26-Calling Hell.
Arianna POV.
I first had to call to some demon, I didn’t have any personal connection with them, I wasn’t a dominant, I’m a submissive, which means I’m not the head of the family, and I’m mostly kept out of those things, they are dangerous for me, and I agree. But today I needed to do that, I had to go and get the number, I looked at uncle Dante office, hoping he left with Andy to get him ice cream, his ice cream addiction is finally coming to my aid.
The office was empty, I slipped in and started to look around for any sign of number or any kind of contact with demons, he has one, but I can’t find it, I don’t think it’ll be on a file with the word demon contact on it.
I wasn’t about to get defeated from this, I’ll find the number, I moved to my dad’s office, he’s the right hand of my uncle, it’ll be easier for me to search through his office, I can lie and say I’m being a good daughter who wants to help him with his work. I walked inside the office with a fake smile, it’s the only one I could master since Scar left, he and papa were both in the office, but I wasn’t going to abandon ship yet.
“Hey guys, you need help?” I ask in a sweet voice.
“You okay Arianna?” Dad asks I’ll only help when I’m being forced to do so.
“Yeah, I just want to help you guys,” I say trying not to sound too obvious, they always have a ton of paperwork to do.
“Okay, can you start with that pile?” papa says handing me a pile of papers to get through, I kept reading the papers hoping I’ll be lucky enough to find the demon contact, but most of what I had was the vampires inside the house requests and bills, nothing helpful.
I kept working with them for the rest of the day, waiting for them to take a break, they will soon, I hope, the papers kept coming until papa called quit and went to get a drink.
“You want anything guys?” he asks us, I shake my head no, and wait for him to leave the room before turning to dad.
“Dada, I want juice to please,” I ask him making my voice sound more of little me, it’s been so long since I slipped, they would take any chance to get me to slip.
“Sure little bat, stay here,” he says leaving the room, I jumped toward his computer, I checked his emails, I skipped all the business ones until I found the email he sent to the demon to get Ebony here.
There was a phone number there, I was quick to memories the number, closing the tabs and going back to my place, waiting for my juice, I took the sippy cup from my dad with a thank you before leaving the room. I took my cup and ran to my room, the number still fresh in my head, I hit call right away before I could talk myself out of this.
“Yes?” a cold voice answered.
“I want to talk to one of the lords,” I say trying to sound more dominant than I am really.
“A lord? And who would that be? I’m busy here!” the demon answers angry now, talking about being rude.
“Lord Scar,” I say, it was weird to call him lord, but I had to do it, I held my breath waiting for his answer.
“Lord Scar isn’t taking any calls, Arlo is,” he says, whoever Arlo is, I hope he could help me too.
“Fine,” I say annoyed, trying to match his rude voice.
“What’s your message!” he yells into the phone making me whimper, I hate being yelled at, but I wanted to talk to Scar no matter what.
“Tell him to tell the lord that, the little fox wants to meet and talk,” I say, hoping he would deliver my message to Scar, I wanted to dream about him again, I want to see him, I missed him.
The line went dead, I knew I had a protection spell on me, but it’s not impossible to break, the books down in the library could tell me how, I remember when I’m angry at Scar I wouldn’t dream of him, but now, all I want to do is dream about him and see him.
