While the TV in the living room was showing news on the Yangs’ corruption case, Rosiley was learning flower arrangement from Auntie Wu.
“A public trial was held today for the Yang Enterprise’s higher management corruption case… ”
Hearing the voice from the TV, Rosiley immediately put down the scissors in her hand and walked quickly to the living room. She fixed her eyes tightly on the TV screen.
Sachin looked up at her. “Weren’t you there today? Why are you still watching so attentively?”
“I did watch the whole trial process.” Rosiley walked over and sat next to him. “But I didn’t see the interview.”
On the TV screen, Yang Qianqian said to the reporter in a righteous and just tone, “I believe that the law is fair and will give the YanG a satisfactory result.”
“My foot!” Looking at Yang Qianqian’s disgusting face, Rosiley could not take it anymore. “How could there be such a shameless person in this world? She completely changes my worldview!”
Seeing how enraged she was, Sachin gently chuckled before saying, “She is so ugly, of course she’s shameless.”
Rosiley raised her brows in surprise and shook her head with a tut. “Sachin, your tongue is also so vicious. But… I like it!”
Sachin pinched her nose affectionately and then looked back at the TV again. Looking at Yang Qianqian and Han Yichen on the news, he narrowed his eyes slightly. “Today’s result could also be beyond their expectations. As long as Yayoi’s parents are not corrupt, those who really are will definitely feel very uneasy. So, they are bound to come up with something else.”
Rosiley nodded. “Attorney Zhong told us the same thing, so he wants us to quickly find evidence to prove Uncle and Auntie Seneca’s innocence.”
“How about Yayoi’s father’s friend?”
“He doesn’t want to see us.”
“Why not?” Sachin frowned.
Rosiley shook her head. “I don’t know. Yayoi told me that he had said he wanted to help when she went to meet him last time, but afterward, when Yayoi contacted him, he either didn’t pick up or said that it wasn’t convenient, so… ”
She shrugged. “You know.”
“He was threatened?” Sachin asked.
“Probably. Isn’t that something someone like Yang Qianqian would do?”
In regards to this matter, Rosiley despised Yang Qianqian with her whole body, from her hair to her toes.
Sachin’s face fell slightly. “If my assumption is right, the YanG will start with Yayoi’s parents.”
Hearing this, Rosiley’s face fell. “You mean they… ”
If they really started with Uncle and Auntie Seneca, then things could end up being irreparable.
Seeing that her whole face had turned darker, Sachin smiled helplessly and comforted her, “I’m just guessing, don’t overthink things.”
“But anything could happen. I can’t ignore it. I must tell Yayoi so that she can prepare for it.”
She really did what she said.
Sachin turned his head and looked at her running upstairs. He could not help laughing.
Her back view disappeared at the turn of the stairs, and that was when he finally looked away.
The TV was broadcasting other news. After a short glance, he turned it off.
His expression turned cold as he entered into deep thought for a moment. Then, he picked up the phone on the coffee table and made a call.
After the call connected, his thin lips opened slightly. “Morphy… ”
Early the next morning, Rosiley received a call from Yayoi while she was still sleeping.
“Rosiley, my parents pleaded guilty.”
The words from the other end of the line immediately shocked Rosiley’s sleepiness out of her body.
She jumped up from her bed. “Yayoi, what did you say? Say it again!”
“My parents pleaded guilty in the cell yesterday night.”
“How could this have happened?” Rosiley pulled her hair annoyedly. Then, she registered that Yayoi was now alone after something terrible like this had happened. She could not care to ask any more questions and just said in a hurry, “Wait for me, I’ll be right there.” Then, she hung up the phone.
