Coffee.

Bambi POV.
“Katie, I’m going to give you a headstart, start running toward our room,” DJ says when he caught us drinking the coffee, I giggled at them, seeing Katie run away.
“Keep running Katie,” he calls after her, then mumbled something similar to maybe she’d burn the caffeine off.
“And what about you little girl, black coffee before bed?” he scolds me, I looked down avoiding his eyes, well it’s a hot drink.
“I’m not sleepy,” I tell him, I wasn’t tired, I could stay awake for hours now.
“You’re going to bed, I need to deal with Katie, I’m calling someone to keep an eye on you,” he says making me groan, I don’t need anyone, I’m fine.
“I’m fine!” I call to his back but he kept walking ignoring me, going to get someone to babysit me, while I glared knives at his back.
“What’s going on little deer you’re okay?” of course, the boss is the one who came to check on me, I think DJ hates me for letting his little drink coffee.
“I’m okay, I don’t know what’s up with DJ,” I say with a sigh, I was just enjoying some time off and enjoying my coffee.
“You shouldn’t be drinking coffee this late,” he tries to scold me but I just rolled my eyes at him, sure sure, everyone is the boss of me now, not that I care.
“If you enjoy drinks late at night, we can have tea, I can even get you some cookies,” he says with a wink, making me smile, that was good bribery, I’ll take the tea and cookies.
“Okay, I’m gonna go to bed,” I say getting up, like I said the coffee is warm and helps me sleep.
“Good night love,” he says, I just nod and keep moving to my bed, getting in my comfy PJ after a scolding hot shower that helps my muscle relax, I love my new job, but it’s tiring most days, and coffee or not, I managed to fall asleep right away.
The next morning I had to wake up early again, before the littles and the doms, and I moved like the coffee zombie I’m every morning to go and get my daily dose, but when I opened my door and was ready to get out, I saw the boss standing there with my coffee in his hand, a new mug that I’ve never seen before. It was purple with the word Little Deer on it, his nickname for me.
“For the special princess,” he says offering it to me, it was black just like I love it, and the mug, that was special, no one has ever gotten me a special mug.
“Thank you,” I say my cheeks turning red, but I was super excited about the mug, I was super happy, this gift meant more than any expensive gift I ever got. I can’t sell this one, nobody would care about it, but for me, it’s the best.
“I know you love coffee, I do too,” he says raising his cup to me, making me smile.
“Come on, before the littles wake up,” he says taking me to sit and enjoy our coffee, he opened small talk with me.
“I can go wake them up,” I say, seeing all the trainers get busy, it’s nine littles and three trainers, which means three littles each.
“No stay with me, the trainers can take care of them, tell me more about you,” he says, but I couldn’t tell him much, not about my old life, that one is over.
“I’m just here, trying to work,” I say, I wasn’t embarrassed with my old job, but it’s a story I’d prefer to keep in the past.
“Hey, Bambi, you sit with me?” Pauly says walking toward me, we’re having breakfast soon when the doms come over, the one who does come this early.
I sat with Pauly again, the doms left him alone for the morning, maybe it was him growling at them when they tried to sit too close to him, I also saw Theo who smiled and nodded at me before taking a seat next to one of the girls.
“What do you want to do today?” I ask Pauly, hoping to get away from the rest of the littles and have some time alone with him.
“Wanna play with you,” he says making me smile, we both went to the playroom and took a corner of our own, I got Pauly some colouring books along with crayons.
“No Pauly, don’t eat them, colour with them,” I say pulling the crayon out of his mouth, not allowing him to eat it.
“Nu yummy?” he asks me, and I shake my head no, they aren’t eatable.
“Nope, colour, look,” I say showing him how to use it, Pauly is regressing to very young age and he doesn’t know how to use crayons.
“Okay,” he says and starts colouring, I did the same, I didn’t know how much colouring is fun or how much I’d enjoy it!
We played most of the day, drawing and colouring, at lunch I sat with Pauly again, and I did get the little food again, I tried to object about it first, but deep down I was really enjoying the sippy cup, it’s super fun to drink from, I wondered if I could put coffee in it, that would be really yummy, ice coffee in a sippy cup.
“You need to eat as well, not just drink,” the boss warns me, I blush at being scolded, but the sippy cup is so good. I went back to eating my food, and making small chats with Pauly while we ate, Hazel had to practically feed him, pulling him into her lap, and making airplane noises to get him to eat.
“Girls you got some paperwork to end,” Luca calls us into the office later during nap time for the littles, we had to file off all the doms’ requests to court the littles.
“What are these for?” I asked Katie while working along with her.
“If a dom wants to take a little home, they need to file a request first, to keep it all official,” she answers me, I nodded and kept on working.
“DJ had to file a request to stay my daddy at work,” Katie says with a giggle.
“Was it denied? I know the alpha, I can help you out,” I tease her back.
“No it was accepted, sadly,” she says with a giggle, making me laugh as well, as we finished our work for now, and maybe we can make some coffee before the littles get up, iced coffee in a sippy cup.
