Bambi POV.
“I’m better,” I whine assuring him I was better, I’m not sick anymore, but still Christopher won’t allow me to get back to work saying I’m sick.
“You should rest for an extra day, maybe tomorrow,” he answers me, but I can’t survive until tomorrow, I’m so bored of staying here the whole day, even with him spending a lot of time with me, although I’m really enjoying his company, he has to get out and check on the littles, and the trainers while I’m here alone and bored.
“Nu-uh, you can rest, me going out,” I say with a sassy voice, not caring anymore, I was done sitting in, and he groans at me, I was so close to being put in the corner a couple of times while sick, but being sick saved from the punishment.
“Bambi, if you’re feeling this much better, why don’t you go say hi to the corner?” he replies to me matching my sassiness.
“I’ll go! But I want to get out of the room today!” I say I’m not scared of being put in the corner, we talked about it, timeout is time for me to think through what I did and to calm down, it doesn’t mean he hates me, even if I want to believe he does.
“Maybe if you’re good and obey me for the rest of the morning, I’ll let you out,” he says, see he does understand me now, he knows how to deal with me now.
“Okay,” I say skipping the timeout, going to get dressed, he’s been dressing me since I moved in his room and didn’t leave again.
“Nope, Bambi, you got five minutes to serve first,” he says, reminding me of the timeout I have to serve now.
“Fine!” I say and go to the corner, crossing my arms over my chest and standing there, waiting for the five minutes to end, I didn’t do anything.
“Little deer,” he calls me when the time was over, it took too long, but finally it ended, little deer is my nickname since day one, and when he says Bambi, it’s when I’m in trouble.
“Yes?” I say kind of hurt, I know I’m a big girl and I know he’s not mad at me, and he still loves me, but the timeout is never fun.
“Why did I punish you?” he asks me a question I hate answering to that question, why was I punished? I don’t know because he’s a big meanie!
“Nu-know,” I answer him, with a big pout on my face.
“You got punished because of your attitude little one, you have to be polite, when you want something ask me for it, and don’t be mean,” he says, I just nod, no promises, I’ll still fight and have a bad attitude.
“Good girl,” he says hugging me, that’s the best part, the punishment is icky, but the hug afterwards makes me feel much better. Now we had the chance to leave the room, I already had my breakfast in bed with him, since he’s keeping me in, but I’m ready to cause havoc outside, and maybe get some time to think about what happened during my sick days.
“Hey Pauly, how are you baby?” I ask him, sitting next to him, although I missed everyone, I missed him a lot.
“Me okay, why you been missing?” he asks me.
“I was sick, sorry,” I say blushing, why am I sorry for being sick, I don’t know.
“It’s okay, you better now?” he says hugging me, I nodded, I was much better and ready to play.
“What did I miss?” I ask him, I know things happen in the department in my absence.
“Katie cried,” he says, I looked at him confused, why did she cry?
“Why?” I ask him.
“Nu know, she went like this,” he says laying down on the ground, hitting both of his hands on the ground, and making a fake crying noise.
“She screamed cause DJ was a big meanie,” he says, my friend threw a tantrum, wow, I didn’t want to see that, I know I don’t like seeing people get in trouble or punished, I already served timeout a couple of times.
“That’s bad Pauly,” I say and he just nods his head, we went back to drawing, I try my best to push him to play with the other littles, but he’s only interested in drawing and following Hazel around.
“Pauly, it’s nap time sweetie, wrap it up with Bambi,” Hazel comes in and checks on us.
“No nap,” he answers her with a shrug, I knew from staying with Chris, that it’s not a good choice or answer, he’ll end up in trouble.
“Yes, nap, come on sweetie,” Hazel says, picking him up from the floor, and hugging him, but Paul although he’s a short thing, he’s still a supernatural and he could shift, and for the first time in my whole life, I saw a wolf for real.
Paul shifted into his wolf form, he’s not that big, he’s like the size of a dog, maybe a husky, his brown fur was beautiful and very shiny, all I wanted to do was touch him, would he be soft as much as he looks, would he allow me to touch him?
“He’s beautiful,” I say looking at him with adoration.
“Pauly, that’s not nice, you’re scaring your friend,” Hazel says carefully, looking at him, cornering him in, in response, he barked at her, and turned to me, jumping into my lap, well he jumped over me, and I did hug him. He was so soft to touch, I didn’t know that wolves could be this soft, but his playing time was over, Christopher stepped in.
“Paul! Shift back immediately, you are not allowed to shift indoors,” Chris says in a very dominant voice, scaring both me and Pauly. But the little wolf wasn’t happy at all with being yelled at, he got up from above me, and went down on the floor near me, hitting all four of his paws over the ground, screaming and yelling.
He was throwing a tantrum, just like the one he told me Katie did it, he’s copying her, it’s the first time I have ever seen a wolf throwing a tantrum, but he did, and now Hazel is also mad at him, she picked him off the ground and walked out of the room with him in her hands.
“As a reminder to everyone around here, shifting is not allowed, you don’t want to see my other face, nor you want the alpha to get down here,” Chris the boss warns everyone in a dominant voice.
