Back in the room, Rosiley stopped crying after a while. She patted Yayoi gently on her back and comforted her without saying anything.
After a long time, Yayoi gradually stopped crying and only continued sobbing softly.
Rosiley said in a gentle voice, “Yayoi… ”
Yayoi did not respond.
She continued, “Yayoi, Uncle and Auntie suddenly pleading guilty must have something to do with Yang Qianqian. We have to wipe away our tears. The problem we are facing cannot be solved with tears. Uncle and Auntie are still waiting for us to prove their innocence.”
About ten seconds later, Yayoi looked up and sat up straight.
She lifted her hand to wipe away her tears and then forced a smile. “I won’t cry anymore.”
Rosiley smiled. “Yes, we won’t cry anymore. We have to face all the possible difficulties ahead with great courage so that Uncle and Auntie can be freed as soon as possible.”
She took a few tissues and stuffed them into Yayoi’s hands. “Wipe your face or go wash it. I’ll call Sachin and the rest to come in.”
The atmosphere in the spacious living room was quiet and serious.
Morphy held Yayoi’s hand tightly in his. He was comforting her and giving her strength without saying anything.
“This time around Yang Qianqian has got Uncle and Auntie to plead guilty directly. She must have used Yayoi to threaten them,” Rosiley guessed.
“Most likely.” Morphy nodded. “Yang Qianqian is panicking. After all, the situation in YanG is not very optimistic.”
“There was a problem with their funds and several projects have been forced to a halt for now. I guess it must have something to do with the corruption case.” Sachin calmly analyzed, “Someone secretly moved a large amount of money, causing the projects to run out of funds, so they had to stop.”
Rosiley frowned. “Didn’t Chairman Yang realize that it was his own daughter?”
Morphy curled the corner of his lips mockingly. “Yang Qianqian is not a big shot in YanG, how could she possibly move such a huge amount of funds? She must have made some deal with those high-level executives, and that’s why she was able to move the company’s funds so carefreely.”
“She probably thinks that part of her father’s assets belongs to her anyway, so it doesn’t matter when she uses them.”
Rosiley pursed her lips and continued, “Then she found out that she couldn’t fix the shortage of funds, so she was tempted. And then, Uncle and Auntie were pulled into it to take her punishments.”
At this moment, Yayoi, who had been silent for a long time, finally said, “My parents suffered this because of me.”
Her voice was full of guilt.
Rosiley sighed gently. “Yayoi, it’s not your fault. Even without Han Yichen, I think Yang Qianqian would still have chosen to let Uncle and Auntie take the blame. After all, they are people with principles.”
People who kept to their principles were like aliens amongst those who did not. They were time-bombs that needed to be eliminated instantly.
Hence, Uncle and Auntie were like ticking time-bombs in the eyes of those corrupt people.
“Morphy will take you to see your parents today. You should know what to do.” Sachin’s faint gaze fell on Yayoi.
“Hmm,” Yayoi replied. “I’ll ask my parents to tell me everything they know.”
Sachin nodded and turned to look at Morphy. “As for YanG, do whatever you want. There’s no need to go soft.”
He spoke in a very light manner, but Rosiley was shocked when she heard him. “Are you guys going to ruin the YanG?”
“sister-in-law, the funds have been stopped anyways. They’re bound to fall sooner or later, might as well give them the pain in one shot.”
Morphy said this with a grin but there was a hint of malice in his smile.
Rosiley raised her brows and said, “Alright then, I’ll support you guys.”
If the YanG were to collapse, Yang Qianqian could not be arrogant anymore. Meanwhile, Han Yichen, that scumbag, had initially hoped to soar with the help of a rich girl, but he would never have expected to have a terrible fall before he could even take off.
