“Nora,” Leo called out with a smile.
Nora wiped her eyes and smiled back, “Leo, Sophia, you two rest for a bit. The food will be ready soon.”
Before long, Martin returned home and was delighted to see Leo. He had visited the Nameless Clinic several times before but had never managed to meet Leo.
Once the food was on the table, the family enjoyed a harmonious meal. Jessica, in particular, made Leo feel a bit uncomfortable with her attentiveness, constantly picking food for him and urging him to eat more.
At that moment, the TV broadcasted a news segment. The female host’s pleasant voice announced, “We interrupt with a news flash. Yesterday afternoon, the Traditional Medicine University of the capital held a seminar on traditional medicine. Two uninvited Korean guests attended and…”
“That’s Leo on TV!” Nora exclaimed in surprise.
Martin and Jessica turned their attention to the TV screen. After watching the news segment, Martin put down his chopsticks and gave Leo a thumbs-up. “Well done, Leo! Those Koreans want to claim everything as their own!”
Jessica beamed with pride. “That’s my son-in-law, making us Atrarians proud!”
Leo merely smiled, not thinking he had done anything particularly remarkable.
After dinner, Leo and Sophia enjoyed some private time together, during which many indescribable things happened.
The next day, after dropping Sophia off at work, Leo drove to Spirit Moon Antiques. He had just entered the shop when a sharp voice sounded behind him.
“Well, well! Busy, aren’t we? Does this antique shop even have any business?”
Without looking, Leo knew Ethan had arrived.
Christine’s face immediately darkened. “What are you doing here again? I told you we’re not selling the antique shop!”
Ethan ignored Christine and looked at Leo with a smirk. “You must be hired by Spirit Moon Antiques, right? How about jumping ship to Bonham Auction House? Whatever they’re paying you, I’ll double it!”
Ethan laughed loudly, his laughter echoing through the shop. Big Al and Little Al rolled up their sleeves, ready to teach him a lesson, but Arlene held them back.
Seeing Leo ignore his offer, Ethan finally stopped laughing and casually pulled out a flyer. “This is for Bonham Auction House’s auction in three days at Spring Dawn Garden. Here are three tickets for you.”
“Come if you have time. The evaluation committee will be rating all major businesses and antique shops on the spot. I wonder if you’ll be last or second to last? Haha, maybe you’ll compete with Triple Element Commerce Association for first place!”
Ethan laughed as he walked out, leaving Christine and the others glaring at each other.
“Sis, that guy is so annoying! He always comes by to disgust us. Next time, let’s kick him out at the door!” Arlene suggested.
Leo picked up the flyer Ethan had left on the counter. It was for an auction at Spring Dawn Garden by Bonham Auction House.
Christine glanced at the flyer in Leo’s hand and snorted. “He’s just spending a fortune to create hype!”
“Sis, will it work?” Arlene asked.
Christine frowned. It was currently the off-season for antique sales, and there were no sensational news stories in the market. She knew Ethan had spent a lot of money to acquire a golden dragon luminous pearl. With all the hype and promotion in place, Ethan might actually pull off this auction.
But Christine quickly relaxed and looked at Leo. “We have an ace up our sleeve-the treasure of Western Xia Emperor Lee. That will definitely overshadow Ethan’s auction!”
Leo wasn’t very confident because of the tight timeline. Confirming and excavating the treasure site would take time, and the treasure would undoubtedly be heavily booby-trapped. Whether they could successfully excavate it was still uncertain.
Could Chloe and her team excavate the treasure within three days?
After leaving the antique shop, Leo returned to the clinic. Due to media coverage, there were more than twice as many people seeking medical treatment at Nameless Clinic than usual.
When Leo arrived at the clinic and saw the crowd, he was taken aback. Besides patients, there were also many reporters there for interviews.
“Everyone, don’t push! Please line up for registration!” Today, Chasel deeply felt how painful it was to maintain order.
Leo’s arrival caused the media to swarm around him like wolves smelling prey. They surrounded him in layers.
Leo refused all interview requests from the media. At first, he remained polite, but as their questions became more annoying, he started responding with a curt “No comment,” just like in TV shows.
Sakura, Shiloh, Sarah, and others were busy registering patients, diagnosing illnesses, and dispensing medicine without a moment’s rest or even time for a sip of water.
It wasn’t until five in the afternoon that the crowd finally thinned out, leaving only those waiting for their prescriptions.
Nameless Clinic’s rule was that consultations ended at five in the afternoon.
Chasel lay sprawled on a chair, exhausted and sighing. “Leo, besides using appointment registration, we need to hire more staff. Otherwise, if every day is like today, we’ll be dead tired.”
Shiloh, Sakura, and Sarah nodded vigorously while gulping down water, fully agreeing with Chasel’s suggestion.
Leo smiled wryly and nodded. “We must hire more people. Post the job ads tomorrow.”
Little did Leo know that his decision to hire more staff would not only bring Willow but also two top students from Langstel Traditional Medicine University.
After a short rest, just as Leo was about to leave the clinic to pick up his wife from work, a familiar voice called out. “Mr. Bloomer, your clinic seems quite lively.”
Two men in white casual clothes walked in through the door.
Leo was slightly taken aback when he saw them. They were none other than Jay Park and Sang Kwon from Korea, whom he had reprimanded at the Traditional Medicine University seminar.
Jay Park and Sang Kwon quickly shifted their gaze from Leo to Shiloh, Sakura, and Sarah, their eyes lingering on the three women.
It was well-known that Korea was a country famous for artificial beauty, so it was no surprise that Jay Park and Sang Kwon were attracted to these natural beauties.
“What do you two want?” Leo asked coldly with a frown.
Jay Park finally turned his attention back to Leo and smiled. “Mr. Bloomer, you seem very hostile towards us. We Koreans are a friendly nation. We came to your clinic today with good news.”
Leo sneered and asked, “Oh really? What’s the good news?”
