Elisa withdrew her gaze and was more than happy to share the situation there with him-
“The power of love is indeed great. Summer and Spencer have been cooperating better than before, nailing all their scenes in one take, much to the director’s surprise, who said they both have a talent for acting.”
The power of love is indeed great, and when Andrew heard this, a pleasing curve formed at the corners of his lips.
Remembering that he had finished work late last night, he had even gone out to buy fruits, and got up early today just to make homemade preserves for the girl he liked.
“That’s really nice,” Andrew politely responded before entering the elevator.
Inside the elevator, Elisa shared another piece of good news with him-
“Also, the series is currently in process, seeing if it can be shot while airing. Summer and Spencer are preparing for their wedding. Combining these two popular elements could generate a significant buzz.”
“They’re engaged already? Planning the wedding so soon?” Andrew was surprised.
“Yes, they proposed and even distributed wedding candies to everyone on the set, openly showing their affection. All the treats he bought for Summer were shared with everyone; the wedding preparations are underway. It’s said to be a traditional and grand ceremony.”
Andrew couldn’t help but remark, “When this man gets sensible, it really happens in minutes, doesn’t it? We can consider our mission accomplished, right?”
“Definitely! It’s all about meeting the right person,” Elisa envied such a relationship. After circling around for ten years, they still hadn’t missed each other.
In this age full of regrets, this was something many envied.
The legal department was below the comics department, so Elisa left first and even waved goodbye to Andrew.
Seeing him this morning made her day.
Before heading back to the CEO’s office, Andrew went to the floor where the comics department was located, carrying the preserves towards Agnes’s private office.
He was also in a good mood.
Agnes was holding some draft papers, ready to go next door to discuss with colleagues when she bumped into Andrew at the door.
They almost ran into each other fully.
“Good morning,” Andrew greeted her happily, his eyes brimming with smiles.
“Good morning,” Agnes steadied herself, still a bit stunned.
He lifted the bag in his hand slightly, “Preserves. I made them this morning. Want to try?”
“…” Agnes felt embarrassed, “That’s so much trouble… You shouldn’t always make preserves for me.”
“I like them myself too, so I just made extra.” He feared she would refuse, so he fibbed lightly, “Take it. I’m not always this diligent; you’re just lucky.”
He feared his enthusiasm might scare her away.
Agnes really liked eating preserves and reached out to take them, “Thank you for thinking of me when making preserves.”
“You’re welcome.” Andrew didn’t want to disturb her further or create an awkward moment. “I’ll go now. Bye-” Then he turned and left.
When facing someone we like, we always tread carefully-too far, we fear losing them; too close, we fear scaring them away.
Agnes didn’t think much of it; she just saw him as a friend and didn’t know he had made them especially for her-he hadn’t kept any for himself.
Agnes turned around and placed the pink bag on her desk before taking her draft papers to the next office.
About an hour later, Elisa came up.
As she passed by Agnes’s office door unintentionally glancing inside, her eyes caught sight of that pink bag…
