“Shall we find a place to talk?” Xavier suggested.
Flynn glanced at him oddly, wondering what they could possibly have to discuss, and then said:
“Let’s talk here.”
Xavier smiled and began, “I’ve investigated Miss Hamilton’s life and found that she’s very close to you, and she likes you a lot.”
Harriet was to be a marital tool for the Hussain family, soon to be wed to Stellan.
A concubine must also be pure.
After investigating and confirming that Harriet was a virgin, Xavier was very pleased.
However, upon discovering that Flynn’s relationship with Harriet was unusual, Xavier grew concerned and decided to warn Flynn.
“Well, she’s my sister,” Flynn stated flatly.
Harriet wanted to consider Flynn as her brother, and Flynn had agreed.
Given his own relationship with Odin, calling Harriet his sister was quite fitting.
Hearing this, Xavier chuckled, misunderstanding Flynn’s intent.
He thought the term “sister” was a romantic pet name.
So, he tilted his head and asked, “Do you know which is the highest mountain in Niarak?”
Flynn thought for a moment and said, “I think it’s Phoenix Blossom Mountain, 700 meters high.”
Xavier nodded and smiled, “Do you know the highest mountain in Pelens?”
Flynn frowned.
What’s wrong with this old man? Is this some kind of questioning game?
“It’s Swordgate Peak, 3, 000 meters high, three times taller than Phoenix Blossom Mountain!” Xavier’s voice suddenly rose, his face proud.
Flynn slightly furrowed his brow, convinced the old man was crazy, making such dramatic statements.
“So what? What are you trying to say?”
It made no sense!
Xavier stared into Flynn’s eyes and sneered, “What I’m trying to say is, your ultimate goal in life might just be to reach the top of Phoenix Blossom Mountain.”
“But Miss Hamilton, once my master publicly acknowledges this daughter, she will instantly appear on the top of Swordgate Peak!”
“She will be at the summit, looking down upon all lesser peaks! In her view will be a world ten, a hundred times larger than Niarak!”
Xavier’s implication was clear about the disparity in status.
Flynn’s life goal could only make him master of the small world of Niarak.
And he might not even achieve that.
But Harriet, with Zion’s guidance to Pelens, would immediately become a princess of Pelens.
Her status so noble, it could dim the stars in the sky.
Then, Flynn and she would be worlds apart, as different as earth and heaven.
Flynn coldly said, “How do you know that all I can ever achieve is to reach the top of Phoenix Blossom Mountain?”
Xavier scoffed, “I’ve investigated you, the discarded son of the Clark family, the former son-in-law of the Kaur family, head of security for Rose.”
“Cruz’s puppet, spent ten years in jail, knows some martial arts, prone to violence.”
Flynn smiled slightly, raising an eyebrow, “Is that all? Didn’t dig deeper?”
These identities matched the understanding the three families had of him, likely Xavier had consulted Layla.
“Dig deeper?” Xavier laughed heartily, hands clasped behind his back in an extremely contemptuous manner, “Is an ant worth my time?”
“Further investigation would only reveal more insignificant details.”
“Even if you aren’t relying on the God of War, and are friends with Orion, a Martial Arts Grandmaster, in my master’s eyes, you’re still just a lowly crawler.”
“Kid, go out and see more of the world, it’s vast!”
“For instance, in Pelens, the sky is a hundred times larger than in Niarak.”
“Your revered Orion is commonplace in Pelens; they wouldn’t even get to see my master!”
Flynn was getting annoyed.
“Why all this nonsense? Just say what you want!”
Enough with the old man’s irritating chatter, on top of Layla’s nagging.
“My point is simple, stay away from Miss Hamilton, because from now on, you and she are no longer in the same world.”
“She was as noble as a princess, shining like the sun and moon, while you are but an ant that can only be seen by borrowing the light of others!”
“I know Miss Hamilton likes you, but that’s just because she’s still naive.”
“Once she mingles with Pelens’ high society and broadens her horizons, she will leave you because you’re not worthy, and you never will be!”
Flynn’s face suddenly turned cold as he said:
“What Harriet chooses to do is her right, and whether I leave her is not for you to decide!”
Upon hearing this, Xavier’s face instantly darkened, his gaze icy as he fixed it on Flynn: “To dare speak such arrogant words in my presence shows you’re just an uncultured bumpkin who fears neither heaven nor earth.”
“When you truly witness the might of my master, you won’t speak so boldly.”
After saying this, he shook his head, feeling it was a waste of effort to speak so much to Flynn.
After all, with Flynn’s status, he simply couldn’t understand; it was like casting pearls before swine.
Tell me, would a child who has never seen a deity be scared if you described one to him?
No.
Even if somewhat scared, it wouldn’t be a fear that came from deep within.
Only when one truly faces a deity will they prostrate themselves, worship deeply from the heart, and regard it as taboo, lacking even the courage to look up and meet their gaze.
“What might does your master have?” Flynn scoffed.
Having been in Niarak for two months, he had seen plenty of posers, but never one who elevated their status to such heights.
Too flashy!
Too pretentious!
Xavier laughed arrogantly: “Take Orion, for example.”
“Isn’t he the King of Niarak? Yet he doesn’t even qualify to meet me!”
“Status, position, power-my master surpasses him by twenty-fold! Even I am beyond his reach!”
“You’re even less significant, not even worth comparing; comparing you to him would be an insult to my master.”
Comparing high gods to mortals is an insult to the gods.
Flynn laughed.
Power.
Status.
Position.
He, Zion, could be compared to anyone, just not with me.
The title ‘King of the Underworld’ is synonymous with power, status, and position!
Are those Heavenly Kings of the Northern Territory impressive? My disciples!
Those old stubborn leaders at the Imperial Center are revered enough, right? I’ve beaten two of them and even plucked out the beard of the Third Elder!
The commander of the 300, 000 Dragon Cavalry, Nate, is fierce enough, but he still has to watch his tone with me!
Seeing Flynn still unimpressed, Xavier’s face darkened with a hint of threat:
“I don’t want to waste too much time on an ant like you.”
“Just one thing-stay away from Miss Hamilton within a thousand meters.”
“She will shine like the bright moon atop Swordgate Peak, something an ant like you who hasn’t even climbed Phoenix Blossom Mountain can’t compare to!”
“Leave her, or you will be obliterated!”
Flynn’s face turned cold, his eyes indifferent as he said to Layla: “I only see Harriet as a sister, nothing more.”
“But don’t threaten me, because I hate threats the most in my life.”
“If you dare use threats again, I’ll make you regret being born!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The six Grandmasters with Xavier, upon hearing Flynn’s words, exploded with formidable aura.
Majestic as dragons and tigers, their presence like the sky falling!
“Young man, to speak to Xavier like that, you’re seeking death!”
With these words, the six Grandmasters moved together, charging towards Flynn!
