.”
With a roar, he charged like lightning, launching two electrifying punches.
“Good!” Clay’s face lit up with battle fervor. He let out a strange cry, spreading his palms to unleash two blazing flames as he rushed forward.
In an instant, the two figures clashed, fists meeting with sparks and flames flying. Nearby trees splintered and burned, the battlefield filled with a fierce aura.
Maximilian was taken aback. Clay could match Knox blow for blow-he was not to be underestimated.
On the battlefield, Knox’s heart burned with rage.
Damn it, he thought. I couldn’t take down Charlotte earlier; now I can’t lose to this scum!
If I do, how can I face WONDER?
With renewed determination, Knox’s fists crackled with electricity. “Thunderstrike!” He unleashed his signature move at close range towards Clay.
Clay reacted swiftly, sensing danger. He let out a strange cry and brought his fists together, forming a thick wall of flames in front of him.
Boom!
The massive electric arc struck the fire wall, sending sparks and flames skyward.
Nearby trees were not spared; they shattered and ignited instantly.
Simultaneously, both Knox and Clay groaned and retreated, blood trickling from their mouths.
As they glared at each other, ready for the next round, the forest was engulfed in thick smoke and raging flames, turning the scene into a hellish inferno.
Maximilian let out a sharp cry, his body emitting a strong aura that shielded him from the heat waves.
Leo clasped his hands together, channeling Spiritual Power to form a protective barrier around himself.
Zeke waved his hand, sending out a sharp blood-red light that easily repelled the nearby flames and smoke. He stood firm and relaxed.
Even the other Bloodhawk Brother used a strange black mist to shield himself.
The ones suffering most were Knox and Clay.
Caught in the battle, they couldn’t afford to protect themselves.
Soon, both were dizzy from the heat, drenched in sweat, barely able to stand.
Finally, as if by mutual agreement, they roared and charged at each other again.
Electricity crackled like silver snakes dancing wildly; flames roared like a fiery symphony as they collided once more.
Boom!
In the valley, their punches thundered like rolling storms. Flames ignited everything flammable; electric arcs blasted everything in their path.
Smoke filled the sky; flames reached the clouds-a scene of apocalyptic terror.
Knox’s sheer willpower kept him going. At least he had to outlast his enemy.
Undoubtedly, Clay had the same thought-to drag his enemy down with him if necessary.
Thus, both nearly exhausted fighters attacked with tiger-like ferocity.
At this point, it was not about who was stronger but who could endure longer.
“Mr. Ramsey, if this continues, Knox will perish along with the enemy,” Leo warned.
“Separate them!” Maximilian decided immediately.
“I’ll do it,” Leo said firmly, punching the ground hard.
On the battlefield, the charred earth suddenly surged up, flinging Knox and Clay into the air mid-fight.
Maximilian quickly leaped up, tapping Knox’s neck to knock him out before catching him mid-air and bringing him down safely.
Seeing this, Zeke wasn’t foolish either. He quickly replicated the move to retrieve Clay.
It seemed this round ended in a draw, with both sides losing a key fighter.
Maximilian frowned and shouted loudly, “Zeke, let’s call this round off for now. Let’s put out this fire together and then continue our fight.”
“Fine,” Zeke snorted coldly. He raised his right hand, sending a red light into the sky. Rain began pouring down immediately, cooling the fiery forest.
Maximilian looked at Leo; he wasn’t skilled in this area.
Leo smiled slightly. Summoning rain was a minor task for him.
He cast a Talisman into the air. With a clap of thunder, dense raindrops began to fall.
The summoned rain covered only a small area-not like natural rainfall that could sweep across miles.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t be humans but gods.
Gradually, under their combined efforts, the raging forest fire was brought under control and eventually extinguished.
After about ten minutes, peace returned to the forest, now scarred and devoid of greenery, with wisps of smoke rising everywhere.
With the fire out, the other Bloodhawk Brother strode forward.
His eyes were dark and fierce as he shouted menacingly, “I am Whitewing Clayton Parker. Who dares to fight me?”
Maximilian was about to step forward when Leo stopped him. “Let me.”
Maximilian solemnly patted Leo’s shoulder. “Alright, be careful.”
Leo smiled confidently and stepped forward boldly to face Clayton. “I’ll take you on!”
Clayton’s eyes flashed with venomous coldness. “Very well then; leave your life here!”
With that, Clayton brought his hands together strangely, summoning a cloud of black mist.
The black mist was eerie and terrifying, reeking of stench and darker than night itself. It surged towards Leo like a venomous dragon with claws bared.
Wherever the black mist passed, vegetation withered into deathly silence-a truly horrifying sight.
It was poison miasma!
Leo remained unfazed. He formed hand seals and cast a talismanic seal into the air.
From nowhere rose a Firedrake, roaring like thunder with waves of heat as it charged at the poisonous black mist dragon.
