Chapter 2299: Professor Fritz Heads Straight for Bubu

Book:Mr. Marsh's Twins Published:2024-10-8

At the same time, he was worried about his little cat. Was it adapting well to the new owner? Did it miss him? Was it cold or hungry? Did the new owner not have a job? How could they have time to take care of it?
Thinking about Bubu made him anxious. Lately, it seemed like even drinking water could get stuck in his teeth; he was just unlucky. His grandmother was still trying to set him up on blind dates, and Professor Fritz was really frustrated! The company was already being managed by his father, and he couldn’t return to the lab for now. Tom found himself with too much free time, often sitting by the pool with a deep frown, staring at the shimmering water.
Until his phone rang, snapping him back to reality. He quickly answered-
“Mr. Fritz, I’ve found out everything you wanted to know,” reported the man on the other end. “The girl’s name is Agnes. Your little cat is currently with her. She recently received several packages of cat supplies. I have her detailed information.”
“I don’t need her detailed information; I just need her address,” Tom Fritz said in a deep voice, feeling a bit impatient.
He had raised that little cat for so long; he didn’t want it to develop any problems under someone else’s care! Bubu had a sensitive stomach.
“Oh, alright.” The other person provided a detailed address and added, “I’ll send you the location on your phone.”
“Okay.” Tom Fritz hung up the phone.
Soon, his phone beeped with a notification. He quickly got up and walked towards a parked car nearby. After getting in, he set the navigation to that neighborhood.
All the way there, Professor Fritz couldn’t suppress his longing for his little cat. All his pent-up emotions seemed to surge forth at once. Finally, he had found Bubu’s whereabouts-he couldn’t count on Spencer for this.
Agnes got off work early today. Her work attitude was excellent, so she was very efficient. She walked into her apartment building, humming a tune while waiting for the elevator doors to open, looking quite pleased.
She had sent her recent sketches to Mr. Marsh’s email. Mr. Marsh had taken some time today to call her. Though his words were few, each one acknowledged her talent and insight.
Receiving such recognition from her boss made her very happy. The show was about to air, and the comic would soon be released… riding the wave of wedding publicity was a win-win situation.
The elevator reached the tenth floor, and she stepped out eagerly into her apartment. Dropping her bag, she headed straight for Bubu’s living area.
“Bubu!” The young woman was excited. “Are you asleep? Where’s my little princess Bubu?”
As Agnes approached, she saw Bubu in its space capsule bed and hurried over, kneeling down to scoop the little one into her arms.
“Meow~”
“Sweetie, what’s wrong today? Feeling weak? You haven’t climbed your ladder!” She had checked the surveillance several times and was quite worried.
But holding it and examining closely, it didn’t seem sick.
“Meow~”
“Here, have a little fish snack.” Agnes wanted to test its appetite.
The little cat responded well; whatever the new owner fed it, it ate happily, occasionally meowing and snuggling into her arms.
It didn’t seem sick at all; Agnes felt relieved and put it down. Bubu started bouncing around her with its short legs again, looking adorable.
“Bubu, how about we go for a walk?” Agnes sat on the floor and clapped her hands before extending them towards the kitten.
The little one leaped up as if understanding her words and jumped into her arms. “Meow~” It nuzzled its head into her chest as if it couldn’t wait.
“Let’s go!” Agnes stood up with Bubu in her arms and happily walked outside. “Let’s get some fresh air; you’ve been cooped up all day. Now that you’re familiar with your new environment, it’s time to make some new friends.”
