The night was incredibly sultry, and the lovers got lost in their passion, forgetting about their early morning filming schedule. After numerous rounds, they were too exhausted to leave bed. In a panic, they rushed to the set separately, hoping to avoid raising any suspicions among the crew. However, they both still received a stern glance from Stephen, hinting that he was onto them.
They both gave lame excuses for their lateness before giving sincere apologies. Stephen and director Tim overlooked them since they were only an hour late but not without sending a warning. With that, filming started for the day.
It was an outdoor scene, the sprawling backlot highlighted a mock hill school premises with green-strewn carpet grass. The sunny bright sky beckoned them to embrace the day’s pleasant weather.
The scene to be shot was George’s first appearance in the film. After changing into his costume, he walked out of his trailer prepared to shoot his first scene. The scene introduced George’s character, dressed in a simple neon pink vest and electric green baggy pants, strolling around the school field with his hands in his pockets. His choice of clothes drew the attention of other students, as their eyes were locked on his terrible taste in colors. His sense of fashion became a laughing stock, not just that, his juvenile behavior made it more amusing. The bit characters covered their mouths to gossip, but their expressions seemed to be a bit on edge for director Tim’s preference.
“Cut.” Director Tim stood up from his chair and walked over to the scene setting. “Don’t just place your hands on your mouth, give me that face of contempt.” The bit characters nodded and readied themselves to repeat the scene. Director Tim sat back and ordered the cameras to start rolling.
Meanwhile, Ivy was watching from the sideline. She had shot her solo scene earlier before the George and Anna arrived, so she had a bit of free time before she would film another scene for the day.
“Oh my, he looks good in those overwhelming colors,” Anna’s voice sounded behind her, and she turned to get a glimpse of her. Her eyes were keenly locked on George with a smile.
Ivy didn’t comment on what she said; instead, she continued gazing ahead. George finished the scene after the bit characters’ acting finally impressed director Tim. He collected the bottle of water from his assistant, and while he was gulping the bottle, Ivy saw a flash in his eyes that was directed towards Anna. She veered to look at Anna and she still saw the same subtle communication interchanging between them. Anna was winking at him while biting her lips.
Ivy pretended not to notice, averting her eyes away from the infatuation burning between them. Now she understood why Susan couldn’t keep her mouth shut about their flirtation.
“Ivy, are you thirsty?” Joan’s voice deviated her from her thoughts. Before she could reply, the small bottled water was stretched out to her.
“No, I’m not thirsty, thank you,” she gently pushed back the bottle. Joan’s face changed to a different shade, She didn’t expect her to outright reject it. “But it’s sunny and hot, you should feel thirsty.”
Ivy’s face twitched slightly. “But I don’t feel thirsty.”
“Oh, okay,” Joan’s jaws elevated with an awkward smile. Her face contorted, seemingly disappointed by her response.
Ivy’s mouth opened slightly to inquire of her insistence, but she decided against it. It was clear something was off with her. From the start of the day, Joan had been trying to make her drink water each time she concluded a scene, which seemed suspicious. She brushed the thoughts and focused on the new scene that was about to commence.
The shooting progressed till dusk. The crew disassembled their equipment to wrap filming for the day, while the actors prepared to return to their respective rooms at the hotel. Ivy had to use the restroom before leaving the set due to the uneasy feeling in her bladder, but as she approached the restroom, she heard indistinct sounds coming from inside. On coming closer to the door, the sounds became slightly audible.
Curiosity drove her to suddenly open the door to see who was inside. But to her surprise, the door flinging open jolted some certain individuals from their intense lip-wetting activity.
Ivy blinked to grasp what she just saw. ‘Kissing? In the restroom? So they couldn’t wait till they return to the hotel.’ Then it dawned on her that she just disrupted their flow of lust. “I’m sorry to disturb you two. Sorry, sorry, sorry.”
Anna clasped her lips as her eyes darted. Their relationship was supposed to be a secret, and now it’s been exposed. George, on the other hand, wasn’t pleased that Ivy was the one who caught them. If it were someone else, he wouldn’t bother, but Ivy she was his next aspiration after dumping Anna.
Ivy slowly closed the door behind her and made a U-turn. That was certainly not what she was expecting to see in the restroom…
Anna was worried Ivy might expose their relationship if she was the gossip type. “Ivy… wait.” Before she could take a step, George grabbed her hand.
“Let’s continue from where we stopped.” He pulled her to his chest and savaged her lips before she could protest.
Ivy already saw them. There was nothing he could do to change that.
Meanwhile, Ivy had gotten out of the building.
Edmond was already waiting for her in the car, he opened the door for her to get in and they drove off. As they left, a certain someone exited the building. She halted and typed into her phone’s keypad:
*I got some piece of information you could use to your advantage. I’ll send it over.*
After sending the text, she shoved her phone into her satchel hung on her shoulder and left the location.
