Chloe’s parents were archaeologists, but they lost their lives because of a certain box.
In an ancient tomb, Chloe’s parents discovered this box, and the tomb’s records indicated that it contained a treasure map of Western Xia.
While exiting the tomb, Chloe’s parents accidentally triggered a mechanism, leading to their immediate deaths.
At that time, Chloe had just graduated from college. The death of her parents struck her hard, planting a deep-seated obsession within her.
Afterward, Chloe followed in her parents’ footsteps, determined to uncover the secrets of the box.
Leo’s appearance provided her with new insights on how to open the box.
Although the box was now open, it contained only a dagger, and the true secret of the box remained hidden.
“Leo, you managed to find the hidden patterns on Arlene’s porcelain vase last time. Can you really not see anything on this dagger?”
“I was hoping you could help Chloe and ease her obsession.”
Old Sam had a very close relationship with Chloe and considered her like a granddaughter. He didn’t want her to be consumed by the mystery of the box.
Chloe was not getting any younger, and Old Sam was genuinely concerned about her future.
Seeing Leo’s helpless expression, Old Sam realized that uncovering the true secret of the box would be difficult.
He changed his tone and said, “Maybe you should persuade Chloe to let it go. Perhaps this treasure map doesn’t even exist.”
“Sam, I’ll try to talk to her if I get the chance,” Leo agreed reluctantly.
Old Sam gave Leo a meaningful look and squinted his eyes. “Honestly, this is the first time I’ve seen Chloe spend so much time with a man in the lab.”
“You don’t have a girlfriend yet, do you? This is your chance; you should seize it.”
Hearing this, Leo couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time.
“Sam, I’m already married…” Leo said awkwardly.
“Married!?” Old Sam was taken aback and then sighed. “What a pity…”
As he left the museum, Leo felt a bit dazed, with images of Chloe filling his mind.
He slapped himself to snap out of it.

Nameless Chinese Clinic.
“Doctor, please take a look at my wife!” A hurried voice called out.
A middle-aged couple rushed in through the door.
The middle-aged woman tilted her head, clutching her neck. Her face was flushed, and she looked extremely pained, barely able to move and walking very cautiously.
Shiloh had just stepped out of the consultation room. Seeing this situation, she quickly said, “Quick, help her sit down!”
Shiloh signaled the waiting patients to hold on and then walked briskly to the middle-aged woman. “What happened?”
“My wife was watching TV and suddenly couldn’t move her neck. Any slight movement causes her severe pain,” the man said anxiously.
“Take your hand away; let me take a look.”
Shiloh instructed the middle-aged woman to remove her hand.
“You? Doctor… Is Dr. Leo here? I’d like Dr. Leo to take a look,” the middle-aged man said, eyeing Shiloh with some doubt.
He was a local resident and had heard of Dr. Leo’s reputation, which was why they chose Nameless Chinese Clinic.
“Dr. Leo isn’t here, but I can handle this,” Shiloh said with a frown.
“Shiloh, maybe I should call Dr. Leo,” Chasel said worriedly.
Although she knew Shiloh’s medical skills were good, this patient’s condition was quite special, and the affected area was crucial-the neck.
If anything went wrong, it wouldn’t be a joke.
Shiloh confidently said, “I can handle this.”
Seeing Shiloh so assured, the middle-aged man didn’t want to waste any more time and said earnestly, “Doctor, I’ll leave it to you.”
After the middle-aged woman removed her hand, Shiloh carefully examined her neck and took her pulse. “It’s not too serious but not too light either. Fortunately, you came early; if delayed, it could have been life-threatening.”
“What!?” The middle-aged man’s face changed dramatically. “What is it then?”
“It’s not an illness but caused by strain. If I’m not mistaken, she has had severe stiff necks recently?”
“Her job likely involves sitting in front of a computer for long periods, and the more her neck hurts, the more she tries to move it.”
“Yes, exactly!” The middle-aged man was overjoyed and gave Shiloh a thumbs up. “As expected from Nameless Chinese Clinic’s doctor; you’re spot on!”
“Can my wife’s condition be treated?” The man asked respectfully.
“Of course. With acupuncture, her symptoms will greatly improve!” Shiloh said confidently.
Chasel had been about to call Leo but hesitated after seeing Shiloh’s precise diagnosis and put her phone away.
Shiloh took out her acupuncture kit and instructed the middle-aged woman to sit up straight and lift her neck as much as possible.
However, due to the pain, she couldn’t straighten her neck.
Shiloh didn’t rush into acupuncture but pressed on the painful area of her neck with her thumb.
Finding a hard strip of compressed pain half an inch to the right of her cervical spine, she asked the woman to remove her shoes and roll up her pants. She then had her stand on a small stool and targeted two points on her lower leg: True Meridian and Genuine Meridian.
Everyone watched in amazement as Shiloh targeted points on the Achilles tendon for a neck issue.
Using 1. 5-inch 0. 3mm needles, Shiloh inserted them about an inch deep and left them in place while continuously manipulating them for optimal stimulation.
After about half an hour, Shiloh removed the needles and asked, “Try moving now; does it still hurt?”
The middle-aged woman touched her neck and found that both the pain and stiffness were gone. Overjoyed, she exclaimed, “It doesn’t hurt at all! Thank you so much!”
Her husband was equally excited and praised Shiloh repeatedly. “Young doctor, you’re truly remarkable! Your skills might even surpass Dr. Leo’s!”
He found it incredible that his wife had been in such severe pain just moments ago but was now miraculously cured with a few simple needles from Shiloh.
The other patients in the room also marveled at Shiloh’s skills and praised her continuously.
Chasel couldn’t help but look at Shiloh with admiration and surprise.
It was worth noting that due to Leo’s frequent absences, Shiloh hadn’t actually studied acupuncture under him for very long.
