Rosalind couldn’t help but admire Sirena’s boldness. She had no reservations about asking personal questions, showing no sign of embarrassment.
But really, Ulric was the subject of this discussion. He had been secretly in love with Sirena for years, and now she reciprocated his feelings. What right did Rosalind have to be consulted about such intimate matters?
Adding to her frustration, considering the time difference, it was likely the middle of the night in Sinoington. During this passionate time for Ulric and Sirena, it was hard for Rosalind not to think about what they might have just done that required Ulric to change his intimate clothing.
She sighed and turned off her phone, tossing it aside to focus on her work and avoid further disturbance.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious hotel suite in Sinoington, Ulric had finished dealing with business matters and was preparing to change the medication on his wound before resting.
Knock knock – There was a knock on the door.
Ulric approached with a stern expression and opened it slightly.
It was Sirena.
“Ulric, the doctor reminded you to change your medication 36 hours after being discharged. It may be difficult for you to handle the wound on the back of your leg by yourself. Let me help you.”
“No need, the hotel has staff for that.”
Sirena smiled, seeing through his meticulous nature. “With your obsession with cleanliness, I know you wouldn’t want to rely on hotel staff for this.”
She hit the nail on the head.
Indeed, Ulric had no intention of seeking assistance from the hotel staff. But he also hadn’t considered letting Sirena help him.
“I can manage on my own.”
Seeing his distant and cold demeanor, Sirena couldn’t help feeling a wave of sadness.
“Have you been so reluctant all these years to even consider me a friend?”
This was her first attempt to break through the barrier and speak to him directly.
Despite countless attempts by Ulric’s parents to matchmake them, both openly and secretly, Sirena always understood Ulric’s thoughts and helped him maintain an ambiguous cover.
She remained by his side as a friend rather than accepting the title of “future daughter-in-law” bestowed upon her by his parents.
“We’re friends and excellent partners.” Ulric’s response was always impeccable, maintaining his gentlemanly and official demeanor.
Sirena bit her red lips. “So, am I the same as Rosalind?”
Caught off guard by the mention of Rosalind’s name, Ulric’s handsome face finally revealed a mix of emotions.
“Not the same.”
“Because you two got married.”
Ulric frowned, realizing that Johnny must have spread this information.
“Don’t blame Johnny! It was because of your car accident that both Johnny and I were so upset we called Rosalind. He blurted it out in a moment of desperation.” Recalling that scene, Sirena lowered her gaze. “Johnny said you got married, and Rosalind even went to seduce other men.”
Although she was pulled away by Johnny at that time, she wasn’t far and could hear everything.
“I don’t want to discuss this. Do you have something else to say?” Ulric’s expression darkened, and his aura became more oppressive.
Sirena pursed her lips and remained silent for a while before sighing. “Aren’t you afraid your mother will find out and have a relapse?”
What she truly wanted to say was…
How could he have easily registered with Rosalind?
That position should have been hers.
The name on the marriage certificate should have been Sirena!
She had thought Rosalind was just a passing infatuation for Ulric, a youthful crush, a fresh encounter after years apart. But she hadn’t expected… it turned out to be a reckless and premeditated move.
