“I just sent some comfort items to her mother.”
“And now you’re waiting for her to contact you?”
Ulric furrowed his brow. “Do you have anything else? If not, I’m busy.”
“I’m telling you, she’s gone this far to show no interest in you. Are you still not planning to let go?”
“We are married.”
Although displeased, Ulric didn’t think that because of Malcolm, he and Rosalind would reach the point of divorce.
He was just upset that she didn’t seem to care enough!
“You’re the only one taking this marriage seriously,” Johnny couldn’t help but feel indignant on behalf of his friend. “She introduces a man as her boyfriend back home, and you can forgive that. Sirena flew over right after her surgery to negotiate a contract for you, and you weren’t moved at all. What’s the deal with that?”
“I told her not to come.”
“Don’t play dumb! Don’t tell me you don’t know Sirena’s feelings for you!”

The surgery of Rosalind’s mother went smoothly. After taking care of her mother in the hospital for two days, Rosalind hurried back to Tilda’s house on Sunday night to pack for her business trip.
“You look exhausted. Why don’t you tell your boss you can’t go this time?” Tilda expressed sympathy for her friend, seeing her in such a state.
