He warned me but I still disobeyed his order. And now I’m doing it again, all for the sake of making peace with my Alpha.
He’s treating me like an outsider and it’s upsetting. But Alpha Deron’s message ended up pulling me out of the mansion and down to Red Wood pack.
He told me he has a solution to the problem between Alpha Argon and I.
Without telling the Alpha where I was heading to, I left the mansion and journeyed over to Alpha Deron’s mansion.
There I met both father and daughter, waiting for me.
“Welcome, Beta. We have been expecting you,” Alpha Deron welcomed with a grin, approaching me.
“Good day to you, Alpha,” I greeted with respect, wondering what solution he has for me.
He carefully placed his hand across my shoulder, guiding me into his home, and straight for the living room.
Estelle followed us from behind, cat walking like a true model. If Alpha Argon was present to see her in action, he’d think she lied about her pregnancy, even if it’s real.
Both father and daughter offered me a seat and told the servants to serve me whatever I want, but I didn’t have any time for this special treatment.
“Look, Alpha Argon doesn’t know I’m here. Can you just tell me what to do to make peace with him before he finds out that I’m at your place? ” I pointed out, checking my phone for any calls or messages from him.
On hearing my worries, Alpha Deron chuckled like it was funny, taking his seat right next to me.
“Relax, Beta. You don’t have to be in a hurry. I did say I know the solution to this problem, but it can only be attended to if you are patient. Do you get me? ” He smirked.
The way he simpered, sent a warning trigger to my brain at once.
“Why do I feel like this so-called solution will also benefit you?” I asked, dimming my eyes at Deron.
All of a sudden, both father and daughter came out laughing, before confirming my hunch.
“You aren’t wrong, Beta. You are indeed correct. This solution will benefit us both, if we get rid of the obstacle in our path.”
“And what’s that?” I asked, lifting my brow.
That’s when Estelle answered, standing before me, ” The wolfless wretch that is trying to take my Argon away from me, of course.”
“Wait, Brielle?” I was stunned.
“Now you get it, son. The wolfless orphan that calls herself Brielle. She’s our problem.” Alpha Deron chuckled.
This was outrageous!
I immediately got to my feet, understanding where they were heading with this.
“I know what you’re trying to do here, but I won’t be a part of it. You have a score to settle with Brielle and you feel all the problems you’re facing is because of her. Well let me pulp your bubbles…”
I drew a way from them, pointing at both fatyet and daughter. “You are the ones who caused whatever problem you’re facing because of your actions towards my Alpha. If you had helped him when he needed your assistance, you wouldn’t be on his black list,” I pointed out, so they’d get it.
But both they weren’t ready to listen. They were bent on making Brielle the culprit.
“Stop defending a woman who has no value in that mansion. If she had signed those divorce papers and didn’t persuade my Argon to leave her to fulfill a stupid promise made to his death old man, trust me… None of us would be facing this! ” Estelle raised her voice, snapping her fingers at me.
“Can’t you see that she’s the main problem here? You took your time to investigate my pregnancy just to help your Alpha, but when you told him about it, he made you an enemy.”
“No he didn’t. He’s just angry, that’s all.”
“Is that so? He’s just angry,” Estelle mimicked, swaying her head at me.
“But the moment Brielle gave him her suggestion, he listened like a fool. Doesn’t that sound like a thing you usually do? Isn’t Brielle stealing your place in Argon’s life?” Estelle questioned, smirking at me.
I didn’t want to listen to their words. They are trying to manipulate me into thinking like them.
“That’s right, Beta. Seems the Ex-luna is trying to wipe you out completely. She’s not just taking my daughter’s place but yours as well.”
“Thats not true. You’re only making things up! And I thought you called me over for something reasonable, but you’re just trying to get me see through your eyes!” I glared at them, upset with their actions.
They just wasted my time and made me journey down to this place for nothing.
Alpha Deron chuckled, crossing his arms at me. “You can think whatever you want, Jerome. But I’m sure you can see it clearly with your own two eyes.”
I swayed my head at him, slowly dragging my steps back.
