Nothing can frustrate a person more than having his or her commitment violated without official communication or knowing whether the individual intends to visit them.
Oscar and Anabella are on top of their bed. Sitting and staring intently at the door. Patiently awaiting for Marcella to come home as their hands are moving up and down on the top of their thighs. Anxiously waiting for Marcella to arrive.
As the arrows on the clock move continuously clockwise. Passing on every minute and every single digit on the clock as Anabella and Oscar are waiting for Marcella to arrive at the house. That is more impatient than they get as time goes.
“What is taking her so long for her to arrive here?” Oscar glances at the room’s watch and then returns his gaze to Anabella. “Right now, it is running almost 8:30 pm, and she has shown up to now.”
Anabella looks at Oscar and then pats his shoulder. “Have some patience, Oscar. She will come to us soon.”
“But what do you mean I should have some patience?” Oscar leaps into his feet from his bed and then turns. Looking directly at Anabella. ” She said she was going to come to us. But now there is no sign of her.”
“Be patient, Oscar; she will arrive here very soon.”
Brian is on the top of the bed looking at both Anabella and Oscar as they are arguing with each other. With a dull look on his face and agony feeling inside his heart. There is nothing more he can do than pray for the best outcome so that he can be able to meet up with his family again.
“Mom and Daddy, I need your help now. Where are you both of you?” Brian speaks to his inner thoughts with unsolved feelings revolving inside his heart. Looking at Oscar and Anabella as they talk to each other
“I think it is time for us to find a better way to help this kid instead of just staying here inside this hotel without doing anything,” Oscar says.
Anabella rolls up her eyes and sighs. “Okay, what are you suggesting now? Are you suggesting that we should go and look for his parents around the streets until we find them? That is rubbish!”
Oscar’s facial features harden. “We can’t keep on staying here for a long time. There are a lot of expenses and bills that we need to pay here to accommodate this place, and if we cannot find a better way to solve this matter as soon as we can,. We are going to run into another problem.”
“But Oscar-”
D. K-D. K-D. K-D. K
The sound of the doorknock cut Anabella’s words short. Leaving her paused as she looks at Oscar with bewilderment feeling inside her heart. Wondering who might be the person knocking on the door outside.
“It must be her, isn’t it?” Oscar asks. His ears perked with full attention.
Anabella shrugs. “I don’t know… Let me go and check it out first.”
Anabella stands up from her coach and goes towards the door to open it. Leaving Brian and Oscar staring at her from behind with contorted looks on their faces.
When Anabella arrives at the door, she then yanks the door handle open and sees Marcella standing with her bag in her hand with a brighter smile lining on her face.
“Hi, Anabella!” Marcella greets.
“Hi”
“Sorry for being late. Something came up at the house, and I had no choice but to stay until the end of the conflict.”
“Aw, that is terrible. Did your boss permit you as we talked over the phone?”
“Yeah, she only gave me two days for me to stay with you,” Marcella replies.
Anabella’s face lightens up with a broader smile. “Okay, come in and get inside.”
Anabella walks towards Marcella’s space and then grabs her bag from her hand. Assisting her to get inside the room while Marcella is walking, following her from behind.
“Marcella!”
Brian calls Marcella as soon as she arrives inside the room. This makes Marcella startling with bewilderment feeling inside her heart as she scans around the room, trying to check the person who is calling her.
As soon as Marcella sees Brian sitting on the top of the bed, she immediately slaps her hands over her mouth with her wide eyes open.
“Brian! You are alive,” Marcella exclaims. Parking curiosity inside Oscar and Anabella’s minds as they both look at her with contorted looks on their faces.
“Wait a sec. Do you know this kid?” Oscar asks.
Marcella responds with a nod. Leaving Anabella and Oscar stunned since they didn’t know the person who they thought was going to help them find the kid’s parents was the one who knew exactly the kid’s parents, while Brian is sitting on the top of the bed with his face lit up with so much eagerness inside his heart.
