Chapter 2295: Asking for the Cat Again

That day, Tom Fritz called Spencer again. “Who did you give my kitten to? Is it still with you?” he asked right away about the kitten.
“Oh my, at least ask how I’m doing first. I’ve been shooting three scenes in a row,” Spencer replied directly. “It doesn’t matter who I gave it to, the point is it’s been given away, and the new owner is taking good care of it. Just relax! It’s just a cat, why are you so fixated on it?”
Tom Fritz hung up the phone in anger and walked straight towards the guy by the villa’s swimming pool!
Yes, he came!
“Hello? Hello?” Spencer glanced at his phone, puzzled. Just as he was about to put away his phone, he inadvertently saw a man walking towards him.
For a moment, Spencer was stunned as Tom Fritz approached him.
Spencer snapped back to reality, “You…”
“I told you, this kitten is very important to me,” Tom Fritz said seriously. “You don’t keep pets; you don’t understand the bond between humans and animals.”
“But I really gave it away; it’s not here,” Spencer explained repeatedly. “Maybe… you could get another one and build a bond?”
“Are you crazy?” Tom Fritz felt like slapping him! He felt like it was impossible to communicate with him but still patiently said, “This kitten has a weak stomach and is very frail. Most people can’t take proper care of it.”
Spencer hadn’t realized he was so persistent.
It seemed he wouldn’t stop until he had some closure; he would keep asking about the kitten’s whereabouts.
So, while searching for Agnes’s number, Spencer said to Tom, “I’ll call the new owner and ask about the kitten. You probably won’t believe it until you hear it yourself.”
Soon after, his sister answered, “Hello, Spencer.”
“Bubu, what are you up to? Are you busy?” He deliberately put her on speakerphone.
Hearing this nickname, Tom Fritz paused and stared at his phone. Bubu?
Then a sweet voice came through, “I’m at the office. What’s up?”
“How’s the little kitty? Is it doing well?” Spencer asked as he looked at Tom Fritz. “Is it easy to take care of?”
The girl happily responded, “It’s quite easy to take care of! Last night I painted a picture of my sister in a wedding dress; it was beautiful. ‘Bubu’ stayed on the desk with me for three hours like a sensible child, not causing any trouble and occasionally meowing at me.” Her voice was tinged with laughter.
“It hasn’t gotten sick? Is it eating well?” Spencer asked further.
“Not at all; it’s very healthy!” she said joyfully. “Thank you for your gift; I really like it and will take good care of it!”
“Alright then, nothing else. You go back to your work,” Spencer told his sister. “I was just checking in. Bye.” After that, he hung up.
He hurried before Tom Fritz could react and directly ask her for the cat over the phone; that would be awkward.
“See, Mr. Fritz? Your worries were unnecessary!” Spencer said with a smile. “Your kitten is very happy with its new owner!”
“…” Tom Fritz was speechless.
“Come on now, it’s just a cat,” Spencer patted his shoulder comfortingly. “Just get another one since this one has already been given away. There’s no reason to ask for it back, especially since the young lady likes it so much. Would you have the heart to take it from her?”
