ESTELLE
Today is my sweetheart’s birthday.
I can never forget his special day.
Knowing how troubled my love must be, I decided I was going to plan something special to take away all his stress.
“It’s going to be like old times. I’ll make him forget all his problems, ” I sighed, cuddling myself in bed with Argon’s photo in my hand.
It was the morning already and I needed to make plans for my darling Argon.
I am set to do anything to bring him out of this dullness.
Getting out of bed, I hurried into my bathroom and got myself ready. I immediately raced out of my room and into the living room, looking for my father.
I wanted his help in making Argon’s day special, but he wasn’t home. One of the guards informed me that he left for the office already.
But it wasn’t a big deal.
Besides, I’ve been planning Argon’s day without him before. “I can handle it on my own. All I need to do is sit and think of the perfect surprise for him. But what can I do?”
I hummed, thinking of something different.
His last Birthdays, I’ve been throwing a special party at different fancy restaurants with only the two of us at the VIP top, and sometimes a private moment at a hotel to celebrate his or my birthday.
“Maybe I’ll just plan another surprise at a hotel. It will just be the two of us, drinking and getting all romantic,” I blushed naughtily, missing his body already.
I can’t count the number of days we’ve been apart from each other, but it almost feels like an eternity to me.
“I miss you my sweet wolf. And I don’t want to call you yet. As soon as I’m done with my arrangements, I’ll contact you, ” I planned, kissing his photo, which I still held on to.
With my plan in place, I contacted one of the hotels here in Red wood pack and ordered that they get the most expensive room set for Argon and I.
“I don’t want a large cake, but a small size cake. Decorate the room with flowers and let there be candles. You’ll only light it when I give the command, understood?” I ordered the manager, heading up the stairs to get ready.
“And please, it should be better than last year’s own. I know it was nice, but I want the best, ” I said, stepping into my room and pulling out one of my pretty hot dress.
“Understood Ma’am. We’ll let you know when it’s set,” The manager assured me.
Pleased, I ended the call, finally getting myself ready for this day.
I couldn’t wait to hold my Argon in my arms. I have missed him like crazy.
“Now I can call him, ” I said, taking out my phone in excitement.
But suddenly, I paused.
“No, it’s too soon. Let that manager call back before I contact Argon. I’m sure it won’t take that long. And besides, he must be occupied with work. I don’t want to distract my love.”
And in the next twenty minutes, after I’ve gotten all dressed for my sweetheart’s day, I got a call from the manager, informing me that the room was set for Argon and I.
“Splendid! Now wait for my call when it’s time to light the candle.”
“Noted, ma’am,” The manager said.
I ended the call and immediately contacted Argon, patiently waiting for him to answer. I stood at the mirror, admiring my beauty, when he finally picked.
“Hello?”
“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday toooooooo Yooooou!” I sang, cheering for Argon.
“Oh, um… Thank you Estelle. I appreciate your wishes,” He said, sounding odd.
It’s not like then when he’d cheer back after hearing my wishes. With all that’s happening, my Argon was sounding like an old man who has been caged from the world for years.
Poor baby.
“I’m so happy for you my love. Happy birthday,” I wished, walking up to the bed to grab my purse.
“Now, before you say anything like I’m not in the mood or I’m busy, just know that I won’t listen to all that nonsense, and secondly…” I bit down on my lower lip, leaning close to the wall. “I’ve gotten your day all set. It’s going to be sweet, better than last year, ” I said, giving him a hint already.
When Argon heard this, he chuckled lightly and said, ” Thanks Estelle, but I don’t think this year will be possible.”
“Baby, I told you already. I won’t take no for an answer. We are going to celebrate your day at…”
“I can’t, Estelle. I’m not celebrating my birthday at any hotel, ” He interrupted, objecting to the plans.
And this made me feel upset.
“Oh, no hotel? Okay, that’s fine. Tell me how you wish to celebrate it and…”
“There’s no need for that, Estelle. Someone else has made preparations for it, ” He interrupted again, leaving me surprised.
“Somebody? But I thought we agreed that we’ll be the only ones planning our day? Was… Was it Jerome who made the plans?” I asked, unable to maintain my smile.
But that smile came crumbling into shock when Argon revealed who was planning his birthday.
“No, it’s Brielle.”
“What?!” I exclaimed, shocked to hear that wretch’s name from his mouth.
“I gave her the go ahead to plan this year’s party for me, ” He shared, not bothered one bit.
Since when did he start giving her rights to do things for him?
And on his birthday?!
I was shaken by this, listening to Argon talk about Brielle’s plans and how she has already made a small arrangement in the living room for him.
“It’s not a grand party though. She just felt only those in the household and friends can come. And you know the situation on ground, so… I can’t call anyone except you. Will… Will you come? ” He invited me.
My whole body shook at this invitation.
I can’t believe what I’m hearing!
The same woman who caused our problem is the same person Argon gave permission to throw him a small party?!
I stood there, feeling my hand going tight around my phone. My wolf strength was slowly coming out, almost cracking my phone, but… I held my rage back.
“Estelle?”
“Yes, Argon. I’ll be there. Just tell me the time and I’ll come over, ” I agreed to the invitation, facing the mirror with anger all over me.
Argon thanked and shared the time, then he ended the call.
The moment he cut the line, I tossed my phone to the ground, puffing out in anger. And just like that, I came bursting out my rage, yelling out loud to the mirror.
“NO!” I roared, sending my fist right into the mirror and smashing it completely.
“This is supposed to be our day! Why did he allow her to organize his party?! Why Argon?!” I kept shouting, almost trashing my room, but two maids came by to know what was wrong.
“What happened, ma’am?”
“GET LOST!!” I sparked out, flashing my eyes at them.
In fear, they ran off without hesitating.
“My plans have been ruined. I wanted Argon and I to be happy alone. Now I have to cancel all the arrangements I made.”
I was bittered.
This has never happened before.
But… Why did he allow that woman to organize his birthday? I thought he said he warned her never to do so again?
“Why did he allow Brielle to plan his birthday celebration?” I wondered in confusion, unable to wipe my anger off.
