In the past, Ulric was often perceived as unyielding and detached, like a stoic priest devoid of desires. Mature and intelligent women, cute girls, and even models failed to capture his attention.
However, it is now evident that Ulric is not emotionless, his reactions depend on the individuals he interacts with.
Surprisingly, he has his own unique way of courting women.
For instance, when Rosalind needed to meet a person in charge, he, the dignified President of the W Group, insisted on accompanying her as an escort.
He even advised them to claim it was a work-related discussion if they were discovered.
“Is there any real business here?” people would tease, but Ulric never responded, fully engrossed in his work.
Johnny intentionally moved closer to disturb him. “By the way, why did you suppress the workplace harassment scandal involving the Huayi manager? That scandal could have been leverage to make the Huayi CEO obediently sign the contract.”
Ulric paused, his pen hovering over the paper, and furrowed his brow.
“That would harm Rosalind.”
He was concerned about the young woman’s reputation.
Although he had never experienced life at the bottom, he could foresee the consequences if the matter came to light-it would undoubtedly spark gossip among employees of both Prosperity Holdings and Huayi.
Rumors would spread, distorting the truth, with the focus inevitably falling on Rosalind as the victim of assault.
Rosalind only had her voice, and he doubted she would be able to defend herself clearly.
Johnny seemed to grasp the situation and couldn’t help but admire Ulric’s thoughtful approach.
“But why don’t you tell her about this? If you handle it discreetly, she won’t know!”
“I don’t want her to know.”
“In that case, she’ll only fall in love with you in the next century!”
A faint smile curved Ulric’s lips as he lowered the hand that had been massaging his forehead.
“You don’t understand her.”
With Rosalind, it could only take times.
If his affection became too overwhelming, it wouldn’t move her, it would only make her want to escape. She had a strong sense of insecurity and defensiveness. Winning her heart was no easy task.
But regardless, he held their marriage certificate in his hand.
The moment he received her mistaken message and knocked on her door that night, he had already decided not to let her go.

In the evening, Rosalind delegated her work to another assistant before leaving the company. Unfortunately, she had missed the last bus to the hospital.
Determined, she extended her arm to hail a taxi when Ulric’s car pulled up beside her and came to a gradual stop.
“Get in.”
The car window rolled down, revealing Ulric’s refined profile.
Rosalind hastily waved her hand. “I can’t go with you right now, I need to visit my mom in the hospital today!”
Observing her anxious explanation, Ulric sighed helplessly. “I’ll take you to the hospital.”
“…”
“If you keep hesitating, do you want everyone in the company to notice?”
Hearing his words, Rosalind swiftly opened the car door and got in.
Today, Ulric had come alone, without his assistant, and was driving himself.
Feeling slightly uneasy in the enclosed space of the car, Rosalind’s mind raced. Glancing at the flowers and gifts on the back seat, her face flushed with warmth, and she awkwardly brought up a topic that only added to the discomfort. “Mr. Walters, are you going on a date?”
“With whom?”
“…” Obviously, with your true love!
“And didn’t I tell you not to call me Mr. Walters in private?”
Rosalind timidly withdrew, concealing her emotions. “Isn’t it a sign of respect?”
“Call me Ulric.”
He reminded her once more.
Just as Rosalind was about to speak, she suddenly recalled that his true love also referred to him as Ulric!
No wonder he insisted on the change in how she addressed him.
Does Ulric love Sirena so deeply?
Is his love for her so profound that even as he searches for a substitute, he continues to treat her with tenderness?
