Katie POV.
I didn’t know that I could get grounded, I’m a little, I spend all my time with some kind of an adult who’s keeping their eyes on me, and now I’m grounded, even mommy said it’s stupid to ground me, and she was scolded as well, and told if she doesn’t shut it she’ll get grounded next.
“Fine, ground the girl who doesn’t go anywhere unless if she’s carried there,” mommy mumbles and I have to hold back my laugh, but I pretend to be hurt, so he won’t find another punishment for me, one that would actually mean a thing to me.
“Sorry mommy, sorry daddy,” I say out loud playing the role still, but deep down I’m very relieved.
“It’s more of your fault for leaving her alone,” mommy scolded him, she’s not happy about what happened today, she’s really mad, and I mean really mad.
“I had work to do Evelyn, and she was with another vampire,” daddy defended himself.
“Yes, with another little, I know you’re old but I know you remember that those two girls are the youngest vampires that we had in that batch,” Evelyn says, I’m one of the youngest? I know I’m very young, but not that I’m the youngest little ever.
“She was in my office, and they had others near them, they only drew, they are littles,” William says defending what happened.
“But they are babies, they could eat the pencils and crayons, they could climb on things, put their fingers in the electricity socket,” Evelyn says, those are things we might have done, but I know that I shouldn’t do them, I’m not that stupid and neither is Angie.
“I’m a vampire, I don’t get hurt,” I poke in trying to get them to stop fighting.
“It’s not the point, he shouldn’t be leaving you two alone,” Evelyn says sounding frustrated.
“I made a mistake, that doesn’t make me a bad daddy Evelyn, and accidents happen,” William says.
“Not when it comes to littles, not when it comes to her, you promised that work won’t be your number one priority, and still you have left them behind for your work,” she says, that was very mean of her.
“That’s low Evelyn, I didn’t abandon her for my work, I left her in my office and I went back for her,” he says sounding hurt, I didn’t want him to be hurt, I was going to go toward him, to hug him, but I was stopped by her reaction.
“I don’t think this is going to work William, or I can’t go back to work, I’ll stay home with her,” Evelyn says.
“But I want to go to work with him again,” I say on the verge of tears.
“Evelyn, you should take a break,” he warns her, but she is too angry to notice how she’s affecting everyone with her emotions.
“Come here, I’ll file my rescindment letter to the school,” Evelyn says picking me up and leaving the living room, she took us up to her bedroom, but I couldn’t help the tears anymore, I was very hurt by her.
“Why are you crying, sweetie?” Evelyn says trying to hug me.
“You and daddy are fighting,” I say with more tears going down my face.
“I’m sorry baby, I didn’t mean to fight with him in front of you,” she says and I cried some more, would she fight some more with him behind my back? I didn’t want them two to break up when I finally made amend with the fact that we’re all together, all four of us, including Tiger of course.
“You are breaking up,” I say with more tears going down my face.
“We’re not breaking up,” Mommy assures me but it didn’t look like it, it looked like they were ending their whole relationship and I couldn’t take it.
“Yes, you are,” I say with more tears going down my face.
“Would it be too bad if we do, you can stay with me, don’t you like me?” she asks me, I loved her, but I also liked William.
“But what about daddy William?” I ask her.
“I… I…” she says, and then the door opens and in came the one we were talking about.
“Hey girls, I need to talk to you,” William says walking in, he looks at the two of us with sad eyes.
“Are you going to break up?” I ask him.
“No,” they both answered me at the same time, I could breathe in relief but I was still too afraid that they might just leave each other what if I had to pick between them two, I’d never know who to pick, I kept on thinking tears going down my face.
“Katie, it’s just a small fight, we’re not going to break up,” mommy assures me.
“We’ll be in the other room for a minute,” daddy says, he holds mommy’s hand and pulls her out of the room, I stay alone in the room until an orange and black small creature comes over and keeps me company, hugging me tight.
They came back after a couple of minutes, they didn’t yell, they weren’t fighting anymore, they both looked very sorry for whatever they just did, they took a seat next to me, sandwiching me in the middle between them two.
“We’re sorry for what we did,” Mommy starts telling me she’s sorry for fighting.
“We don’t mean to break up or fight, but we both get too emotional when it comes to you,” daddy says.
“Okay,” I say listening to them talking still.
“Do you want to be with me too? Or is it just Evelyn?” Daddy asks, sometimes it feels like he’s very stupid, he needs to be told details about what we really need, maybe it’s a boy thing.
“I do,” I answer him.
“How about you both go to school?” Mommy says.
“Why?” I ask her.
