Chapter 55: The War God Makes His Move!

Kayden turned towards the voice and saw Jasper and Quentin, their faces bruised and swollen, along with several muscular men standing at the hotel entrance.
Jasper couldn’t swallow this bitter pill. He had to have revenge! Absolutely had to!
Vengeance for every slight – that was the real Jasper.
Being forced to kneel in the hotel, compelled by the woman he coveted! Who could stomach such humiliation? Not just someone powerful like him, but even an ordinary person would find it unbearable.
So, he had to teach Kayden a lesson, a brutal one at that!
“Fuck off!” Kayden uttered two single words and walked straight ahead. He needed to explain to Georgia why he was meeting Sariah; he had no patience for dealing with a waste like Jasper!
But if he wouldn’t engage them, they’d force the issue. Some people just insist on walking into the line of fire.
Kayden had barely taken a few steps when the brawny men surrounded him, blocking his path.
These men were truly massive. Standing in front of him, they were like mountains obscuring his view.
“Fuck off?” Jasper sauntered towards Kayden, one hand in his pocket, his face contorted with rage. “You should know your place. Who are you to tell me to fuck off? Now, Erika’s not here, Coleman’s not here. Who’s going to help you now, huh? Man, you’ve messed with me, made me lose so much face. You’re as good as dead!”
Kayden looked back at Jasper. Even now, Jasper thought Coleman had helped him because of Erika. How pitiful that Beckett had such a son.
“Are you going to fight me?” Kayden looked up at the burly men.
Beckett sneered, “Isn’t that obvious? Beat him. Break his arms and legs. I want him in a wheelchair for life.”
Quentin immediately pulled out his phone, opening a live streaming app. With a grin, he announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, don’t miss this! Watch how this fool kneels before Mr. Robinson and begs for forgiveness. I’m Quentin of the Byers family in Hiphia. If you like what you see, double-tap to follow!”
“Fine then,” Kayden said, not in the mood to waste time. Without another word, he raised his fists and struck each man once.
Three punches later, the three men lay stiff on the ground.
“Holy shit!” Quentin’s eyes widened in terror.
What had just happened? He hadn’t seen a thing.
Jasper had just lit his cigarette and raised his head in a pose.
As he looked up, he saw the three burly men lying on the ground!
“What the hell?!” Jasper exclaimed involuntarily, his cigarette falling to the ground.
By now, Kayden was right in front of him. Jasper’s eyes bulged as he stammered, “Y-y-you!”
“You can’t hurt me! I’m Beckett’s son! If you lay a hand on me, my father won’t let you off!”
Just one word from Kayden could leave Beckett penniless and dead!
Kayden said nothing, just staring intently at Jasper.
Jasper’s eyes widened in shock. Was he facing a demon? How could anyone have such terrifying eyes?
He lowered his head abruptly, feeling a deathly stillness spreading around him.
It was an unprecedented fear. In Kayden’s eyes, Jasper seemed to see countless withered bones. What kind of expression was that? What experiences could produce such a horrifying look?
Jasper’s heart trembled; his whole body shook.
He was now terrified that Kayden might suddenly open a bloody maw and swallow him whole.
Kayden’s hands had taken the lives of at least a million enemies, carrying countless lost souls!
His status as a War God came from his bloodthirsty nature. Jasper was nothing but a useless coward; how could such trash withstand this murderous aura?
“Go back and tell Beckett, I’ll pay him a personal visit,” said Kayden.
With that, he left the hotel entrance.
Jasper, his legs turned to jelly, collapsed to his knees.
As for Quentin, he had long since vanished.

Georgia returned home, furious. She never imagined Kayden would do something so outrageous, agreeing in front of her to spend the night with another woman at a hotel.
She had waited for Kayden for three years, like a widow keeping vigil. And now he did something so unfaithful! This bastard had truly broken Georgia’s heart.
“Kayden, you scoundrel! All you do is brag, and now you’re such a lecher. Seeing a beautiful woman and rushing off to sleep with her! Go on then, go and never come back, you bastard!” Georgia cursed as she angrily went upstairs.
She didn’t even know why she was so angry!
Entering the room, she saw Leah on the sofa watching TV, munching on a bag of chips. Seeing Georgia return, Leah greeted her, “Georgia, you’re back!”
Georgia didn’t answer. Leah asked again, “By the way, where’s Kayden?”
The mere mention of Kayden angered her. She snapped, “He’s dead out there!”
“Crunch!” Leah had just bitten into a chip. Hearing this news, she froze.
“Georgia, what did you say? Kayden’s dead?” Leah’s heart raced. Kayden was a skilled fighter; he had taken down those men so fast that night. How could he possibly be dead? Was it an assassination?
“No, Georgia, tell me how he died?” Leah stood up, asking like an idiot.
Georgia sighed, “He’s not dead. Go look out the window and see when he comes back!”
Georgia had left in such anger; she believed Kayden would definitely return. When he did, she’d teach him a lesson. See if he dared to misbehave outside again.
Leah really did go to watch by the window. After about ten minutes, Kayden returned.
“Georgia, Kayden’s back!” Leah called out excitedly.
Georgia sat on the sofa, snorting and crossing her arms with a disdainful expression. She was considering what to say when Kayden came in.
But suddenly Leah said, “A cool-looking woman stopped him!”
Just as Kayden reached the community gate, a woman dressed head to toe in denim stopped him. Most women would look old-fashioned in denim shirt and jeans, but this woman was different.
She had maximized the beauty of denim, exuding a cool charm different from the soft beauty of most women.
“Mr. Scott!” The woman grinned and asked, “Do you remember me?”
Of course Kayden remembered who she was. Lacey, the woman who had authenticated the Double Phoenix Plays with Dragon Pearl at Georgia’s wedding. She was the daughter of Israel, the Antique King, and an insider in the jewelry world.
“The Double Phoenix Plays with Dragon Pearl belongs to my wife. It’s not for sale!” Kayden responded coldly and turned to go upstairs.
