Chapter 45 Restless!

Before anyone could react, Kayden pulled out his phone and directly dialed Coleman.
The call connected, and before Coleman could say a word, Kayden commanded, “Prepare two invitations for me. I will be attending your family’s centennial celebration in three days.”
With that, he hung up the phone without any hesitation, the entire process swift and efficient.
Kayden’s intention wasn’t to show off in front of everyone, but rather to see that woman, Sariah Faulkner.
Finally, Jasper couldn’t hold back his laughter any longer. “Are you all sure this idiot is really cured? It seems like he’s worse off than ever.”
Quentin, hearing Jasper’s ridicule, quickly chimed in, “It’s hilarious! When you made that call just now, wasn’t your phone screen black? This idiot is too funny.”
As the two mocked him, everyone else burst into laughter.
“I’ve seen people put on airs, but never like this. He said he had dinner with Coleman Vincent? Ridiculous.”
“Oh my god, that’s so funny.”
Georgia was too embarrassed to stay any longer, feeling that bringing Kayden here tonight was a mistake.
“Let’s go home,” Georgia’s face turned red with anger as she grabbed Kayden’s hand and started to leave.
Kayden paused for a moment, then glanced around the table and asked, “What? You don’t believe me?”
“Of course we believe you,” Jasper stood up, pounding his chest with exaggerated confidence. “There’s no way we wouldn’t believe you. I definitely believe you’ll be there. But how about we make a little bet? If you don’t show up at the Fcon Hotel in three days, you’ll have to kneel before me and call me ‘Daddy’ in front of everyone. How about that?”
“He’s crazy!” Georgia snapped at Jasper. “He won’t bet with you.”
This was a bet on Kayden’s dignity, and Jasper was clearly trying to humiliate him.
If Kayden lost face, Georgia would be implicated as well.
To her surprise, Kayden responded firmly, “Fine. But if I do get in, you’ll kneel before me.”
“Deal!” Jasper said, laughing heartily.
Georgia felt like she was about to lose her mind because of Kayden.
As they stormed out of the Imperial Hotel, Georgia, seething with anger, said, “Kayden, are you out of your mind? How many times have I told you not to speak in situations like this? Why don’t you ever listen?”
“They were bullying you, and I won’t allow anyone to bully my wife,” Kayden said righteously.
Georgia felt a mix of frustration and a bit of amusement. Though she was angry, she couldn’t deny that Kayden’s intentions were good-he simply couldn’t stand seeing her get bullied.
She sighed, “But you shouldn’t lie either. Do you even know Coleman Vincent? Do you even know who he is? He’s the head of the second-largest family in Hiphia and the chairman of the Seclela Tai Chi Association. Someone like him is way out of your league. And you just claimed you had dinner with him. Why didn’t you just say he invited you?”
“Because he did invite me,” Kayden replied without hesitation.
Georgia was at a loss for words.
She handed the car keys to Kayden, saying, “Enough, just stop talking and drive us home. You’re going to drive me crazy. All you do is brag and lie,” after the words, she sighed.
“I’m not bragging. I’m telling the truth,” Kayden said, feeling helpless.
But Georgia rolled her eyes at him, completely unconvinced.
Left with no choice, Kayden went to get the car.
Sitting in the car, Georgia’s anger had mostly subsided.
“You can relax. I meant every word I said. Even if I lied to everyone else in the world, I would never lie to you,” Kayden suddenly said.
Hearing Kayden’s words, Georgia’s anger flared up again.
“I told you to stop talking. Look at the mess you’ve made! It’s bad enough that you were bragging, but why did you have to make a bet with Jasper? Do you even know how awful Jasper is?”
Jasper used to bully a classmate in high school, forcing him to kneel in front of him at the school gate. After that, he even made the poor guy crawl under his legs. That classmate eventually dropped out and reportedly developed depression.
In short, bullying others and trampling on their dignity is what those kind of guys love to do the most.
“Forget it, I’ll figure out a way to get the invitations myself,” Georgia decided not to argue with Kayden any further.
She realized it was pointless to rely on Kayden to get the invitations, so she’d have to try on her own.
Three days passed.
Georgia was busy working at the company during these three days, leaving early and coming home late. She had finally earned the recognition of the company’s top executives. Besides Beckett’s influence, Georgia’s own performance had also been excellent.
As for Kayden, after waking up, he would go out and not return until late at night. He was still trying to recover his inner strength, but it seemed he had hit a bottleneck and couldn’t break through to the third level of his martial arts.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s mom Scarlett had been going out every day to show off the three-million-dollar diamond ring she had received.
As soon as Kayden woke up this morning, Georgia urgently said to him, “Kayden, I’ve arranged for you to stay with my aunt in the countryside for a few days. You can come back after Jasper leaves the country.”
“What?” Kayden asked, confused. “Why should I hide from him?”
Seeing Kayden’s indifference, Georgia became more anxious and frustrated. “Today is the Vincents’ centennial celebration, and I couldn’t get the invitations. You might have forgotten about the bet with Jasper, but he won’t. As long as you’re still in Hiphia, he’ll find a way to humiliate you in front of everyone.”
Kayden sneered and then said, “I have the invitations.”
“You have the invitations?” Georgia repeated, her expression showing clear disbelief.
Just as she was about to continue, Jamie’s voice came from outside the door, “Aren’t you guys leaving yet?”
He then noticed the packed bag on the sofa and asked Kayden, “What? Are you planning to run away?”
Georgia asked sheepishly, “Jamie, what are you doing here? We’re just going out for a bit.”
“Doing what? Everyone knows about the bet this idiot made with Mr. Robinson. Of course, I’m here to see if you managed to get the invitations. As family, it’s only natural for me to be concerned.” Jamie said with a smirk, crossing his arms.
“We don’t need your concern. Get lost,” Georgia said with a stern face.
“Georgia, didn’t you get the invitations?” Jamie chuckled and asked. “If not, you can ask me for help. I have a friend whose father does business with the Vincents.”