“Slowly, Argon would start giving all important works to Brielle. He’ll forget about you in an instant. Just open your eyes and see for yourself, Jerome,” Estelle hinted, giggling at me.
But I wasn’t going to listen to their nonsense. This is just a greedy father and desperate daughter trying to find a place in my Alpha’s life, now that he’s ten times wealthier than before.
I will not be fooled.
“You haven’t nothing for me. You just wasted my precious time. Have a good day, ” I said, turning around to leave.
“Be observant, Beta. And when you do see the truth, don’t hesitate to come back to us. Our doors are wide open to a friend in need, ” Alpha Deron said from behind, showing his fake concern.
Quickly, I left their home and journeyed back to Wolf Crest pack.
“They know nothing! All they want to do is use me in getting back in Alpha Argon’s good book. I won’t allow it.”
I kept driving, trying to take out their words from my head. But come to think of it… They aren’t wrong about one thing though.
I’ve been seeing signs of my Alpha giving some of my works to Brielle, but this was during the time he was facing a massive issue with finances and the company.
There were some works Alpha Argon gave to Brielle, but he told me it wasn’t that important.
I listened to him, since he’s the boss.
And what about the time Brielle suggested King Damien should take part in the task? I was against that, including Alpha Argon. But when everything worked out for us, he now listens to her every words.
And Estelle wasn’t wrong about that day when I gave Alpha Argon the pregnancy result. He roared at me with so much anger but was calm when he saw Brielle.
He even listened to her idea and carried it out!
That… That made me mad! I was so upset when he agreed to her decision!
I bet Alpha Deron noticed my rage at that point and felt we both share a common enemy.
“We don’t! Brielle is just there for some period until the Alpha marries Estelle! She’s not trying to take my place!” I pondered on, trying hard to wipe any negative thoughts from my mind.
I won’t allow Estelle and her father to recruit me into their group.
They can’t deceive me.

Two days after that meeting, I was at the company, cross-checking some important documents.
A knock came on my door, and that’s when I noticed Alpha Argon standing outside my office, looking calm.
It’s been a while I saw that face expression. I knew he’d come around one day.
“Alpha, I thought you said you’d be staying at the mansion today?” I got to my feet to welcome him.
He drew closer to my table, responding to my question, ” Yes, I was going to stay, but when you made mention of those important documents meant to be sent to our top partners, I felt I should come over and see how it’s going.”
“Are you scared? ” I chuckled, finding it funny.
Alpha Argon just smirked at me and said, “Not at all. But I want someone to check it out and make sure it’s good to go.”
“Check it out? But I’m already doing that,” I notified him, pointing at the documents before me.
“Oh! You’re already attending to it? Um… That’s good. But…”
I noticed how he kept looking at the door then at the table. His left hand reaching for his back neck, like one who was troubled.
“Is everything okay, Alpha? ” I asked with concern.
“Yeah everything is fine.”
“Are you sure? Is there a problem you need me to handle?” I asked.
But he denied having any problem, smiling at me instead.
“Can I have some of those documents? You can handle the rest, ” He asked, taking some into his hold without waiting for my response.
This felt weird.
What’s wrong with him today?
He left my office with the documents and this only pushed me to find out where he was going to with those files.
“He said something about giving it to someone. Is that where he’s heading? ”
Curious, I followed my Alpha from behind and saw him entering his office. When I got closer to the door and peeped through the slight opening, I was stunned to see Brielle sitting on his seat!
“What is going?! What’s she doing here?!”
My answers were gotten when I saw my Alpha giving Brielle the documents he took from me, persuading her to check it out.
I was astonished.
“You understand this things a lot. Why don’t you check these documents and tell me if they’re good to go.”
“Is this why you brought me here?” Brielle asked, crossing her arms at Alpha Argon.
But my Alpha just shrugged at it, praising her skills. “I’ve seen what you can do, that’s why I’m begging you to help me out. I trust your judgment.”
“I’m flattered,” She giggled, taking one of the documents to check.
When I saw this, my whole body shivered. Alpha Deron amd Estelle’s words began to ring in my head.
“This can’t be happening. Is Alpha Argon planning on giving my place to Brielle?”
