Cry all you want

Book:Alpha's hostage Published:2024-9-23

Nebraska hugged her great wolf as he made her moan. With constant movements that could be stronger but the broad back was tense holding back. Even though he had told her that he could not contain himself, he measured his strength so as not to harm her. His thick arm encircled her waist, taking care not to hurt her wound and keeping her position on the edge of the table while the other rubbed her thigh up to her buttocks, leaving her fingers fixed on the white skin.
His scent enveloped her, his mouth devoured her, his hands marked her. She could only give herself to him. Feeling wanted, loved, protected.
Hades left his mouth to direct her to the neck, licking it eagerly. His teeth scratched the skin and Nebraska shivered. The omega threw her head back when she felt her body rise to the top next to her husband. She dropped her head on the male shoulder trying to catch the air as the knot grew and adjusted inside her. It didn’t hurt at all, it was different from before, it felt pleasant, perfect. This time the wave of orgasms attacked her but more weakly, constantly moaning as she hugged Hades.
The alpha stroked his head with his eyes tightly closed. He thanked everything that could be prayed to him for having returned to his wolf, his omega, his wife, his queen. He brushed the tousled hair from her temple and kissed her.
-Was it too brusque?- He whispered against her skin.
She shook her head still hiding against his shoulder. He clenched his arms, tighter around him before the wolf could hear a sob coming from her throat.
-Nebraska?- Hades tried to pull her away to see what was happening but her grip was firm -Nebraska, darling what’s wrong?- But her sob only increased.
Her body was shaking violently, and the pain in her chest spread to all of Hades’s senses and he could feel the agony of everything that had happened.
-Quiet, love- put a hand on the nape of her neck and touched the mark, wrapping her with his scent trying to calm her -I’m here, no one will do anything to you again. Cry all you want, unburden yourself, I’ll be here-
Hades held her against him. Taking with him all of her, her pain, her worries, her pain, her anguish; always holding her, caring for her, comforting her.

Siran walked into his alpha’s office an hour later to find him reclining on the couch with one arm behind his head. His queen slept soundly on top of him with only her bottom clothes on. The beta made a sign to leave but Hades opened his eyes and motioned for him to enter.
Siran sat staring at the back of his queen and the wound that lay there. He frowned before lowering his head.
-Alfa, I apologize-
– For doubting her? –
-Hmm- the beta nodded embarrassed -And for not protecting her when you were poisoned, it was my mistake, I deserve to be punished-
-Are our children okay? – Hades asked looking up at the ceiling, having his wolf’s chest on him, with a constant breath and hearing her heartbeat, made him feel calm in the middle of the chaos.
Siran was surprised by the change in topic of conversation.
-They are safe, my alpha, Sara has taken care of them until now-
-That’s fine, you don’t have to worry about anything else, but there won’t be a next time- he looked at him out of the corner of his eye- I trust you with my life Siran, so I don’t want to lose you by my side, if you understand me-
The younger wolf rose and bowed, his closed eyes wavering.
-Thank you my alpha, I promise not to fail you again- he got up -Alfa, I also have other news. The other alphas of the Council arrive shortly. Layan sent for them and gave an emergency howl-
-Got it, let’s wait for everyone to arrive, prepare in the room-
-Yes- the beta nodded turning around to find Caesar entering.
-You damned- his face was plunged into a grimace- They only give me problems, they don’t take care of each other. They are always full of wounds, please, think about me a bit- he approached where Hades was -But this is worse than I imagined- his face shifted to one of astonishment to lean examining the wound more closely and looking alarmed at his first and second in command.
-Is it that bad?- Hades’s heart pounded against his chest.
-So bad as to tell you that with all the medicine I may have I cannot help her at all, the mark will remain permanently on the skin, also, what the hell did that wound do- he ran his finger along the edge receiving a low moan from the wolf – Apparently it hurts a lot-
Caesar wandered off to find something in his suitcase and hand it over to Hades.
-Make sure to smear it at least three times a day, I don’t know how much effective the effect will be but it will help with the pain temporarily- Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going back, alpha but I can’t do anything more for the queen even though we owe her a lot-
-Don’t worry Caesar- Hades sighed passing his hand through Nebraska’s hair- I’m sure you did your best-
The alpha watched him go and sighed deeply. Troubled times were coming. He only hoped he was strong enough to protect his pack and his family.

Sara couldn’t hold them back anymore. In that room, Noa, Alan, Nicolas , and even Rodrigo himself seemed to want to jump up to get him out of the way. As soon as they had detected their mother’s scent they had gone mad. They wanted to see her, to know what had happened. To know why there was a hole in the chest of all of them, as if an important member of the family had left their sides.
Although they had been explained of the situation, they could not, they did not want to believe it. They needed to see their mother. Eventually the door opened and Siran stood in front of them. The four calmed down and stood still looking at the beta who did not speak. He ran to the side and cleared the way for them to go straight to their destination.
Noa ran faster than all of them. They turned the corner and found her there, along with her current foster father. They stopped. Nicolas grabbed his younger brother’s arm and put him behind him. Rodrigo was also in front. Alan wanted to protest but stayed by Noa’s side.
Nebraska turned when she smelled them and turned slowly. Her face did not show the chaos attacking her body, but Hades laid a hand on her shoulder. He was able to feel it and would do anything to help her but this was something she had to resolve on her own.
The four wolves stopped in front of their mother. Unexpectedly Nebraska smiled in relief and her eyes softened.
-I’m glad they are well- he took a step towards Rodrigo and raised a hand directly to his cheek but stopped it a few inches from the skin to remove it. She remembered the look her children had given her and from the way they acted she was sure they were still afraid of her.
But before her hand returned to the side of her body it was held by her eldest son.
-Ma- he called her that way for the first time -Are you okay? –
Nebraska opened her eyes savoring the voice of her son calling her mother. He smiled again.
-Yes, puppy, I’m fine-
-Ma- Noa came out from behind Nicolas with her head lowered and stood next to her brother -Ma, do you hate us? – He left her speechless.
-Ma, we have not been good -Alan copied his brother -That’s why all this happened. Is it true about Catalina? –
Nebraska was the one that lowered its head this time.
-Her bones now rest in peace, I’m sorry, I couldn’t protect her- her voice trailed off looking totally destroyed.
A hand was placed on her head and she was pushed against someone’s chest. The scent of her son Nicolas covered her nostrils.
-It’s not your fault Ma, it’s not your fault-
