Chapter 89: Buying a Villa!

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2024-9-12

The next morning, instead of going to the Tippy Restaurant in Hiphia, Kayden went straight to the sales office of the southern villa district.
He was going to ask Georgia to come with him, but she got a phone call and had to rush to her office.
Left with no other choice, Kayden went to the sales office by himself.
The location of the sales office was quite nice, surrounded by mountains and rivers. Its beauty lied in its rustic charm.
He stopped in front of the sales office and looked around for a few seconds. Noticing him looking around curiously, a few security guards in uniform couldn’t help but whisper among themselves, “Has this guy never seen a place like this before?”
“Isn’t that obvious? People like him show up here all the time! They pretend to be interested, take a few photos, and then leave. Just watch, he’ll probably go inside to take some pictures soon, just to post them on Instagram.”
“People these days are so vain. I know a girl who’s in a pyramid scheme. She’s always posting pictures of herself having lavish dinners and driving luxury cars. People would be so jealous of her, but in the end it’s all just for show.”
“Exactly, but this guy must be a fool. Coming here dressed like that to take photos. He should have at least changed his clothes. This is just embarrassing.”
After checking out the surroundings, Kayden continued walking forward.
When he got to the entrance, the two security guards stopped him. “Hey, where do you think you’re going?”
Kayden looked at them and asked, “What is this place?”
They hesitated for a moment before answering, “Can’t you read? This is the Serenity Estate Sales Office.”
“Then why are you asking me what I’m doing here? Isn’t it obvious?” With that, Kayden walked straight inside.
“Hey! Damn! He does have a point.”
They looked at each other, suddenly realizing the logic in his words.
Once inside the sales office, Kayden began looking around. There were quite some people there to see the properties. There were plenty of salespeople in the office, but none of them came to assist Kayden.
A few saleswomen were having breakfast in the lobby. One of them suddenly said, “Hey, did you see that? Where did that weirdo come from?”
“Damn! Is he serious? He came here dressed like? Those clothes must be really cheap!”
“Totally! His outfit is trashy, but he sure has guts! You should go check it out. Maybe you can close a deal with him. He might be the kind of millionaire who likes to dress casually.”
“Forget it. I’ll give this one to you! You’ve got more experience. It’s better if you go handle it.”
“No way! Let Shirley take this one. This looks like such a big deal!”
“C’mon, you two. I think you’re both more capable than me, especially when it comes to charming men!”
They all burst out laughing.
They were used to dealing with people who only looked but never bought. People like that would come here everyday. They would look around and then leave without buying anything, leaving the sales staff busy for nothing.
However, Kayden was probably the most absurd one they had seen-coming here without even changing his clothes!
They’re selling villas here, the kind that would cost tens of millions. Did he think these were some common apartments?
The others would at least put on some more appropriate clothes before coming here. He’s truly a weirdo!
Suddenly, an intern with glasses walked over. She was a recent college graduate who had been with the company for nearly three months. Without making even a single sale, she was on the verge of being let go.
Mya Griffiths wasn’t the kind of girl that a room would go quiet for. She was always dressed conservatively, never even showing too much of her legs. Her forehead was always covered by her bangs, looking ever so common with those glasses.
However, she had a certain charm that grew on you-the more you looked at her, the more attractive you would find her be.
Her colleagues had nicknamed her the ‘country bumpkin’ behind her back because of her conservative style.
“Look, it’s that country bumpkin!”
“Why don’t we let her do it?”
“I think that’s a good idea!”
They conspired among themselves.
“Hey, Mya!” Suddenly, one of the girls called out to the intern.
Mya stopped and responded, “Sara, what’s up?”
“Look, there’s a customer over there. We feel bad for you since you haven’t made any sales yet, so we’ll let you handle this one.” Sara pointed at Kayden, who was checking out the model houses.
Mya took one look and immediately understood their intention. It was exactly because of things like this that she couldn’t make any sales. They would only give this kind of customers to her. However, when someone arrived in a car and was dressed elegantly, they would rush to attend to them.
But she had no choice. She was just an intern.
She adjusted her glasses and said, “Thank you.”
So she walked over to Kayden and asked politely, “Hello, sir. May I ask what type of house you’re looking for?”
Kayden didn’t answer, nor did he even look at Mya. Instead, he continued to study the model houses, searching for a location with the best environment. Living in a good environment could be beneficial for one’s relaxation and well-being.
Kayden knew a thing or two about environmental design. Every mountain and piece of land has its ideal spot, and he needed to find that perfect spot.
“Sir, all the properties here are standalone villas, starting at a minimum of 30 million,” Mya said cautiously. She didn’t want to waste any time and was hoping she could dismiss him with fewer words possible.
“I know,” Kayden replied.
“How much is this one?” Kayden pointed to a villa located halfway up the hill. It was the best spot on the entire mountain, an ideal location with an amazing environment.
This villa community was considered a wealthy area in Hiphia, with each villa costing tens of millions. Since Hiphia was a small city, real estate prices there were not as high as in larger cities, making villas worth tens of millions already an incredible luxury.
Just as Mya was about to answer, the sarcastic voice of a woman interrupted, “Well, if it isn’t Georgia’s husband, the Adams family’s live-in son-in-law!”
The woman speaking was wearing a white blouse, black stockings, and a pencil skirt, her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, looking quite attractive. She was Lorelei Cook and had been close to Georgia back in their school days.
“Are you here to check out some villas?” Lorelei’s face showed a hint of mockery as she spoke.
