Chapter 260: Visiting The CEO

Natalie’s expression darkened as she focused intently on Bianca, trying to figure out if she was telling the truth.
Since Bianca had mocked her, Natalie began to wonder if she had guessed wrong.
When Natalie met Dave at Champs Le Bar, he had struck her as unusual, so she tried to dig up information about him. As an A-lister, she knew many influential people in Edenfield.
But she was shocked by what she found out.
There was almost no information about Dave, but the limousine he used that night was reportedly owned by the CEO of Phoenix Alliance Group, one of the top companies in Edenfield.
Natalie couldn’t believe it. She had been trying hard to meet this mysterious CEO and even came to the Phoenix Alliance Group headquarters today to see if Dave was the CEO.
Unexpectedly, she ran into Bianca there.
Bianca seemed completely unaware of the situation with her boyfriend, which made Natalie start to doubt herself.
What Bianca said made sense. If she really were the girlfriend of this powerful CEO, she could have anything she wanted and wouldn’t need to work so hard in the entertainment industry.
But if Dave wasn’t the CEO of Phoenix Alliance Group, why had he used the CEO’s limousine? And why was he treated with such respect everywhere he went?
It could only mean one thing: Dave must be connected to the wealthy Evans family.
Natalie narrowed her eyes at Bianca, her mind racing. ‘What if Bianca had no idea that Dave was related to the Evans family? What if Dave was hiding this from her?’
If that were the case, things could get interesting.
Suddenly, Natalie broke into a wide grin. It seemed Dave was just playing with Bianca. Maybe he was worried that Bianca would keep bothering him if she knew his true identity, so he was keeping it a secret.
Natalie, who often mingled with the wealthy, knew how these rich men operated. Sometimes, they would play tricks on unsuspecting women.
One thing was for sure. When Dave got tired of Bianca, he’d dump her without a second thought. In the end, Bianca might never even find out who her boyfriend really was!
Thinking about this made Natalie look at Bianca with a hint of pity.
“Jezz, I was just kidding, Bianca. Why take me so seriously?” Natalie said, playfully patting Bianca’s arm. In her eyes, Bianca was no longer an enemy but a woman being used by a rich man.
Natalie didn’t even need to lift a finger; eventually, Bianca would be cast aside like an old toy.
And when they broke up, Natalie could swoop in and become Dave’s new girlfriend.
With a faint smile, Bianca replied, “Miss King, this is Phoenix Alliance Group, not Phoenix Entertainment. Did you come to the wrong place? By the way, I heard Orion Entertainment is trying to poach you. Why not take their offer? It could be a great opportunity for you.”
While her words sounded innocent, Bianca was clearly mocking Natalie for her declining fame.
But at the end of the day, Natalie was still a popular actress. No one else in Phoenix Entertainment could compare to her, so it would be a big loss for the company if she left.
With a forced smile, Natalie said, “It’s up to Mr. Evans to decide if I go to Orion Entertainment.”
“Why? What’s the connection between them?” Bianca asked, confused.
Natalie shot Bianca a meaningful glance before going straight to the front desk. “I want to see Mr. Evans,” she ordered.
When the receptionist recognized Natalie, she seemed a bit flustered. “Miss King, I’m afraid you can’t-”
“What? I’m not qualified to see the CEO. Do you know who I am? If you delay this meeting, I’ll tell him to fire you tomorrow.”
Natalie’s arrogant attitude quickly intimidated the receptionist. Knowing Natalie’s status, she had to swallow her pride and make the call.
“Please wait a moment. I’ll connect you to the CEO’s secretary.”
After witnessing this exchange, Bianca decided to stick around and see how it unfolded before leaving.
In the office of Phoenix Alliance Group’s CEO, Dave was in the middle of a video conference with a business tycoon from Mubluosia. He spoke fluently in French. Recently, Michael had taken on some foreign projects, and things were going well, putting a strain on Dave’s uncles’ overseas business.
Thanks to Dave’s smart strategies, the tycoon grew to trust and value Michael, allowing him to dominate almost all the major projects there.
Once the video call ended, Dave leaned back in his leather chair. His uncles, especially Rupert, were likely feeling very stressed lately.
People tend to make mistakes when they’re desperate, and Dave knew that the moment he saw an opportunity, he could take down all his uncles at once.
Then, he could take over the Evans Group easily and finally reveal his true identity to Bianca and marry her.
Just thinking about this made Dave smile faintly.
At that moment, his secretary knocked on the door and poked her head in.
“Mr. Evans, Miss Natalie King is here to see you.”
Dave frowned, feeling annoyed. “Do you just let anyone in here? What kind of secretary are you?”
The secretary’s smile froze as a chill ran down her spine. She had worked for Dave long enough to know exactly what he meant.
However, when she heard Natalie King wanted to meet with the CEO, she felt she couldn’t just ignore it.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Evans. I’ll let her know you’re busy.”
She hurried to leave, but before she could get away, Dave’s deep voice called out, “Wait.”
“Mr. Evans, is there anything else you need?”
Sitting up straight, Dave looked at her with a faint smile and said, “Tell her I want her to fuck off.”
Meanwhile, some people recognized Natalie in the lobby of Phoenix Alliance Group headquarters and couldn’t help but stare at her.
Even though everyone there was a social elite, seeing a big star like Natalie King was still exciting.
They whispered among themselves, curious about what she was doing there. Natalie stood at the front desk with her arms crossed, waiting arrogantly for someone to invite her to the CEO’s office.
Every so often, she glanced disdainfully at Bianca.
From the way Bianca had acted earlier, it was clear her request to meet the CEO had been turned down.
In Natalie’s eyes, it made sense that she had been turned down. After all, people like Bianca didn’t deserve to meet someone as important as the CEO of Phoenix Alliance Group.
“Miss King, do you really think Mr. Evans will meet you?” Bianca asked, looking skeptical.
