Chapter 521: The Outsider!

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-9-10

“What? He’s an outsider?!” Wesley and Beckett, who was lying on the bed, exclaimed.
No wonder they found Quentin so unfamiliar and his combat skills so extraordinary, only to suddenly participate in the Clans’ Big Game this time. They had been kept in the dark all along!
“Rodney and Eric Shepard, how dare you hide an outsider and deceive me!” Wesley shouted angrily.
“Chieftain, Master Beckett, there’s no need to be so agitated. I have a plan. Would you like to hear it?” Ahmed said with a sly smile.
“What plan? Speak quickly,” Wesley demanded.
“Quentin is very close to Aimee’s daughter. If we secretly kidnap her at midnight, with your wisdom, Chieftain, you would surely know what to do next,” Ahmed suggested with a wicked grin.
“Haha, Ahmed, that’s a brilliant plan. If this succeeds, you’ll be handsomely rewarded,” Wesley said, patting Ahmed on the shoulder.
“Father, I have a request,” Beckett suddenly spoke from the bed.
“What request? Speak,” Wesley asked, puzzled.
“Bring that girl to my bed!” Beckett said, licking his lips lecherously.
Wesley and Ahmed were speechless. Even with both legs broken, he still couldn’t behave.
However, Wesley had to agree with Beckett. After all, he was his son. Not only had they lost the Big Game, but Beckett’s legs were also crippled. Sending Cerys to him might comfort his wounded heart.
Meanwhile, at White Miao Village.
Quentin and his group finally brought Cerys back to the White Miao Base Camp and arrived at her family’s tent.
“Father, Mother, I’m back!” Cerys called out from outside the tent.
Hearing Cerys’s voice, Aimee and her husband quickly got up and rushed out of the tent to her side.
“Silly girl, where have you been?!” Aimee and her husband asked worriedly, noticing the tear stains on Cerys’s face, which made them even more distressed.
“Father, Mother, I’m sorry for making you worry. I’m fine.”
“Quentin and the others brought me back. It was my fault; please don’t blame Quentin,” Cerys reassured them.
“It’s good that you’re back. Don’t do anything foolish again. Come sit by the bed and rest,” Aimee said, guiding Cerys to sit by the bed and holding her in her arms to comfort her.
Henry approached Quentin with guilt and said, “Quentin, thank you for bringing Cerys back. I was hot-headed earlier and scolded you. Please don’t hold it against me.”
“Uncle, I understand your concern as a father. I didn’t take it to heart,” Quentin replied with a smile.
“That’s good. You should go back to your tent and rest early. We’ll gather again tomorrow.”
“I’ll go check on Cerys,” Henry said, feeling relieved that Quentin didn’t hold a grudge against him.
“Alright, Uncle. You should rest early too. Eileen and I will head back now,” Quentin said as he and Eileen got up to leave.
Watching Quentin’s departing figure, Cerys felt an indescribable sadness and reluctance in her heart.
“Daughter, what happened between you and Quentin? Where did you go just now?” Aimee asked.
“Mother, I went to the lake by Flower Sea Mountain.”
“Quentin didn’t do anything wrong. It was just my own wishful thinking that led to a misunderstanding,” Cerys said, bursting into tears and burying her face in Aimee’s chest. Aimee gently patted her back to comfort her.
“Silly girl, you’re so beautiful and kind-hearted. Are you afraid you won’t find a good man in Miao Territory?” Aimee consoled her.
“Mother, but I only love Quentin in this lifetime!” Cerys cried.
“Silly girl, if you like him so much, don’t give up. Keep pursuing him boldly.”
“When your father courted me, didn’t I reject him initially? But he persisted shamelessly until he won my heart,” Henry said with a laugh. Aimee glared at him as if to say, “You talk too much!”
“But Father, Mother, I’ve thought about it too. However, Quentin already has a wife and daughter!” Cerys said, now sobbing uncontrollably.
“What?! Quentin has a wife and daughter? Didn’t he say Eileen was his sister?” Aimee and Henry exclaimed in shock.
“It’s not Eileen. It’s his wife and daughter from his hometown in the southeast…” Cerys explained.
“Sigh! Silly girl, since he has a wife and daughter, don’t be so sad. In a few days, I’ll introduce you to a good man,” Aimee comforted her.
“Mother, I don’t want anyone else. I’m willing to wait for Quentin my whole life, even if…” Cerys’s voice trailed off as she cried herself to exhaustion. Her eyes slowly closed as she fell asleep.
Aimee and her husband sighed helplessly. They gently laid Cerys on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and wiped away her tears.
They didn’t blame Quentin. A man as outstanding as Quentin would naturally attract any young girl’s heart; their Cerys was no exception.
It was fate’s cruelty that their deeply affectionate Miao daughter met the right person at the wrong time.
Quentin was destined for greatness beyond Miao Territory; he would one day stand at the pinnacle of the world. But it would be their Cerys who would suffer for her unwavering love…
As night fell and silence enveloped the camp, everyone lay down to sleep. Occasionally, a few snores could be heard.
The Flower Sea Mountain became tranquil except for the crackling of the campfire burning brightly.
In the dead of night, several shadows stealthily infiltrated the White Miao Village and approached Cerys’s family tent.
