I’m yours

Book:Alpha's hostage Published:2024-9-23

A silence colder than the cold wind blowing in from behind the newcomers invaded the room. All faces had turned and were staring at the arrival of their queen and it was not precisely because it was her, but because of the company at her side. If Layan, one of the most influential wolves of all, if not the most, was with her it was for a reason.
Hades stared at them. His chest throbbed knowing that his queen was back and alive. When he woke up and did not see her and there was only uncertainty around him, his head had become a mess.
-What do you mean by Liam?- He finally spoke. His tone was neutral, cold, not at all condescending, this did not bother Nebraska.
-What I said alpha- he raised his eyes with confidence -Liam was the one who planned everything-
-Wasn’t it Rudoc?- Leoxi appeared next to his brother, his brow furrowed painfully.
-Rudoc is dead- she answered, an exclamation was made collective but it was overshadowed by Layan’s growl that began to get annoyed by the questions -Liam was the one who killed him-
-Its intention is to take control of the iron herd, for that they killed their alpha- Layan continued, if he supported her there was no one who could revoke his words.
-So who poisoned the alpha? – One of the wolves stepped forward knowing that he was putting his life in danger -Maybe it was you my queen -there was contempt in his voice- It would be very easy and convenient to assassinate our alpha and take over our pack, that’s why she freed Rudoc and Catalina who was locked up and now he wants to blame Liam, she thinks we’re stupid-
A murmur grew louder in the room, even a few growls. Nebraska didn’t flinch and held up a hand stopping Layan who had intentions of pouncing on him.
-You’re right, it would be very convenient,- she said disinterestedly.
-Nebraska,- Layan warned, impressed by her response but her gaze made him shut up, she wasn’t so weak as to be intimidated.
-But tell me, how would that benefit me, going back to Rudoc? That wolf is not worth the sole of my shoe, anyway- he pressed his lips together before saying the next words -He devoured Catalina in front of my eyes- nobody spoke -Do you know the pain of a puppy being killed in front of you and neither You cannot even move to save him- his teeth were clenched as she remembered the helplessness, but she used all her willpower to calm herself – Eating the meat of your children, although it is taboo for us gives the wolves a new perception of power. Liam planned this and devoured his heart from Rudoc absorbing his power-
-Is that possible?- Leoxi was stunned by what she was saying.
-Liam is a recessive omega-
They all looked at each other confused and that reaction she expected.
-Alpha- this time she addressed her husband- As you know recessive omegas feed on alphas, he is extremely strange even for me who am also omega. He destroyed the dynasty of my father and my uncle and planned everything that happened in the pack, as well as pulled his strings so that you were poisoned and I seemed to be the culprit-
Hades said nothing, he analyzed the situation carefully.
-That’s a lie- someone else said accusing her- You have no proof, if it wasn t for Layan’s beta our alpha would have died-
-It is true that my beta was the one who sent the antidote but it was she who got it- silence was present. No matter how distrustful they were of him, no one would dare challenge him.
Nebraska sighed, she had no choice. She turned around and pulled her blouse over her head covering her chest but exposing her back, specifically, the horrible large tooth scar that refused to fade. A moan came from the mouth of some and Hades had to squeeze their hands and hold himself in place so as not to go out to where she was. How much had she been hurt so that a wound like that wasn’t healing? And more with the skill of the wolf that was next to him, which he looked at and he responded with a movement of the head.
-This is the mark that it was left after facing Liam after he ate Rudoc’s heart. I received it while I was picking up the antidote and what was left of my daughter- she focused on everyone over her shoulder- It hurts, burns, possibly won’t close, but still I asked Layan’s beta, who discovered me almost dying, to bring the antidote to our alpha and my son. Layan can corroborate the state in which he found me- she turned, putting her blouse back in its place and hiding the pain it caused her -But if you still don’t believe me, you can come and kill me, I will not put an obstacle-
But nobody moved. They were still shocked by the wound on his body, something neither of them would wish for. Feelings of shame began to flourish among the pack until Hades’ voice echoed.
-And she’s not lying, I would know it from the mark on her neck, after all, we have a bond- once the alpha spoke everyone felt calmer. Hades would not let anyone, not even his queen, attempt on the life of the pack, if he said that she was not lying it was because she wasn t.
The pack turned to Nebraska and made a collective bow in apology, and although the omega was sure there were still doubts between them and that this was mere formality, she felt a little more relaxed. She lowered her head when someone took her hand. A small puppy smiled at her despite his eyes and little nose being red.
-The queen is here, the queen is here, will she play with me again? –
Nebraska tilted her head slightly and ruffled her hair.
-Sure whenever you want-
Hades walked towards her as he gave the order for everyone to return to their tasks and the corpse of the wolf was collected. With the arrival of Nebraska they had to organize the new facts to know how to react. Caesar came up behind him; he wanted to see the wound up close even though his verdict would not be satisfactory.
-Nebraska- the alpha’s voice was cold -I want to talk to you alone, come with me to the office, then you can see your children-
-I think there are issues to resolve before Hades- Layan went to take a step in front of the omega.
-It’ll be quick,- Nebraska interrupted and followed her husband despite being somewhat tired and soaked to the bone.
Seeing Hades back in front of her made her feel comforted, happy. He was alive, so it meant his son was too. She smiled slightly relieved. She had done it on time. Hades let her into the office without saying a word to her all the way, but as the door closed an arm wrapped around her waist and her husband’s lips fell on hers with hunger so raw that Nebraska was surprised.
He held her tight against him, devoured her, bit her lip, claimed her tongue with his, did not leave her a second of respite as if she were going to disappear from his side. Nebraska stepped back unconsciously and her back touched the wood of the door bringing a groan into Hades’s mouth and she had to slap his shoulders.
The alpha broke away in alarm and pulled her back to him, laying his forehead against hers, panting.
-Excuse me, I was very abrupt -he took a breath -I thought i really lost you, when I saw you walk through the door by myself … I know this is not the time, but I need you Nebraska, I really need you-
The omega understood his words and felt the magnitude of the wolf anguish. She hugged his neck with her arms and pushed herself around his waist with her legs seeking her lips again. Hades grabbed her buttocks and pressed her against the erection that had long formed and led her to his desk sitting her on the edge.
-I won’t be able to be gentle this time- he confessed against her lips- But I promise you that later I will take all the time in the world to make you reach the sky-
Nebraska hugged him confidently and smiled against his neck.
-Don’t feel bad my wolf, after all- she kissed his lips feeling blessed to have him by her side- I’m yours-
