Chapter 121: She Hates My Face

To avoid making Ulric think she was throwing a tantrum, she thought for a moment and replied with a simple “hmm” before putting down her phone and going to sleep.
Somehow, that night, she dreamt of the scene where her father admitted his affair and revealed he had an illegitimate daughter!
“Yes, she’s about the same age as Rosalind. When you were pregnant for less than a year, she also found out she was expecting.”
“If you are willing to accept her and her mother, we don’t have to get divorced. I promise you that from now on, there will only be the two of you women in my life, no third party!”
“You hold the position of the legitimate wife, yet you can’t even give birth to a son! Fine, if you don’t agree to a divorce, then live as a widow!”
At that time, Rosalind was still very young. Her mother Eva had her back turned to her, so she couldn’t see her expression. What left a deep impression were those three sentences and the look of disgust and disdain her father gave her.
Later, her mother jumped to her death in a fit of anger. Rosalind reached out to grab her mother but tripped over a chair and couldn’t catch hold of her clothes!
Suddenly,
Rosalind opened her eyes!
She gasped for breath, taking a long time to recover from the dream.
“You’re awake?”
Tilda was right next to her, staring at her with wide eyes.
This little girl insisted on sleeping in the same bed as Rosalind last night, saying she was afraid Rosalind might do something rash.
“My brother is on his way!”
Upon hearing this, Rosalind got up to wash up.
Just as she finished dressing, the doorbell rang.
Malcolm had brought three friends with him this time. Although they didn’t look impressive, what they did with Rosalind’s phone truly amazed her.
They managed to recover almost all the information except for the blocked and destroyed data.
“Is there any way to retrieve the recording of Sirena’s call to me?” Rosalind knew this was almost impossible but asked anyway.
A tall, thin man smirked, “It’s tough, too much time has passed.”
“If it’s not possible, then it really isn’t. But we can still find this message,” another short, thin man pointed at a bunch of data codes on the computer. “This should be the one that was deleted! The person who sent it was prepared, it wasn’t deleted by hacking into your phone but was set to auto-delete once read.”
Although Rosalind knew Sirena had prepared for this, hearing it still sent chills down her spine.
At that time, she completely trusted Sirena and even sincerely thanked her for working overtime on the Huayi Enterprises project contract. But behind her back, Sirena had already planned to frame her.
“But recovering this message doesn’t prove it was sent by Sirena.”
Malcolm was smart and hit the nail on the head.
Rosalind had thought of this too. If Sirena could plan so meticulously, she would anticipate that Rosalind might recover the message.
“But at least it shows someone asked me for technical drawings during that period.”
“Rosalind, what kind of grudge do you have with Sirena? She’s trying to completely crush you!” Even Tilda, who was watching from the side, felt terrified.
She had seen Sirena’s photos several times before and thought she looked gentle and lovely with strong work capabilities, a person worthy of admiration. But then she turned around and framed her best friend!
“I don’t know,” Rosalind pursed her lips. “Maybe… she hates that my face looks similar to hers.”
