The roar sounded like a thunderclap on a clear day, and many people near the door heard Jasper’s furious shout.
With the sound of his roar, Jasper stepped forward, each step commanding as if he were an emperor looking down upon all. His followers, led by Quentin, quickly joined him, amplifying his imposing presence. The onlookers also gathered, drawn to the commotion.
Georgia stepped in front of Kayden without hesitation, standing her ground as she demanded, “Jasper, what did you say?”
Jasper glared fiercely at Georgia, pointing at Kayden as he enunciated each word, “Make him kneel!”
Turning to Kayden, he added, “You loser, I didn’t expect you to have the guts to sneak in this party.”
‘Sneak in?’
Kayden grunted. His presence here was a significant boost for Coleman. It was astonishing that this clueless fool would describe his arrival as sneaking in.
Seeing Kayden silent, Jasper continued, “Why aren’t you speaking? Afraid of being thrown out? Let me tell you, if you want to leave here in one piece, you better kneel down now. Otherwise, I guarantee you won’t be able to get out.”
“Jasper, it’s like you’re losing now, right?” Georgia said to Jasper.
Jasper’s face twitched violently, and he sneered, “I lost?”
“Did I lose?” He turned to Quentin, who was standing behind him.
“Mr. Robinson never loses. It’s him who lost.” Quentin laughed.
Quentin pointed at Kayden, turning things around with a smirk.
Georgia was furious, stamping her foot and arguing, “We’re already inside. Isn’t that a win?”
Jasper scoffed, “Is that so? Just because you’re inside doesn’t mean you can stay. Eighty percent of the people here are my acquaintances. As long as I want, you won’t be able to stay.”
“You’re being unreasonable and bullying us. Kayden, let’s go.” Georgia grabbed Kayden’s hand, but they were quickly blocked by two people.
Jasper sneered, “Seems like you’ve forgotten something that still needs to be done.”
“What do you want?” Georgia snapped, glaring at Jasper.
Jasper’s expression darkened, and he coldly said, “I said he must kneel. Do you think I’m joking?”
“Don’t push your luck.” Georgia shouted angrily.
“Push my luck?” Jasper stared at Georgia. “You think if it weren’t for my father, you could cooperate with Atkinson Group? Believe me, one call from me can bankrupt your Adams Group instantly.”
Jasper’s words were bold and confident, clearly heard by the crowd.
“Adams Group? Is that the woman from the Adams family who’s the most beautiful? No wonder she’s so good-looking.”
“I remember the Adams family’s assets aren’t even fifty million. How did she get in here?”
“Yeah, a small family like the Adams family shouldn’t be able to get in. Could she have sneaked in?”
Georgia’s heart raced, and she looked flustered.
“Don’t worry, I’m here.” The calm voice echoed in her ear again.
Kayden stepped in front of Georgia and asked Jasper, “So, why don’t you call your father now to see if he has the authority to end the cooperation?”
“Really?” Jasper pulled out his phone and casually called Beckett. The call went unanswered, but Jasper remained unfazed. “My dad didn’t answer, but your Adams family is doomed. I’m not exaggerating when I say I can end the Adams family whenever I want. You have some time to consider. If you kneel, I’ll let you go. If not, when my father calls, you won’t even have time to think.”
With that, Jasper lit up a cigarette with a smug look.
Kayden remained calm, pulling out his own phone to call Fletcher.
The call was answered quickly. Kayden said in a commanding tone, “Ask Beckett if he still wants his son. If not, he should kick him out from today.” After the words, he ended the call directly.
Quentin laughed, pointing at Kayden, “Come on. Can’t you come up with a new trick? How many times have you used this trick?”
Jasper, however, remained calm and raised his hand to interrupt Quentin, asking, “I’m curious, who did you just call?”
“Fletcher Atkinson.” Kayden replied calmly.
When the name were spoken, Jasper burst into laughter and pointed at Kayden. “Are you kidding me? You called Fletcher Atkinson? Did you all hear that?”
The crowd erupted in laughter.
“He called Fletcher Atkinson? Who does he think he is?”
Fletcher Atkinson was the head of the leading family in the Southwest, a name that commanded reverence and awe. This shabby-looking guy claimed to have called him and spoke to him in a commanding tone.
To the crowd, Kayden appeared as a complete joke, a unique kind of fool.
Georgia, standing aside, felt embarrassed by the mocking looks and couldn’t bear to look up. Kayden had obtained the invitation to get in here from Old Mr. Vincent, and now he claimed to have called the head of the Atkinson family and ordered him around.
Fletcher Atkinson was a big deal in Seclela, reputed to have been a general for decades.
Who did he think he was? It was absurd, utterly humiliating.
“Kayden, stop talking,” Georgia said, gripping Kayden’s arm tightly, her nails digging into his flesh.
Kayden remained composed, looking at Jasper. “What? Do you think I’m joking?”
Jasper forced himself not to laugh, saying, “Not really. Just wondering about your connections. By the way, what’s your relationship with Fletcher? A friend?”
Kayden shook his head slightly. “He used to be my subordinate.”
At those words, everyone couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.
“This guy is fu*king crazy. Fletcher is his subordinate? The head of the leading family in the Southwest is his subordinate? Seriously?”
“I’m laughing my ass off.”
Everyone around mocked Kayden without exception.
But Kayden remained indifferent. The ridicule didn’t bother him. Their narrow-mindedness was not worth his concern.
Georgia was furious, grabbing Kayden and saying, “Kayden, I told you not to…”
“I’m not boasting. They can choose not to believe me, but you must believe me. If not, just wait and see.” Kayden said, his eyes full of determination.
Just then, Jasper’s phone rang.
“My dad is calling.” Jasper raised his phone screen, “You still have a chance to kneel.”
“After you finish the call, it will be you kneeling.” Kayden responded calmly.
“Then I’ll make sure you’re convinced,”Jasper said.
He answered the call, but before he could say anything, a furious voice on the other end roared, “You brat, are you causing trouble again? If you want to live, get your ass back here immediately. You have ten minutes.”
The call ended abruptly, showing Beckett’s anger.
Jasper was stunned, looking at his phone. He quickly regained his composure. He couldn’t understand why his father was so furious. ‘Could it really be because of that guy? Impossible! Was he such a fool. I can’t be one too.’
With so many people watching, Jasper had to keep up appearances. He suppressed his anger and said to the phone, “Dad, I suggest you cancel the cooperation with Adams Group. Georgia’s husband is so arrogant, daring to offend me.”
“Okay, I’ll be back shortly.”
This part of the performance was indeed impressive.
After hanging up, Jasper’s face quickly darkened, and he sternly commanded, “Kayden, kneel.”
“You have three seconds. If you don’t kneel, I guarantee you won’t get out of here.”
Jasper’s words were bold and imposing. As soon as he finished speaking, his followers surrounded Kayden, their eyes gleaming menacingly.
“Three!”
“Kneel!”
As he counted down, the crowd’s momentum grew, and they pulled out their phones to record the moment Kayden would kneel.
“Two!”
“Kneel!”
The pressure intensified, and people around took out their phones to capture the moment.
“One!”
“You bastard!”
Suddenly, before the word “kneel” could even be completed, a commanding and fierce voice cut through the air, like a roaring tiger, carrying a devastating force.