“Because if we both make it to school we can talk with the current director and sign a contract, it’ll be between the three of us, even if we fight, there’s no more letting me go, we’ll be a family,” William answers me, and I nod I could do that, then we’ll be a family, we’ll all be together.
“Okay,” I agree with them.
“And just so you know, you two need to attend at least three classes or private classes and then you two can graduate,” Mommy says.
“Can the classes be yours?” I ask her making big puppy eyes at her, I love her classes best and she can pass us without trying.
“Sorry sweetie, they can’t be mine, how about you try Sir Nicholas’s classes? He has a full class about polyamorous couples,” she suggests.
“Yeah, we can do those,” William says with a tight smile.
“Mommy, he doesn’t want to go to school, right?” I whisper to her.
“Not at all, but for you he’d go,” she whispered back making me giggle.
It was set we’re going to go to school, all three of us are going back there, and William is going to be a student this time instead of just being a boss, when I suggested that he needs to wear a uniform he was ready to kill me, but he couldn’t kill me, not since he’s going to school for me.
I wore the uniform, the same old blue uniform, I did my hair and skipped adding any kind of make up, I love to put some sometimes, but not always, mommy clipped my pacifier to my shirt, it’s the school rule for any little under the age of three, we have to have them on us all time, we could also bring our stuffies to school all the time, and we have some at school to use as well.
“I’m done,” I say standing in front of daddy ready to leave for school.
“Oh my god, you look adorable,” daddy sasy looking me up and down, he never saw me in the full uniform before.
“I know she’s one of the cutest in school,” mommy agrees with him.
“And how did you keep her all those years? She’s so cute if I see her, I’d steal her,” uncle Dylan says joining the conversation, he walked in holding Viki’s hand, his full time brat.
“Didn’t she go to school?” I ask pointing to Viki.
“Nu-uh, I’m too good for school,” she says, as a very typical brat that she is.
“She’s to bad for school we met in prison,” uncle Dylan says.
“For real?” I ask them not really beliving them, they are for real?
“Well, yeah, but then he bailed me out and in return I had to be with him,” she says with an eye roll.
“Nope, I saved you and kept you since you’re cute,” Dylan says teasing the little brat.
“Nu-uh, I kept you cause you’re hot,” she argues with him.
“Thank you Viki, but that’s not how it happened,” he starts, he just fell into her oldest trap, he started argued with her.
“Are you going to join us at school?” I ask them stopping them from arguing anymore.
“Icky school,” Viki says making a face.
“victoria, they chose to go to school, we shouldn’t be making fun of them, I used to drop you at daycare,” he says reminding her of some kind of bad memories since she groaned.
“Icky, icky,” she says.
“We need to get going,” Mommy says getting our attention back at her, we nod and leave the other couple fighting, they were going to take forever if they keep acting like this.
We got in the car and I strapped back like before, I tried offering to sit alone in the seat but they didn’t allow me to, they said that I’m too young for that.
“How many classes I need to attend to again?” Daddy asks out loud.
“Three and you have to pass them, it’s not just attending,” she warns him.
“Of course, I don’t want to fail a class, what would they do to their president and leader if I can’t even pass some stupid classes,” he says.
“Don’t call the classes stupid William, please, not in front of her, or in front of the other students,” mommy warns him and I nod, he shouldn’t be calling the classes names, that’s very rude of him.
“I won’t,” he promises her, but I felt like he’s lying, I didn’t believe him, we made it to school soon, and we all walked in, I held daddy’s hand seeing everyone looking at us, we should tell them that we’re all together. We skipped breakfast since we ate at home, we went toward the first class of the day, I wasn’t sure how long we’re staying in here but we started with Sir Nicholas class.
Daddy sat in the back and tried to hide, I giggled at his moves, he tried to hide from the teacher, but it’s Sir Nicholas, he’s the one who loves talking with his students and always give us his full attention, he’s one of the best teacher out there.
“Good morning class, glad to see new faces, today’s class is about sharing our mates, I know it’s not always simple to be poly, sometimes we need extra care, others we need to give our mates their space, but even then, we’re not breaking up just because they need some time without us, or with you without the other one,” he starts to explain and we all paid attention to him, I know mommy and daddy love to have their own alone time at night when I sleep.
“Daddy pay attention,” I scold him when he got busy on his phone, we can’t just come here and not pay attention to classes, he’s gonna fail and we won’t be able to graduate.
“I’m paying attention, don’t worry,” he assures me, but he wasn’t, his eyes were glued to the phone, I tried to read what he’s doing, but I didn’t understand anything for the emails he was checking, so I ignored him.
