It wasn’t until Ansel had completely finished speaking that Andrew put down his coffee cup, his gaze warmly meeting the eyes of the young man sitting across from him. He had fully discerned Ansel’s inner thoughts. Indeed, to Andrew, who had been in the workforce for many years, Ansel was almost like a student. Agnes had just graduated, and so had Ansel. Andrew liked Agnes, so he selfishly said,
“My relationship with Bubu is very stable, thank you for your concern. I’ll try to connect with her on a soul level. Although I work at the company, I also graduated from an art school and have a good understanding of painting,” Andrew boasted between the lines, “so you’re worrying too much.”
“…” This was beyond Ansel’s expectations!
Then, Andrew added, “By the way, I’m planning to propose to her. You might want to calm down a bit. If you weren’t so hostile towards me, we might even send you an invitation to witness our wedding.”
Upon hearing this, Ansel felt like his lungs were about to explode with anger! He was extremely anxious!
Thus, the spirited young man suddenly stood up, emotionally exclaiming, “I won’t bless your union!” and then firmly stated word by word, “I will make her happy!!”
After saying this, Ansel turned and left!
Watching the boy storm off, Andrew’s smile faded and his eyes gradually deepened in thought as he recalled the scene where he stood in front of Agnes holding roses.
Around noon.
In the Cat Life Pavilion, a girl with her hair up and wearing an apron looked neat and fresh as she added different types of cat food to the kittens’ bowls.
When she reached an empty cage, she began to worry again. Bubu had been adopted… What would happen if her boss found out?
This was the boss’s favorite cat; it had always been kept close by him until recently when Bubu suddenly got diarrhea and was sent here for careful treatment after seeing a doctor.
This was a sign of trust from her boss; he even gave her a raise for it. But now…
And after the boss finished his busy period, he planned to take Bubu back home… What would she do if it was discovered she was gone? Truth can’t be hidden forever.
It was Spencer who took Bubu away. If it had been any ordinary customer, she might have been able to get it back by making a phone call to apologize or offering some money.
But Spencer left no contact details, so the girl was particularly worried since she didn’t even have a chance to negotiate.
Just then, a Volvo pulled up outside the pavilion.
Tom Fritz sat in the driver’s seat; at 35 years old, his handsome profile and deep black eyes radiated intelligence.
He glanced at the pavilion’s main door.
The car door opened, and his long legs stepped out. Dressed in a white shirt paired with a gray vest, his tall and slender figure exuded an air of gentle nobility.
Casually closing the car door behind him, he walked towards the pavilion with an exceptional demeanor.
Inside, the girl inadvertently turned and saw through the glass door the face of the man about to enter; her eyes widened in panic.
Oh my God!! The boss is here!!
As Tom Fritz entered, the girl quickly put down her plate and walked towards him. “Hello Mr. Fritz!” she greeted loudly before bending her knees and kneeling directly in front of him!
Tom Fritz looked down puzzledly, “What are you doing?”
“I’m sorry…” The girl bowed her head low not daring to look up; her voice trembled just like her body. “Bubu… Bubu…”
“What happened to Bubu?!” Tom Fritz’s heart clenched as he quickly looked towards the cage direction-empty!!
A bad feeling spread throughout him…
His gaze sharpened suddenly as he looked down at the kneeling girl and demanded, “Did you let it die?!”
