Somehow, when she saw Nelson standing there and looking distant, she wanted to see him with emotions, whether it was anger, madness, lust, or anything.
Nelson raised an eyebrow, “I told you, your tricks won’t work on me.”
As she heard him, Callie leaned in closer as well, their lips were so close that they could have touched so easily. She grasped the distance, “That’s a shame.”
Nelson’s eyes darkened as he let go of her hand, “You don’t have to go.”
She played it too hard. Callie immediately stopped. She hadn’t been out in too long and didn’t want to let this opportunity pass.
“I’ll stop.”
Nelson didn’t say a word, striding out. The driver was waiting in the car and immediately stepped forward to open the door when he saw Nelson. Callie followed him since he didn’t say she couldn’t go.
At 7:30 p. m., the Porsche was parked in front of Kenker Hotel. Before getting out of the car, Nelson gave Callie a mask, “Put it on.”
Callie was reluctant, “If you don’t like my face, why didn’t you say it?”
Nelson didn’t explain, pushed the door, and got out of the car.
Dozens of luxury cars were parked in front of Kenker Hotel. The VIPs were coming and going, and there were women waiting in the lobby. When they saw their sugar daddy, they immediately walked up and brought him upstairs.
There was a middle-aged man waiting among them, seeing Nelson, he quickly approached. His eyes lingered for a moment on the masked woman behind Nelson before he said, “Mr. Oconnor, it’s been a while since you’ve been here.”
“How has business been lately?”
“Same as always, thanks to you, performance hasn’t gone down ever since.” The man took the wine from the waiter and handed it to Nelson, “I assure you, the mistake of the other day will not be repeated. Trevon was too cunning and took him away under our nose.”
They took the elevator all the way up. Callie stayed quiet in the back, analyzing these words.
Trevon had mentioned Kenker Hotel the other day, and it turned out that this was Nelson’s territory. Joaquin was taken away from here.
“Problem solved?” Nelson held the glass of wine and shook it without drinking it.
“Don’t worry, it’s taken care of. Caught some traitors and dealt with them.”
“Has Caden been here recently?”
“Caden’s a regular. He was here just last week with some friends.” The man said.
Nelson turned to look at Callie and asked for her bag. He’d packed something in her bag before they left the house.
“These people?” He fumbled for a group photo and showed it to the man.
The man scrutinized it for a moment and nodded, “Yes, they were here several times. And this guy was the most frequent,” he pointed at one of them.
Nelson said, “OK.”
Callie took back her bag just as the elevator stopped and the man asked respectfully, “Mr. Oconnor, what are you playing tonight? I’ll have someone arrange it.”
It was the top floor and most lively, men coming and going with women in their arms, and waiters carrying chips and suitcases in and out of the rooms.
Kenker Hotel had the largest casino in Ylosea, and this was it. The whole floor was designed in a circle, and it was said that a night here would cost tens of millions.
“Want to play?” Nelson suddenly turned his head and asked the dumbfounded Callie, his tone somewhat playful.
“I don’t have the money.”
