Chapter 94: It Was Clearly Malcolm’s Voice

Ulric had bestowed upon Rosalind a significant title, legally confirming their marriage. It was the very title that the Walters family had always intended to give to Sirena.
“For now, let’s keep this information from her,” Ulric advised, considering his mother’s illness. However, he also recognized that if he didn’t take advantage of the current situation and secure his relationship with Rosalind, he might miss the opportunity in the future.
“Alright, don’t worry. I won’t say a word,” Sirena replied, stepping back. “Since you don’t need my help, I won’t disturb your rest. Get some sleep.”
Ulric nodded briefly without bidding her goodnight, and he closed the door without further ado.
Returning to the bed, Ulric couldn’t shake off the conversation he had overheard from Rosalind’s microphone during a meeting.
-“Rosa, may I come in?”
-“Don’t be so formal. I thought even if you were working overtime, you still need to eat! If Tilda hadn’t insisted on buying some clothes, we could have come back earlier. Tomorrow I’ll have her prepare some food at home so you won’t have to worry about it while working overtime.”
That was unmistakably Malcolm’s voice.
Although Tilda seemed to be present, and they were not alone together, it was already late at night in their time zone, and they were still together!
Deeply furrowing his brow, Ulric sent a message to Cedric:
[Go to Fragrant Harbor for an on-site inspection of Genesis Enterprises and bring Rosalind with you.]

Rosalind was taken aback upon receiving the news that she would be sent on another business trip, this time to the Genesis Enterprises project. It was a crucial initiative for the W Group, and she was surprised they would allow her to participate.
She couldn’t help but wonder if her privileges at the head office would vanish along with her strained relationship with Ulric.
“I understand your mother is undergoing surgery, so we’ll leave on Monday. Does that work for you?” Cedric asked, considerately scheduling the dates without much room for negotiation.
“That’s fine. I just wanted to know if my name would be associated with the Genesis Enterprises project this time.”
If she was being sent on business trips, she hoped to gain some recognition for her efforts.
“I’m not sure. It depends on Mr. Walters’ decision. I’ll discuss it with him later,” Cedric replied.
“No need for that,” Rosalind interjected cautiously, not daring to confront Ulric directly at this time.
“What are you worried about?” Cedric asked, unaware of her concerns and assuming she was simply intimidated by the president. “When Mr. Walters arrives in Fragrant Harbor after his business trip, I’ll arrange for you to pick him up alone. You can take the opportunity to engage him in conversation and get closer to him. Whether your name appears on the project will ultimately depend on Mr. Walters’ approval.”
Since she was already involved in the project, adding her name wouldn’t be an issue. However, without Mr. Walters’ authorization, no one would dare make that decision independently.
“Ulric Walters is returning directly to Fragrant Harbor from his business trip?!” Rosalind exclaimed in surprise, realizing only after speaking that she had referred to him by his full name.
Cedric was also taken aback. “While at the company, remember to address him as Mr. Walters.”
“Apologies, I forgot… I assumed Mr. Walters would return directly to the company.”
“The original plan was for him to go straight to Fragrant Harbor from Sinoington.”
However, the original plan did not include Rosalind accompanying him to Fragrant Harbor.
Cedric gave her an encouraging look. “Make sure you seize this opportunity.”
“Okay…”
As Cedric departed, Rosalind suddenly remembered something he had mentioned earlier.
What did he say again?
He wanted her to pick up Ulric alone at the airport?!
