The Revitalization Nine Needles, a technique created by Seclela’s divine doctor! This needle method was said to have the power to bring the dead back to life.
Legend had it that someone once used the Revitalization Nine Needles to revive a person who had been dead for two hours, essentially snatching a life from Satan’s grasp. However, after saving that life, the acupuncturist died!
It was said that if you helped someone cheat death, Satan would claim your life as payment.
Since then, no one dared to learn this strange needle technique, and it was lost over a thousand years ago.
Supposedly, it took at least thirty years of practice to master this method.
By practice, of course, they meant self-cultivation. Traditional Seclela medicine emphasized personal refinement; only those who cultivated themselves were suitable to learn traditional Seclela medical arts! Naturally, someone like Stanley, who pursued fame and fortune, wasn’t fit for it.
Kayden narrowed his eyes and asked, “How do you know about the Revitalization Nine Needles?”
Sariah choked up a bit, blinking her beautiful eyes as she explained, “This is actually an old ailment of mine. I don’t know when it started. For the past two years, I’ve been to hospitals big and small, both at home and abroad, but no one had ever seen my condition. Later, I found a traditional physician who said I had a rare meridian entanglement syndrome. The only way to cure it completely was with the Revitalization Nine Needles! This technique can stop meridian flow, allowing tangled meridians to self-correct. But since this method has been lost for nearly a thousand years, the doctor could only use medication for temporary relief. So he sends me medicine every month.”
“I… I never thought I’d be so lucky to meet you! You’re truly a miracle doctor of our time,” Sariah said gratefully.
Kayden coldly smiled. “It’s just my duty.”
“Your duty?” Sariah chuckled softly, then bowed deeply to Kayden. “Regardless, thank you, Dr. Scott! You’re the true Medical Sage!”
“Medical Sage” – Sariah had given Kayden the highest praise. This title silenced the watching crowd.
Stanley was the most shocked of all. His face turned black, his expression as ugly as if he’d eaten dirt.
His feet began to tremble, and he started to retreat into the crowd.
The earlier bet was haunting him; he needed to leave!
At his age, he couldn’t bear to kneel. Who with any sense of honor would want to lose face like that?
Just as he was about to turn and leave, Kayden’s gaze suddenly fell upon him.
The moment their eyes met, Stanley froze in place, his mind buzzing.
“Professor Stanley! Haven’t you forgotten something?” Kayden asked abruptly.
Stanley’s face fell. He looked around, then grudgingly snorted, “You just got lucky, accidentally curing Ms. Faulkner’s illness. Revitalization Nine Needles? I’ve never heard of such nonsense.”
Even at this point, he remained stubborn!
Truly an unyielding old fossil!
Hearing Stanley’s words, Sariah became displeased. She scolded him, “Professor Stanley, you study modern medicine, so you wouldn’t understand. But I advise you to research our country’s traditional medical culture when you have time! Seclela medicine is profound, with a 5000-year history. The Revitalization Nine Needles is a divine technique, capable of clearing meridians and curing all ailments. Perhaps it’s inexplicable to what you’ve learned, but please don’t view Seclela medicine through your vulgar lens.”
Stanley, chastised by Sariah, appeared even more diminished.
The onlookers began criticizing Stanley too. Gritting his teeth, he snorted, “I don’t believe anyone can do anything to me!”
With that, he waved his hand dismissively and strode out, putting on an air of importance.
Just then, Georgia walked towards Kayden! She had intended to go home, but worried that Kayden might not return, she decided to come back and check.
Kayden was her husband, after all. She couldn’t bear to see him leave with someone else! Though Kayden wasn’t particularly outstanding, for a moment just now, he had suddenly become quite popular!
Seeing Kayden surrounded again, Georgia anxiously asked, “Kayden, what’s wrong?”
As she spoke, her eyes scanned Kayden up and down, checking for any injuries.
“Nothing’s wrong,” Kayden replied calmly.
Sariah looked at Georgia, then said admiringly, “Ms. Adams, you are very fortunate to be married to such a capable man as Mr. Scott. It’s enviable!”
This was the first time since Georgia’s marriage that someone had said she’d married well.
But Georgia didn’t feel proud. Instead, hearing it from this woman made her feel strange.
“Thank you,” Georgia said, feeling uncomfortable standing next to this woman.
Feeling uneasy, she grabbed Kayden’s hand and said, “Let’s go, Kayden. I suddenly remembered I have something to do.”
Before they could turn to leave, Sariah called out to Kayden, “Mr. Scott, could you come to the Imperial Suite at the Fcon Hotel tonight?”
The crowd gasped again, looking at Kayden with intense envy.
He had a beautiful wife by his side, and now Sariah was interested in him, inviting him to her hotel room at night. This was the peak of life, the envy of countless men.
Georgia was stunned. At the previous gathering, Quentin had mentioned that if Sariah took a liking to someone, she’d ask them to spend the night with her. Georgia had thought it was just gossip, but now it seemed true, and worse, it was happening right in front of her!
This was a blatant challenge to her!
This woman was terrifying!
She choked up and said angrily, “He can’t come. We have plans tonight.”
Sariah’s face showed a hint of disappointment. “That’s a shame!”
“No!” Kayden said firmly and decisively. “I can come.”
Kayden’s words made Georgia’s head spin. She doubted if she’d heard correctly, or if Kayden had misspoken.
“Kayden, what did you say?” Georgia felt increasingly upset. She was angry.
How could this guy agree to spend the night with another woman right in front of his wife? What was wrong with him?
Kayden looked at Georgia and said, “Don’t worry, I just have some questions to ask Ms. Faulkner.”
“Pfft!” Someone couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Who would believe he’d just be asking questions when alone in a room with such a beautiful woman? Kayden couldn’t even lie convincingly.
“You’re shameless! Don’t come home tonight.” With that, Georgia let go of Kayden’s hand and stormed out of the hall, fuming.
Seeing Georgia leave, Kayden didn’t immediately chase after her. Instead, he said to Sariah, “Tonight, I’ll be there without fail!”
Sariah smiled slightly. “I’ll be waiting.”
After Kayden left, everyone dispersed, gossiping.
When Kayden reached the entrance, Georgia had already driven away. He just caught sight of the car’s exhaust.
With no choice, Kayden began to walk home.
He had only taken a few steps when suddenly someone called out to him.
“Kayden, you’re finally out!” It was a familiar yet annoying voice.
